We have not been to Harvest bakery in many years. We are so glad to have visited for breakfast. The food was exceptional ! The service attentive but not overbearing - they do offer many coffee refills to all patrons. The open seating allows for a lot of tables - the atmosphere is great and I love that even it is busy we can still hear each other at the table. The bakery items are fantastic as well- a great variety of quiches, cakes, muffins and beautifully decorated cupcakes! We will be returning soon! Thank you for the great breakfast...

My brother and I went to Harvest in Simsbury for lunch this afternoon. I've had them in my Yelp search results for a while, today was my first time dining here. I wish I got the name of our waiter, but he was very funny and entertaining. At first I was a bit confused about the entrance, because, I saw people sitting right by the door. As I was looking for the entrance, our waiter popped out and said "You're not going to find any food at the Carpet Cleaners" as he held the door open, referencing to the business next door. It was very busy inside, they have some art work, which is done by local artists. The whole vibe is very homey. I got the Broccoli & Cheddar soup. As I placed my order our waiter called me "M'lady" multiple times. I also got the Broccoli Quiche. My soup arrived in a mug with two slices of their homemade bread. This soup was very delicious, hot and satisfying. It was filled with substantial pieces of broccoli. I can see it being a go to in the winter! My quiche was also very fresh, made with ricotta and broccoli, it was warm and very cheesy! My brother got the Reuben. He also enjoyed it. We had a very pleasant experience at Harvest, with the service we've received here today, I'll be looking forward to next time.

This is a wonderful breakfast and lunch family oriented restaurant. The bakery items are not only delicious they are beautiful to look at. You have to be prepared to wait to be seated. So be patient. The staff Is attentive and happy to talk and make your experience memorable. Coffee is hot and plentiful. The menu is classic, contemporary and festive. Make sure you look at all the seasonal specials. Great choices for vegan and vegetarian customers as well as plenty of gluten free items. They have a lemon crepes on the menu. It comes with four crepes. Since I didn't want it for my entree I asked if I could just have one. They were happy to accommodate. It was so good. Better than any crepes in Paris. So good. The potatoes have a very tasty spice to them. Almost Cajun but not spicy. They were very good. All of our entrees were delicious and very satisfying. Healthy, good clean food. You will love it. Check out the pictures.

This is the best place for breakfast ! They have delicious desserts on the way out as well. The western Benedict is my favorite. The woman at the register is always very sweet . Everyone is very kind and attentive. It is a small place but you will get in there , you can also do take out .

I've always heard such great things about Harvest Cafe, so my brunch buddy and I decided it was time to visit. I was worried about a long wait for a table, but we were seated right away inside--no trouble there. The cafe is loud. As someone who is neurodivergent, I struggled with how loud it was. I eventually put in my ear plugs to dampen it so I could enjoy the conversation with my friend, and that helped--just fair warning to others who struggle like that. Service was decent. We were offered coffee multiple times and never waited long for anything. The food was fabulous. I had the peach melba French toast special, made from pound cake. It was divine. My friend had the croissant French toast. And we both ordered sides--she the bacon, and I got the home fries. It was all prepared well and tasted great. I really enjoyed my visit overall and would recommend.

Absolutely delicious breakfast: got 2 eggs over easy, turkey sausage, and breakfast potato. Opted for the muffin, pumpkin apple, and our waitress suggested it grilled. Wow, the best muffin I've ever had, truly! We saw some of the other meals being served (like the French toast) and it made me wish I had room for more lol! I will be thinking about the muffin long after I leave Connecticut thanks for the lovely meal and great service!

We dined here yesterday evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had never been and made…read morereservations to sit on the bridge. Pretty area but I was honestly thinking it was going to be more quaint and romantic. It was not. The area is somewhat narrow which makes tables spaced close together and it's really not that private. But the space is nicely decorated and if you sit on the right side (which we did), you're right in front of the waterfall. I would try the dining room next time just to compare. Our server Anthony was professional, kind of and accommodating. We started with cocktails - I had a creative gin drink called Dot Dot Dot. My husband loved his Old Fashioned - he meant to ask what type of bourbon they used because he thought it was very good. With the tasting menu - many of the options apparently change regularly though based off other reviews it appears there may be similar options from time to time. We started with their Johnny Cakes which the waiter said the restaurant is known for. Another reviewer ranked them a 7.5/10 and I couldn't disagree more. They were one of the tastiest bites I've eaten in a while. Crispy, buttery and divine. I thought they were to die for. Served with creamy honey sesame butter which was also delicious. My husband doesn't eat fish so for his amuse bouche he had a little puff served with cheese, that was amazing. For his first course - he had the Ricotta Raviolis. They were as beautiful as they were delicious. My amuse bouche was a tuna tartare that was a perfectly balanced bite. I had the Tapioca custard as my first course. The bacon was a bit too smokey for my taste and overpowered the dish in my opinion. It could have used a bit more liquid but it was a unique few bites. For our mains, my husband's porcini risotto was rich, creamy, and full of earthy flavor. I had the bass with cauliflowerini, golden raisin-caper gremolata, Marcona almonds, and a cauliflower purée--thoughtfully composed and very flavorful. The final savory course was a crispy duck breast with port-poached pear, port reduction, and sweet potato purée, which was beautifully executed. Dessert was a pomegranate pavlova--crisp on the outside with that perfect soft, marshmallowy center. A delightful finish to the meal. Overall, the dishes were not only delicious but also thoughtfully composed and visually striking. It made for a memorable experience, and we're already looking forward to coming back--maybe in a different season to see how the menu evolves.

