Todd handled both the design and construction on this pool, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.

Recently we had a pool pump failure, which can cause a world of water quality issues in this Texas heat. Round Rock Pool Pros responded rapidly, and turned our situation around to a good ending. HARD PASS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!…read more Moved to a new house and shopping for pool service. Submitted an online request on their website Wednesday around 9 AM. Out of the 5 companies I submitted a request to, they were the 2nd ones I reached out to but the last ones to reach out back to me (excluding the auto-generated "thank you" text which the other pool companies sent as well). Lisa from the office called me Wednesday at 5:38 PM and said she could have a tech come out the next day to give me a quote. Jose came out Thursday around noon. He was super nice and professional. He said he would get me 3 different quotes for the 3 type of packages they offer by the end of the day or the next day (Friday) in the morning at the latest. By Friday at 4:25 PM, I had yet to receive anything so I called and spoke to Lisa and she said they'll send it over shortly. They sent 2 quotes (not 3) at 4:40 PM. Monday morning at 10 AM, I called to discuss the quotes for further clarification, especially since the links weren't working. Lisa said she's going to call Jose and call me right back. She never did. Tuesday morning at 8:28 AM, almost a week after I had initially reached out, I called saying they never called me back and asked to speak to a manager. She put me on the phone with Jose and he was a totally different person than the guy that came out to the house. He kept interrupting me and talking over me. He was rude saying I didn't know anything about pools (that might be true but this is not my first house with a pool and that's not something you'd say to a prospective client), and making excuses for their lack of responsiveness. If they're this bad when they're trying to earn my business, I can't imagine how bad they are once they do earn it. Reading some of their other reviews, I should've just never reached out to begin with. TLDR: Unresponsive, unprofessional/rude, overpromise/underdeliver. Ended up going with a different pool company that responded right away and was able to get me on the schedule immediately.

We shopped around to…read moredo due diligence, and not only were the prices better across the board at Big Star, but the sales guy we worked with (Chad) was WAY more knowledgeable. Turns out this is a family business, which makes sense why Chad knew the Jacuzzi system backwards and forwards. Probably been hearing about hot tubs since he was a kid. Also, he had just the right touch. He knew the products were quality, so he didn't pressure us or upsell. He let the products do the talking. He earned our trust and delivered on it 100%, including being responsive over text as I got the whole thing installed and set up. Service that really went above and beyond. The only thing I would add to the Big Star business model: a subscription plan to get the chemicals delivered automatically. Would love to set it and forget it, with my money going to a locally-owned, family-run business instead of Amazon. Support small businesses!

*BUYER BEWARE* THEY SELL YOU A TUB BUT DO NOT SERVICE IT COMPETENTLY…read more I spent approximately $13,000 on a Wellis hot tub from Big Star Backyards. About 3 1/2 years later (still under warranty), it developed what was initially a relatively minor leak. That was the beginning of what has now become a six-month ordeal. Since February, I've endured multiple paid service visits, repeated repair attempts, months of downtime, and countless emails and phone calls coordinating repairs with both Big Star Backyards and Wellis. Despite all of that, the leak has progressively worsened rather than improved. The most frustrating part is that what began as a slow leak has now become a spa that can lose nearly all of its water within approximately 24 hours after being refilled. Throughout this process, I've done everything asked of me. I've coordinated appointments, rearranged travel, filled the spa when requested, taken videos documenting the leaks for the technician, and remained patient while waiting weeks for parts to arrive. Unfortunately, despite all of those efforts, I still do not have a functioning hot tub. Rather than taking ownership of why repeated repairs have failed, the conversation has increasingly shifted toward my water chemistry--even though the spa is still under warranty, the water was balanced immediately after repairs, there were no guests using the spa, and it leaked nearly empty immediately after being refilled. That explanation simply does not align with what actually occurred.

Before choosing Kingz Pools, I reached out to several other contractors but either never got a call back, they didn't show up, or their bids were not reasonable. Kingz Pools provided a fair estimate, stuck to the agreed timeline, and delivered exactly as promised. If you're considering a pool remodel, I highly recommend giving Kingz Pools a call. In my opinion one of the most unprofessional companies I ever dealt with…read more I called them a few weeks ago to do some modifications in my pool equipment. They sent a professional to my house and later gave me a quote. I accepted the quote and after that.... Radio Silence. After a few days I called them and they said they would send someone that Thursday. Well...No one showed up. I call again, and this time, it's rescheduled to Friday. Friday comes, a guy shows up almost at 5PM. I could imediately see he was not prepared to work on what was agreed on the quote. And sure enough....He has no idea what needs to be done, never been briefed on what is needed and after looking at my pool hardware, of course, tells me he has no equipment needed to work on my pool. Reschedules for next Tuesday, which is today. Yep... You guessed it..... No one showed up again. No calls, no texts, crickets... Don't bother because I don't want to work with you anymore. I'll find another company. I'm done. Thankfully haven't spent any money on this company, but my wasted time, I will never get back, sadly. Stay away, that's my advice.

I've been a customer for couple years with their pool cleaning service side - thus I decided to use them for my pool equipment needs... sloppy work - untimely delivery - and show up times are at their discretion and not consistent I've never been so disappointed and frustrated over service and installation matters I purchased three (3) pieces of equipment: New filtration system, New Variable speed pump and New salt cell system - this is a lot of money spent, on top of that is installation pricing, averages $500 per piece = total of $1500 - ridiculous you would think with my purchase of all new equipment that my installation needs would have been a source of focus and client satisfaction The installation of the salt cell system has been a bad experience- the pics don't lie The tech spilt blue pvc glue on my concrete equipment pad - left and didn't clean it up The business hours are 9am - 4pm Mon - Friday- good luck with having any issues addressed before or after these times, even if it's at the fault of company's employees I communicated my dissatisfaction via phone and texts - Consumer beware UPDATE- after several years I have chosen to severe services for pool cleaning, equipment maintenance and potential new purchases with this company. Customer satisfaction matters and is always key, thus Customer retention. Albeit the job is done now, to get there should not have required so much negative energy and frustration. It's not worth it UPDATE - I see Seon the owner responded, Bent over backwards? This time? Hey - for a client to leave overall, you think your viewpoint is true? You have a negative loss of $3600 annual +|- pool cleaning services - present/future income, plus future pool equipment/install fees - I suspect this won't happen again and that's a good thing. Too bad this learning experience for your business was at my expense and frustration Maybe you should have called me? Yes - you should have called me - texting while "preferred" is a form of communication that sucks, talking with a client lends clarity as to matters - PS - don't charge for a job not fully done and when no verbal or written authorization is granted
