We did not have a reservation but we dined in around 5pm on a Friday with no wait since the place just opened up. Our server was really nice/friendly and she really knew the menu by heart. Ambiance was nice, not too impressive and not much of a view either. We ordered the mussel sautéd with wine and garlic as an appetizer (not listed but I think it's one of the newer dishes they are trying out?) The mussels were cooked perfectly and matched the sauce. I forgot to mention they gave complimentary bread--garlic focaccia and sour dough with butter. Prior to the main entrees our server gave us a palate cleanser sorbet which was refreshing. I ordered the shrimp scampi--shrimp was perfectly cooked and juicy..not chewy and dry at all. The linguine was a tad sour for me but it's ok. My partner ordered the ribeye medium cooked with potatoes and brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked to perfection as well! He was highly impressed and every bite he took it seemed like he was in heaven. The Brussel sprouts was a perfect complement to the dish. We managed to have some room for dessert and ordered the sticky toffee pudding. Since it was our anniversary, it was complimentary. Can't complaint about free dessert. Overall, we were surprised by this restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. Compliments to the chef!

He was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and had the perfect personality for the atmosphere. Great service can truly elevate a dining experience, and Ryan did exactly that. The food was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was exceptional. The batter was light, crispy, and perfectly seasoned--honestly, I enjoyed it even more than traditional beer-battered fish. The fish itself was flaky and cooked just right. As for the fries, I'm personally a steak-fry enthusiast, so shoestring fries aren't usually my favorite. It would have been nice to have an option to choose between fry styles, but that's me. I also ordered a chocolate martini, which was absolutely delicious. The owner personally prepared it, and it was rich, smooth, and hit the spot . Between the cute ambiance, excellent service, and tasty food, Mimosa House made for a great dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

I usually find places with great coffee and some small bites or full breakfasts and meh coffee so Mimosa House having both a bomb cappuccino and a great breakfast is awesome! The wait for the food was also a bit much considering 1/5th of the place was full and we waited an hour from sitting down to getting food. We weren't mad because the service was great and kept us updated but I would be a bit concerned to come if it was any busier.

It's an awesome spot for drinks, especially if you're looking for somewhere that feels different from the usual bar or restaurant. The whole setting made it feel like a real date-night spot instead of just somewhere to grab a drink. And the food was delicious too. We genuinely enjoyed everything about the night and already know we'll be coming back. I've heard some rumors that the place may eventually be sold or change ownership, and I really hope whoever takes it over someday keeps the character and atmosphere that makes Falcon's Lair so unique.
