TLDR: DO NOT USE Caribbean Blue Pools for ANY sort of pool renovations.  The quality of work and…read moreprofessionalism is obsolete.  I had a 30k+ pool renovation that they made a nightmare, details below.  I could not regret more, choosing them to do my renovations.  There is no upside to using Caribbean Blue Pools, I urge anyone considering pool renovations to skip them.  They do not care about you as a customer and will take advantage. **Update** The leak that Ken "fixed" did not hold and I will have to rerip up my finished pool for the 3rd time.  Ken failed to property renovate the pool and pressure test the lines before starting the renovation (which is the industry standard for a non working pool).  I messaged him to work through this and he did not respond.  I had an outdated and not working pool in the house I recently moved into.  I know nothing about pools and reached out to Ken to do a full remodel (tile, plaster, lights, equipment, etc) everything to get a pool up and running.  Ken reassured me that he had 20 years of experience and that they were fully competent to get my pool up and running. I cut a check for 10k and they got going.  He installed the equipment and contracted the tile and plastering out to another company.  When they finished and went to fill the pool, all the problems started.  The pool would not hold water and my yard started flooding.   Ken requested the reaming 20k for a "job well done".  I let him know that my pool was not working and I was not comfortable paying the full amount.  He lost it on me and told me that he has done his job and demands to be paid in full.  I paid for the work and proceeded to watch my BRAND NEW pool drain and flood my backyard.  I had to hire a third party leak detector that informed me a have a pool leak under my brand new pool deck.  I reached out to Ken multiple times and he told me "This isn't my problem your pool never worked when we started on it". I called him to talk through the situation and knowing nothing about pools, felt extremely helpless.  He LITERALLY laughed at me (I have this recorded) saying this is why I have my contract about testing for leaks before we start our work (Ha,ha,ha).  You have 20 years experience Ken, if you're so proud of it, use it to inform your clients of work that needed to be done! He admitted knowing that there was an issue with the hot tub holding water but failed to rely the importance of this to me before starting.  He also did not pressure test the lines before starting the work.  This cost me having just completed my full renovation (deck included) to have the brand new deck ripped up along with the brand new tile of the hot tub. The issues only furthered from there.  The leak detector informed me that the equipment that Ken with 20+ years of pool experience installed, was done incorrectly.  (Video here: https://youtu.be/4rjEOiIEPjE)  He did not ground my pool equipment and even left the equipment unbolted to the concrete slab which would have broke my pipes.  Leaving pool equipment unbonded is illegal.  Ken just did not want to do the work, due to the ground wire being harder to find.  I would NEVER have known that my equipment wasn't even properly installed unless I had been told (Ken knew this and never mentioned it to me!). The leak detector had a tough time locating the leak and Ken demanded that he speak to the leak detector.  Ken suggested digging into the floor of the brand new hot tub to look for the leak.  Unfortunately, this wasnt were the leak was and Ken's suggestion ended up costing me an additional $400, which he charged me to fix!  Thank you! He then wrote up a quote to fix a new targeted leak of the pool.  This was finally finished and supposedly I have a working pool.  Shockingly, the pool is still not holding water and I have the leak detector come back out.  I come to find that I also have a bad drain, plug and multiport valve that need to be replaced for another $500.  This should have been caught during the entire equipment revamp.  Ken also charged me an additional $1,500 to fix a leak that he suspected was there before starting the work.  I am also still waiting and will have to pay to have my brand new deck fixed due to this company's negligence. Do not trust them with large jobs.  If you want someone to just dump chemicals in your pool and collect your money, feel free but leave the large work for another company.