I had the scallops with risotto which were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Hats off to anyone who can cook a risotto well and they do it perfectly. I started with clam chowder that while could've been a little hotter, was thick and delicious. Other people in the party had eggplant Parmesan, which reportedly was terrific, chicken Parmesan that was cooked beautifully with lots of grilled chicken a lovely marinara that was topped with lots of cheese and spiced. The ancient grain risotto was again fantastic, and anyone who can cook a risotto well deserves kudos. The dessert I had the strawberry shortcake that wasn't too sweet and had a beautiful flavor of fresh strawberries throughout with lots of whipped cream. The Keylime pie was tart and delicious. The Brooklyn layered chocolate cake was tremendous layers of cake and frosting. It was just a perfect rendition of a chocolate cake. Last but not least was the coconut cake which rivals my favorite coconut cake in the world from Max A Mia. The Abigail's version was a bit lighter, but equally as delicious with coconut frosting that really hit the spot and is worth the trip back. The bill came to $317 and with a $60 tip for outstanding service and a wonderful Mother's Day meal

Our server, Chris, produced menus and took drink orders. Although I am a big fan of housemade corned beef hash (and Drago's is exceptional), I was intrigued by one of the numerous specials, "The Pastor" Benny. It consisted of two separate towers of sausage patty on the bottom, then potato pancake, with poached egg and hollandaise sauce on top...and several spices. It was amazing, like a tsunami hitting my taste buds. The potato concoction was perfect, as were the poached eggs. Two of my friends had Granby Oaks, and the 3rd had several ala carte items. All of us were members of the clean plate club. Chris was excellent and efficient, and kept us well-caffeinated. Overall, great food and service, and reasonable prices. One caution...if you come on weekends, probably call in advance to see if they take reservations. They get crowded. 5 pastor benny stars

My wife and I were headed in that general direction on an early Saturday morning and this was the spot I picked. I will say, going in, I knew that breakfast may take some time and that Drago's isn't what I'd call, "diner-quick." That was ok with me because I had time to kill before a loose 9am appointment. It took a bit for us to be acknowledged and seated but I was ok with that. Our waitress was warm and welcoming and though I knew what I was going to order before I even left the house, the specials she rattled off all sounded great. I am obsessed with biscuits and sausage gravy and knew it was on the menu. It's not only on the menu but the staff's shirts all mention the biscuit. DAMN that is a good biscuit. It's a HUGE cheddar and chive biscuit (big enough for a sandwich). Paired with the sausage gravy and my perfect over-medium eggs it was a wonderful meal. My wife had the French Dip benny which she liked but would not order again. She felt the roast beef was a little tough. Hers came with a "loaded potato cake" which was insanely delicious. It's about the size of a crab cake, made with shredded potatoes and was so, so good. Of note-reasonable prices, many vegan, vegetarian and GF options (including vegan meats and cheese). The lunch menu looks really tasty too. I will be back (and I will get both a biscuit and a loaded potato cake to go, in addition to another great meal).

First off, it's definitely one of those small, tucked-away spots you could easily miss if you didn't know it was there, but once you walk in, the decor is so cute. Think cozy, shabby chic vibes that make it feel warm and welcoming right away. The standout for me? The dinner roll. Honestly, one of the best I've ever had. It was dense, rich, and satisfying, not your typical light, airy Kaiser roll. It reminded me more of a Jamaican hard dough bread in texture and weight, which I personally loved. Super flavorful and filling. I was also really happy about their buy three, get one free promotion. It made it easy to try a few different things without feeling like I was overdoing it. As for the pastries, I tried the cinnamon roll and carrot cake. I didn't finish either, but the carrot cake definitely gave true homemade vibes. It had coconut mixed in, wasn't overly sweet, and felt more traditional than indulgent. If you like a less sugary, more classic-style carrot cake, you'll probably appreciate it. Overall, this bakery is worth a stop, especially if you're exploring the pastry trail. Not everything wowed me, but there were definitely some highlights that made it a good visit.
