I contacted Poopy Do regarding service in July 2022. Service started either end of July or beginning of August. For at least the first month I can say they were coming out as scheduled, as I checked my dog run regularly. However, in November, my housemate notified me that it looked like the dog run area had not been cleaned recently. I went out to take a look, and it did appear to me that there was more waste than would accumulate from my one Chihuahua in a week. I cleaned up a bit and decided to give it a couple of weeks; with holidays I thought perhaps services might have gotten delayed. However, by mid-December, it still appeared that I was not receiving service. I emailed the company at the email address listed on their site on December 17. I did not receive a response. 2 weeks later I checked and the dog run was still filthy. I tried to call them and no matter the time of day, I just get asked to leave a voice mail (I believe the mailbox was full) or "sent to a representative" and then disconnected from the call. I emailed again on December 26, asking for a refund for 3-4 weeks' worth of service fees, a confirmation of cancellation of service, and a confirmation that no further funds would be withdraw. I did not receive a reply, and charges continued to my card. At this point, I wrote my initial Yelp review and filed a complaint with the BBB. The BBB closed the complaint, stating they never received a response from the company. One of these two finally triggered a response from them, however. Please note that items in quotes below are taken directly from the email communications I received from their public email address, info@poopydoo.com: The header of the email read "Official Notification to Cease Desist & Remove All Social Media Reviews Posts & Complaints per Libel Slander Defamation Harassment & Extortion Agreement Terms" They claimed that the photos that I provided to the BBB were fraudulent and were "from many months ago." The two photos that I sent with my complaint are still on my phone, and were dated in November (when I was first alerted to the problem) and December 2022. They demanded that I remove all negative complaints by 9pm that day (January 12), and (not or, but AND) agreed to an "upfront $350 Admin Processing Fee". A refusal or failure to do so would be considered "agreement to FULL Financial responsibility, including...an upfront $350 Legal Processing Fee plus a $25 Daily Verification Service Fee until it [the reviews] is removed. They stated that any disputes or chargebacks initiated with my bank or the card processing center would result in a "$50 Credit Card Dispute Processing Fee". Lastly, they stated that a failure to do so would be sent to their attorney and that "any unpaid fees plus interest will be added as an additional lien on any and all properties, vehicles, boats, etc. (owned, rented, leased, etc.) as well as will be reported to all three credit bureaus (Equifax, Transunion and Equifax) and released to our Collection Agencies for collection as current and/or new addresses are transferable." I replied to this message. I offered my opinion on the company's statements, and reiterated that they confirm cancellation of my account and that no further funds would be withdrawn from my card. The following day, after "speaking with counsel", they claimed that what I was doing was "extortion and unlawful", but that were advised to make a one time settlement offer. The terms of that offer were: "1. Immediately Remove All Reviews Posts published on any medium and platform 2. Withdraw in its entirety your BBB Complaint and any other complaint(s) thereof 3. All has been resolved satisfactorily and that no further action of any type is needed or will be taken (including by not limited to social media and so on) 4. Send Email verifying all has been done 5. Amicably both go our separate way agreeing not to bad mouth each other in any form" This was sent to me on Friday, January 13, and received around 2:38 PM MST. They requested that I reply to this by 5:00 PM the same day. Given that this could, according to their own statements, result in a potential lawsuit with me as defendant, I responded and let them know that I would review the offer, and that I would not be able to respond before the requested deadline as I also wanted the offer reviewed by legal counsel. That occurred today. Based on advice from my phone consultation with an attorney, I will not be accepting the offer. Nor will I be removing my review, as I believe wholly that what I have laid out here is truthful to the best of my knowledge, and a large portion of it simply restates the company's own communications to me. The HOA asked me as a board member to remove my previous review...... which I have done. I now offer a new review as a individual. Not representing any entity. Mr Poopy Doo was paid to install a station at our area over a year ago.... which they never did..... despite numerous contacts to request that they fulfill their service. After posting my review as a board member, the owner at first apologized citing the hospitalization of his service manager. After that it was all legal threats, making numerous calls and emails prompting the Property manager to ask that I pull it down. I sent the correspondence to my personal attorney who opined that these threats are without merit. I believe in being honest. The public deserves to know what kind of service this is. POOPY!!! (in my personal opinion). By him bullying and intimidating others to remove their reviews, (that i can see by other reviewers comments on this site) the public gets a skewed view of the true rating of this service. I have gone back over my bank statements for the past 3 months and can account for almost $300 worth of charges for services I did not receive. So my tenants moved out and we found that they likely hadn't cleaned up after their dog for easily a month. I live out of town so immediately googled dog poop services. Not going to lie, at first I was drawn to the name. I mean PoopyDoo is just a really fun name. I soon learned that they are also a fun company that is awesome at customer service. The guy who answered the phone (I think his name was Scott) was