He finally got it looking decent but not great. When I got his first bill it was not what he quoted me and when I questioned him he was rude again. not a nice or helpful person. I have used other pool companies and they were fine. This guy I would not recommend to anyone. Update 10/27/2013 As you can see by his reply just like his emails to me his demeanor and lack of professionalism continues to shine through. We used the same pool company for 4+ years they were fine got real big and customer service started to lag. We hired another pool company and they did a great job but their prices were not doable for us then he came along. His work was poor and professionalism lacking. I kept the nasty emails he wrote and have submitted our complaint to the BBB. We have a pool company now that we are thrilled with. We also found out from our neighbors he was bad mouthing other customers who had fired him as well. Of course they did not proceed with Aquatique. Robert Aguilar, Vice President and Co-Owner of Texas Hot Tubs directed his A Team from the front lines and they never missed a beat. I purchased a hot tub for cash over Thanksgiving 2022 and it was delivered promptly, however, the team who delivered it, didn't speak much English and when I had questions, they mocked me and acted, or actually didn't know what I was asking. I had to call their supervisor in order to get the message to them (as they stood waiting in the yard). They dropped it off, installed the electric required to run the hot tub (that part was smooth - not cheap). I was given a starter chemical kit, but no one knew what I was suppose to do with it. They told me to call the office. It took almost a WEEK for someone to just let me know how to add proper chemicals. I still don't understand how to treat the pool with chemicals because the sales office manager (Philipe) was terrible with post-sales/service. Eventually, he was fired or quit - probably a good move. He was awful to work with (post-purchase - decent salesman but horrible follow up and service). Our hot tub purchase was a happy occasion so I continued to TRY and remain positive. After the first month or so, the control panel went out and, at the time, the Austin location had NO SERVICE available, so they had to have someone from Dallas come (Eddie - he was great). It took a few efforts just to get on the calendar, but it finally happened and Eddie, once he arrived, was very fast and efficient to repair. About another couple months (still within 5 months of purchase), the waterfall broke. I had to, again, require service. I reached out.... it took a week for someone to call me back, I had to speak with multiple people, and after all that, and a few no-shows it took 3 weeks for someone to come out. In their defense, there was some bad weather, and their one and ONLY service truck broke down. After calling about 5 times, having service persons no-show or cancel on me, we finally got a call from Daniel. Daniel is why this rating is not a 1 star. He was great!! He was polite, he knew exactly what he was doing, and what he was talking about. He was apologetic and understanding about my situation and, pretty much, saved the company's reputation as far as I'm concerned. Thank you, Daniel!!!

Hot tub stopped working mid-September so I called A-Tex for what I knew would be an out of warranty repair. Joseph responded to my inquiry and came to my home and verified my motor was dead on arrival and I would need to have a new one installed. I agreed and asked him to proceed, order the new motor and schedule the repair. Joseph stated to me the cost would be near $700.00. I again told him to proceed. He told me he'd call me later in the day to get the repair set up. SPRING FORWARD one whole week, not having heard back from Joseph, I sent him a text message and left him a voice mail...Never responded. SPRING FORWARD one more week. I called Joseph and asked him for a status of my repair. He told me another person needed to place the order and it would be two more days before we could "settle up" and get the motor ordered and he would call me back. SPRING FORWARD one more week. No return calls from Joseph SPRING FORWARD one more week (for a total of 4) I called Joseph and asked him for a status of my motor order and repair. Joseph's response was "Oh, "Danny is back in the office now and we can get the motor ordered". After learning that 4 weeks in the Service Team A-Tex had not moved the needle, I declined and let him know I would have someone else fix it. Upon hanging up with Joseph, I called the main number and spoke to a girl who told me the Service department at A-Tex "Sorta does their own thing, and she doesn't have any input with them." This is a sad but true story of how A-Tex treated me after the sale. I was lucky enough to find a local independent repair person who completed the job including ordering a motor and installation in 4 days. $200.00 cheaper than A-Tex quoted and some 26 days better than A-Tex. This may not dissuade anyone from buying from A-Tex, but maybe potential buyers may want to inquire about service after the sale. There are capable, independent and fair repair people available. Please research your BEST options when choosing a product that will eventually require service.

The repair technician, Joe, did a great job. He installed a new timer mechanism as I had…read morerequested, and he took some extra time and effort to stop 3 water leaks sound my pool pumps and sand filter. One of the tiny leaks almost required Sherlock Holmes to discover and to stop that leak, but Joe did it. My pool water level had been dropping slowly but after these leaks were eliminated it is not dropping. If Joe had not done this extra effort I probably would have gone to the time and expense hiring a leak detection company. Joe was also friendly and polite and took a short time to explain how a connection could get cross threaded to where it was barely noticeable.
