The entire place screams "we're a sweets place" Which I appreciate. Tons of different cupcakes and confections adorn the displays, and I let the girlfriend pick a pack. The cupcakes were very light but sturdy. Kind of like a angels food cake without the hard exterior and not as chewy. The frosting was very dense, like disks of buttercream on each cupcake. The flavors were well balanced, the filled cupcakes had a creamy curd which didn't make the cupcake soggy. They were sweet, but not overbearingly sweet. Price came out to about 21 dollars for 6. Not too bad for the quality. These are good cupcakes, but not the best I have ever had. The dense frosting detracts from the soft crumb of the cupcake, which makes it easier to eat but also makes it less cohesive. Make no mistake, they are a very good cupcake and one of the few places in CT dedicated to the craft. If you need cupcakes, this is a good choice. For me, it needs a little more balannce

Brookie: half chocolate cookie and half semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie; a very good combo. Chocolate Milkshake: chocolate cookie with chocolate sprinkles, chocolate mousse, and whipped cream. I loved this one, the mousse was so creamy. Milk Chocolate Chip: a classic cookie. Can't go wrong with it, batter was great. It's very similar to the semi-sweet chocolate chunk cookie but with smaller milk chocolate chips. Overall, the cookies were large and tasted delicious; service was great. If you sell single cookies and offer customers the option to add birthday gift packaging, you should have appropriate packaging available--or at minimum offer another box that will safely hold the cookie. Amazing!!!! My whole family loves this place. It has a great atmosphere and there are tons of tasty options for everyone including awesome vegan and gluten free foods. I've been a vegetarian for 14 years and the vegan chicken salad sandwich is one of the best vegan dishes I've ever had. (The smoothies are also delicious!) To make it even better, they try to buy as many ingredients as they can locally so everything tastes fresh! We've been back multiple times and everything we've tried so far has been awesome. The parking situation is a little weird, there's some spots in front or by the side, but they are not really marked well. But there's a lot of spaces for the actual dining space. The inside is simple but clean, lots of seats for the space and a reasonable display for their pastries and donuts. The menu is simple and the options are low. It's very much designed to be a quick breakfast spot. I opted for one of their donuts and a latte, with a French toast platter. Food came out quickly, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was okay. The donut was large, cakey but freshly made. The strawberry frosting was a little heavy on the extract which gave a chemically taste to the frosting, but it wasn't off putting just noticeable. The French toast was slightly undercooked, but I do enjoy custardity bites so it was good enough. The eggs were also underdone, but I just ignored those. The turkey bacon was crisp and the home fries were seasoned very well. Unlike other home fries I have had, these ones actually had flavor. As a breakfast spot, it does well enough for the local crowd. When done properly, the food put out at this location can be good if not great. I'm fairly confident if I made them aware of my issues, they would resolve them without fail. Upon entering, we were greeted, seated, and given coffee almost immediately (they have very nice cups with their logo them). Breakfast covers all the basics, and as you might expect from their name, they have a fairly large selection of pancakes and french toasts. The pancakes are quite large, and the flavored ones are often (but not always) based on the toppings. We were surprised not to see a breakfast combo on the menu, so we asked our waitress. She indicated that there was indeed a combo, their "Hungry Man/Woman" plate, which featured 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon one sausage patty, home fries and a choice of 1 pancake (Hungry Man) or piece of French Toast (Hungry Woman). Our Hungry Man orders came out very quickly, but even so our coffee cups were refilled twice before that! This was good, if somewhat basic, fare, though I'm sure the specialty pancakes, omelets, benedicts and french toasts have some interesting flavors. Besides refills, we were cheerfully checked on frequently. Locals know the value here, as there were numerous obvious regulars having breakfast and coffee at the counter.

Has been a while since I've been here, and wanted to make sure they were still good. The server I got was a little new, so she didn't have a good cadence to ordering or assisting. but with a little coaching from myself and her senior I was able to get proper seating and get my order placed. The order wasn't translated correctly to the kitchen though, and I ended up getting items that were cooked correctly but literally placed on the plate with wanton abandon. Feeling coy, I decided to take it in my own hands and properly plate my own breakfast. I cut the bread on a diagonal, layer the pieces, drizzle some syrup, and take some pics. Same with the pancake, smear some peanut butter and crumble the bacon (they didn't have banana, so I couldn't do a full elvis pancake) The bread is still really good! The cinnamon swirl bread was soaked well and had a great cinnamon flavor. the cook of the french toast was just right, and it was custardy and flavorful. The pancake was a little lackluster, the peanut butter was cheap and unroasted, so it didn't have a strong peanut butter flavor. the bacon was crispy and salty, which helped a bit. but the peanut butter needed a good roast before being ground up. The order was also a little pricy for what you get, coming up to about 25 bucks for a pancake and two french toast. The add-ons made this breakfast a little too expensive for the quality. Presentation aside, the food was good overall. There was some issues in ordering and with the quality that I got, but the bread's still good and the food's still pretty tasty. So a little bit of a downgrade, but still good overall. Worth a shot if you're in the area