excellent. He was friendly, professional, explained my options and their prices were reasonable. I lucked out as they had a cancellation and were able to get me in later that day. Carl went to the house, took care of all the "business", sent me a pic and confirmed we were "all scooped". He also advised me that there was an issue with a leaking landscaping valve, which could have been a big issue if left unchecked, and sent pics of that as well. Can't thank him enough for doing that! When I first found out about this service, I was totally excited. Newly pregnant at the time, I couldn't handle being anywhere near the backyard, so the deodorizing deal sealed it for me. Not having to wrestle my husband into cleaning up the backyard in 110+ degree heat also helped. ;) I signed up, and for the first month, AMAZING. I told everyone I knew about the service. Then the tech started skipping visits. I thought I was getting paranoid, that maybe I just thought more time had passed than actually had (since we only signed up for the twice a month service), but then it kept happening. Whenever I called to find out what was going on, I got the answering service, and never got a call back when I left voicemails. I tried emailing, and that's when the owner got involved, basically calling me a liar, that he did my yard himself (hooray?), and had never missed. This past month, absolutely no one came out. The backyard got so bad (and we only have ONE dog), my husband finally broke down and did it himself because we couldn't stand it anymore, and you'll never guess who finally showed up an hour later after it was done.... Yep. Poopy Do tech. He just walked around my yard, shrugged when he couldn't find anything, and just left. IMPORTANT: If you read the FAQ page, them just showing up and doing nothing? Yep. I still have to pay for that. For my husband doing the other guy's job. Awesome... I emailed this morning to cancel, and the guy I had been talking to immediately forwarded my message onto the owner AGAIN, and I then received the worst email yet. He emailed me and said that I had never called, they had "NO" records of any voicemail or emails (except I have every single one saved in my inbox), and that now that I had "ALL" the facts, maybe I should reconsider my decision. Written exactly like above, CAPS and everything. Why the heck would I stay on with a company with people who talk that way to their customers?? I make sure to always be polite to anyone I speak to. Working in the service industry SUCKS, and I have no interest in adding onto the crap these people have to deal with on a daily basis. I have no idea why he felt the need to light into me the way he did when I kept everything pleasant. We moved to Gilbert a year ago leaving behind a great poo company, I figured it would be hard to find a NEW wonderful service! But low and behold we found Poopy Do and they have been perfect for our family! My poopy cleaner comes weekly, always on the same day and loves my Lab. I recently had a relative move in with us and she has a Blue Nose Pit Bull, which I figured he would be hesitant cleaning around. Turns out they have become great friends! When the Pit Bull had a litter of 13 puppies he did everything in his power to get all of the poo (there was A LOT) including sanitizing to prevent spread of disease... Did I mention that the pit still loves him! LOL Some times I catch him in the back yard playing fetch with the adult dog, this makes my day! The owner of Poopy Do is helping us find great homes for our new puppies, free of charge because he loves Pit Bulls and believes they all need love. We paid Poopy Do to come every week and clean our dog run area. Sounded like a great idea until they simply started skipping weeks and charging for them anyway. The idea of the service is great and if they actually come when they say they will, they do a good job. They will refund your money but only if you initiate a call and request it. And, of course, in the end we wanted the service not a refund. Based on our experience of spotty service, I would not recommend Poopy Do. We are trying another service now and hoping for a better outcome. read more

Started out great, very convenient and I liked that I could do everything online. After a couple months my husbands noticed he hasn't seen our guy as often. I emailed and got a response right away and they serviced the next day or so after, I decided to pay for the text service just to be sure that I know I am getting my money's worth but those stopped coming as well so my hubby ended up cleaning the yard regularly which is fine because it's nice weather and it saves us money. I have two dogs, one of which is very large and a little intimidating, they never questioned that they could handle the job. They have followed us to two different homes over the years and have taken such great care of us. Our yard has difficult to access places with extensive small gravel that interfere with our ability to clean the yard completely from dog droppings. Carl did not disappoint and he even endured a hot July afternoon to completely clean our yard. He event took the trash with him so it didn't stay in our garbage. My girlfriend and I have been using poopy do for the last couple months. We have service for 3 dogs with text ahead notifications on a weekly bases which adds up to 15.99 a week. Haven't had any major problems with them. They have missed a couple piles, maybe twice in 2 months but nothing serious. Haven't had a tech skip out on a week. The text ahead notificationS always let us know 10-20 minutes out. A great service in the summer if the heat bothers you or you just cant stand dog poop but it does add up at the end of the month. WOW! I can not thank Carl (Owner and Founder) and the Poopy Do staff, including Matt, for their effort and great service! I was referred by my friend Justine who works full time and has two German Shepards to these guys......We were on vacation for a few weeks and my husband travels often for work. I work away from home full time and with two dogs, it can be tough to take care of their crap. I was a little embarrassed to reach out at first, knowing how much poop was covering the rock-filled backyard.
