I called Rob at Pure Water Pool & Spa based entirely on reviews in Yelp and I am glad I did. After asking a few questions, he told me what he thought could be going on and gave me a quote to come and check it out. Rob came out on time, was professional and his initial diagnosis was correct: the breaker was being tripped by a additional motor used for increased blowing pressure. The motor had seized up. I had mentioned we do not often use the extra motor, so Rob simply disconnected it. He did not push me into replacing the motor and did not even discuss it until I asked for a quote. Rob was very low key. He did the job he came out to do efficiently with no additional charges or salesmanship. He was done in less than 30 minutes. Without question I would hire Rob again should I need another repair (he and his wife Laura are the owners of Pure Water Pool & Spa and are the individuals doing the repairs) and without question I recommend his services to those reading my review.

This company is dishonest and rude and I feel I should warn anyone who is considering using them…read more We were quoted $190 per month and have paid an average of $528 per month ($3170 for 6 months). They auto charged whatever they wanted on our card. 6 months ago we hired Simpson Pool after they came out to the house house, looked at our pool and quoted us $190 per month for weekly cleaning. Our first bill was $263. No warning about the price hike! We asked why the invoice was higher than the quote and they said "it's taking longer than we thought". Then they tell me if I want to get the price down to what I was quoted, we can buy a pool vacuum from them since ours "wasn't working." We agreed, weren't given any options for the vacuum and received a charge of nearly $600. Our bill never went down. When I asked they were super aggressive and rude in their emails, telling me I am wrong, telling me to "look at my invoice again because they are charging $255, not $263 (completely false and irrelevant)." The rude and dishonest interactions with this company and their auto charging whatever they decide deserves this review so hopefully no one else will experience this. To top it all off, after I put my foot down and didn't respond to another $577 charge for equipment (because ours is only 2yrs old) .. they sent me a generic email saying "we are no longer servicing your pool because we are condensing our routes." What a blessing that its over now and our new guy is great and charges $160 per month. Run as fast as you can from this company!

Unfortunately our last provider sent a newer tech for a couple of weeks who may not have had proper training and caused a few continuous issues with our pump/pool. After 2-3 weeks of water problems (cloudy and algae), there wasn't much done by the company I had. In an effort to resolve the issues and avoid any major problems, I decided to reach out to a new company. I just googled and called the first one. I spoke with Marco who was eager to help me figure out what I could do while I get a new tech in. He asked me several questions and had me check our pump, telling me exactly what to do. Within 10 minutes, he explained what the problem was and what next steps I needed to take. Unfortunately for me, this company is out of my service area, but even after knowing my location, Marco still took time to help me, answer all my questions, and explain what I could do. Anyone looking for a service company in San Diego should really consider these guys.

Three other "pool guys" said I needed to contact SDG&E to have my pool heater turned on after they couldn't figure it out. Communication is HUGE me. 3. I'm a navy veteran who has issues with random people showing up at my house and randomly walking in my back yard. I asked for them to call me 30-45 minutes before they're going to arrive to service the pool - and in 3 month of weekly visits, they've called every time! This may not sound like a big deal but I've gone weeks waiting for contractors to communicate with me and they don't. So, I truly appreciate how these guys go out of their way to make sure we're taken care of. I highly recommend Pool Logic for service, repairs and new equipment installation.

Unfortunately I received more of the bear minimum service. Plus the customer service you receive will be subpar! They have huge communication issues within the company as well as with their clients. We signed up with them in February 2024 when they were Cabana Pools and explained the time frame we needed. They were able to accommodate us and we became customers. Kyle was very helpful. However, sometimes they would come late or not at all and wouldn't notify us while Cabana Pools, once they became Pool Logic they never contacted us and when I contacted about service I was greeted with rude responses. Another issue we had was they would sometimes leave our gate open or unlocked if closed. Our most recent issue was the inconsistency with service and when I called to ask where our technician was I was greeted with someone else is covering and when I asked about an ETA, I was given there is no ETA. When I responded with ok however I am unhappy. It was escalated and I was given an ETA. The manager then contacted me and I missed the call. when I tried to call right back it said this number isn't receiving calls at this time . I tried calling again and a woman answered laughing. She then continued to giggle while I was responding. Very irritating and unprofessional. I spoke with the manager and he was very nice. He had explained that there was some confusion with the notes on the account, yet lack of communication within the company, and someone put notes on our account that were inaccurate. The manager was apologetic but did try to make excuses which upset me more. I did let him know we would likely be canceling service soon, and he understood. Unfortunately I hadn't canceled before they charged us, which is the 1st of the month, even if the 1st is a Sunday, which was 5 days before our next service. I immediately contacted them ask about canceling service and if I was able to receive a refund. I received confirmation the next day that they were canceling our service and a request to billing for a refund to be issued was sent. 24 hours later someone from billing, by the name Averie, said they would be sending me a check, not refunding my account. I immediately responded and explained that this wasn't ok as we have issues receiving our mail and they took the payment directly out of our account. She responded 23 hours later explaining that Quikbooks doesn't allow refunds to bank accounts. I then immediately called the office and asked for the Averie, I was told she wasn't in the office. When I asked for a manager I was asked why and I explained she just messaged me 2 minutes ago so she is in the office. I was then put on hold and she became available. Averie got on the call and proceeded to give information that was contradictory and when I asked for it to be escalated I was told that no one was there as the owner was the only escalation and he is currently out on Paternity leave and no one is taking over of him currently, so she would forward the info to him but could not guarantee any follow up soon. Very unprofessional!! I really liked the company when it was Cabana Pools. Not sure if the company expanded or merged, but since becoming Pool Logic it is the worst!
