Total vibe! Drinks were amazing! DJ was playing some throwbacks and the whole place was a vibe! Minus 1 star because our server was swamped not her fault she was great but they really need more help on a busy Saturday night.

Darrin was our bartender at the Revival tonight. He did the art of mixology which is a complementary hands-on- cocktail making experience. 21+ and older and was great! Thank you! Enjoy your experience in Sacramento! Xo

A glass of ice What they call a drink this is before I even took one sip out of the drink

Went to Revival hoping for a solid craft cocktail, big mistake. Sat at the bar and ordered a Crystal Plumed Bird and Shishito Peppers off their Golden Hour menu. I stay at the hotel pretty often, but because of the poor reviews and a menu that never looks that appealing, I usually stay away. Decided to give it a shot, big mistake! When my drink came out, it looked like a snow cone a glass completely packed with ice and maybe one ounce of liquor. Two sips, gone. I asked the bartender if they do smaller pours for happy hour, and she just shrugged and said, "No, that's the way it is," with zero effort or attitude that said she cared. Meanwhile, the bartenders one of them name started with T were too busy gossiping about customers from the night before instead of actually paying attention to the people sitting in front of them. Super unprofessional. And to top it all off, the Golden Hour drink that should've been $12 was charged at the full $16. Between the smallest drink I've ever been served, bad service, and being overcharged this place has completely gone downhill. Won't be coming back.

Revival is one of few rooftop bars in Sacramento, and it's a fun spot to enjoy a casual happy hour! I recently stopped by for Sunset Sips and had a reservation, although I don't think it's needed during the slower summer season. Our server was very pleasant, and when I asked about the Sunset Sips series, she was able to give me the run down. I wish that Revival carried a print menu since that would've helped with the promotion. I ended up ordering the "Penthouse and Prosper", which is Revival's take on a "Millionaire Margarita." It was so good, well balanced, and only $9! Besides the Sunset Sips series, Revival also has a "Golden Hour" menu, which we ordered a couple more drinks and food off of. I'd recommend passing on the food, but think the drink deals are a steal considering standard prices. Overall, fun spot to enjoy a well crafted cocktail and unbeatable views of DOCO!

"I am a Latino American, and I visited the restaurant with my younger cousin. The waitress requested that a card be kept on file. I informed her that we would be paying in cash and offered to still provide a card if needed. The waitress then proceeded to request that she retain my cousin's personal California driver's license. I have dined here many times and have never experienced this type of issue. When I inquired with the manager, Tony, he stated that it was a form of 'collateral.' I then asked another staff member, Pete, whether this was a normal procedure, and he stated that he was 'not aware of such a protocol.' Following this interaction, the manager's demeanor became hostile. Due to the situation, I requested that our order be canceled and returned. Despite this request, the manager insisted that we still pay for the burger even though we had already asked to cancel the order. This experience was concerning and unprofessional. I will also be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau (BBB)."

This place was stunning ! The drinks and food were on point - we had a large group but the service was top notch!! Great views of DOCO and the pool! We willl definitely be back - super fun with a large group

We were excited to head to Revival to celebrate a birthday tonight. We made a reservation online for 4pm for an outdoor spot. We arrived right as they opened at 4pm and were the first guests in. They informed us there was no outdoor seating until 7pm, which was one of my main reasons we chose this spot. We were seated inside which was still beautiful and comfortable. We ordered within the first five minutes, still the only people to have ordered and our drinks took 32 minutes to come out. The manager noticed, and told us they were on their way. But a little too late. We ordered three cocktails and a glass of wine, they were out of the first two wines I requested. After the long delay they did give a generous wine pour. Two of the three cocktails were really good, the third was very bad and was almost untouched. We saw our server twice - to take our order and give us the bill. Someone else delivered our drinks. All in all bad service. The manager tried, but didn't make enough of an effort to make up for the experience. We visit the Kimpton where we live often and were excited to try this but it was a huge miss. Very disappointing.

This is my second time coming to Revival, but first time trying their food and drinks. Revival is located inside the Sawyer Hotel which is across from Golden 1. The views are so nice, being a rooftop bar, but also having an indoor area. I ordered the flourless chocolate cake as well as the White Velvet drink. The White Velet had coding blanco, coconut, lime juice, pomegranate, and cointreau. I was not the biggest fan of the taste of the drink, although I always appreciate drinks with pebble ice. The chocolate cake was okay, however, the service was very slow, and for the price, I expected the slice to be a little bigger. I would recommend Revival just for the great views.

I've been to the Revival for lunch and dinner (happy hours, birthdays, etc) and have always had an amazing time. This time we stopped in for happy hour before going to dinner and it was perfect. We ordered a few appetizers and cocktails. What a perfect evening and pleasant atmosphere always.

The girls and I came here for the roof top bar and had a blast. I had the wedge salad with chicken, lobster roll and a glass of prosecco. We also had a plate of fries that were not a full plate. The manager addressed the fries which made it better. Great atmosphere and nice staff we'll come back soon.

We got here right at 4 pm when they open and they were immediately getting busy. It's a great chill place to grab drinks and have a snack or two. It's within Kimpton hotel so you can park in the DOCO parking garage which is very convenient. It did take some time for our drinks to come out but the staff were nice. I do love the ambience inside, modern but laid back. Would come back for happy hour!

Where do i even start. Revival has a delicious menu and offer weekly specials such as my favorites, Taco tuesday or all the weekend vibes with a live DJ! If you thought that was the best part, wait until you see the Sacramento Kings light the beam from Revival's rooftop bar! Revival just has it all from Amazing service, Delicous food and allllll the vibes!

Recommended and can see why! Delicious cocktails and decor. Upon entering, you feel the vibes from the pool and the sun and that can be a nice feeling on a Taco Tuesday. Cheers and Enjoy!

There is no age limit. It's pretty family oriented.

Can you swim in the pool if you buy drinks at the bar?

I remember from the video they said this was considered a "bartenders bar",the kind of spot that that bartenders and workers in the industry would hangout after their shifts-I liked the sound of that. Walking up to where I thought the bar was located,it was kinda funny because it was just an innocent looking blue door with the words "Cocktail" along the side-doesn't look like much at all,I'd imagine I've walked by this place many times without thinking of ever going in-that was changing this time. When I walked in I 100% knew I was stumbling upon something special-it was a tiny place but it was overflowing with energy, not many booths in this bar and it may be the smallest bar I've ever been to but it felt special.Looking at the clientele I felt like I was with my people,it was so cool in there. This is the kind of place I would take my wife and any of my friends before a special night out and be it a dinner or a concert or a production at Safe Performing Arts Center and feel like it would set the right vibe for the night. A coupe of things about this bar-they do only have 1 unisex bathroom,it was very clean. Also this place is so old school that they are a "Cash-Only " bar. They do have an atm in the bar in case you forget your cash. They have a big fish tank behind the bar that really put the room together nicely-I liked it a lot. In closing,if you ever find yourself in the Ice Blocks part of midtown and want to experience an awesome bar that feels very unique-head on down to Frank and have a drink or two-you won't regret it-I think I may have found my new favorite bar in all of Sacramento. The restaurant is quite small inside with very limited seating, but the outdoor patio is beautiful. Be ready to likely sit outside, but enjoy the atmosphere. We started with the mezcal old fashioned and the cucumber jalapeño margarita. The mezcal old fashioned was a delicious smoky twist on the classic cocktail. The cucumber jalapeño margarita was refreshing, though a little sweeter than I expected and missing the spicy kick I was hoping for. The guacamole was fresh and tasty, but the portion was quite small and barely enough for two people in my opinion. The salsa was also small but it was absolutely phenomenal. The chicken tacos were excellent, with tender chicken that was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The enmoladas were also fantastic and are a great way to sample Oaxaca's three unique mole sauces, each with its own distinct character. One thing to note is that the chicken filling is intentionally prepared very simply in traditional Oaxacan cuisine so that the mole remains the star of the dish. If you prefer heavily seasoned meat, this dish may be milder than what you are used to. Overall, everything we tried was delicious and offered a wonderful taste of authentic Oaxacan flavors. Our meal for two included one cocktail each, chips and guacamole, three chicken tacos, and three enmoladas, and came to about $100 with tip.

None of that nasty "margarita mix" here. $9 on happy hour. woo! - Guacamole: umm.. disappointing... rather bland; though, not diluted with sour cream or anything like that.. just kinda tasted like mashed up avocados.. there was a sprinkling of some red powder on top that I couldn't taste.. I didn't taste teh mint, basil, nor jalapeno that's described on the menu. It also came out refrigerator-cold, so that kinda muted the flavors as well. But I let it sit out throughout my meal to try it after it had "warmed" up a bit, but alas... still bland.. it was served with some salsa as well, which was quite nice. - Enmoladas: this is a trio of chicken enchiladas with each of their 3 moles: red, yellow, and black. The red and black mole were great; the yellow was kinda bland (at least, in comparison). Unfortunately, the chicken in my enchiladas was super bland. It tasted like there was zero seasoning & that they just poached it? And, the pieces of chicken were pretty thick too, which accentuated the blandness... so, I kinda mashed it up as I went along so I could get that delicious mole flavor mixed in with the chicken. - Tlayuda: this is kinda like tostada. it was okay. not great; not terrible. just fine. it ate kinda dry... like it needed some sauce... and, some spice would've been nice as well. this one will not really fill you up; it's more of an appetizer. - Kid's cheese quesadilla: this thing is pretty small; it uses the same tortillas as the tacos, so it's not very big/filling at all, but at least it comes with beans and rice. so, while I loved the margarita and the mole, there was a fair amount of disappointment along the way. perhaps, I'll stop by again if I'm in the neighborhood & would like a nice mezcal or tequila-based cocktail and a small bite to eat, but I'll think twice about having a full dinner.

We got to try the Den Old Fashioned, the Pink Pepper Club, and an espresso martini-ish drink, and yummmm. The Den Old Fashioned was really good and nicely balanced. I am not usually a fan of green chartreuse, but it is blended in a way that does not overpower the drink, which I really appreciated. The Pink Pepper Club was probably my favorite of the three. It is perfectly refreshing with that dry grapefruit profile, and it doesn't lean too sweet, which makes it super easy to sip. And the espresso martini was exactly how I like it. Not sweet, not overly milky, just clean, strong, and very drinkable. Delish. The atmosphere is also a standout. It feels like you are transported somewhere else the moment you walk in. It has a classic, old, moody vibe that makes the whole experience feel a bit more special and great date night spot. The bartenders were kind and helpful as well. Overall, everything felt intentional and well executed, and it is definitely a spot I would go back to for another round of cocktails.
