PRO TIP: The PROBLEM is that Don is really unprofessional. He really really REALLY hates being asked a question about a solution he proposes to a problem. His response usually is, "I've been doing this for 20 years, I don't have time to explain myself, I can get new customers in 20 minutes". PRO TIP: Don't have him drain your pool. He requires that you monitor the pump as it is draining the pool even though you are paying him to take care of everything. If you don't mind monitoring the progress of the pool being drained, ask for a discount since you are doing his job. Also, best not to have the pool drained when you aren't able to monitor. PRO TIP: Don likes to throw the pool debris literally anywhere but a trashcan. Make sure you are very clear with him what your expectations are otherwise he dumps the leaves in your yard right next to the pool or on your driveway or the street in front of your house. PRO TIP: Don likes to repair parts without providing a quote, then he just serves the cost to you in an invoice. Make sure you are clear with him about how and when he can repair or replace parts. PRO TIP: If you are fine working with a decent pool tech who thinks he is Gods gift to pool service and is straight up one of the most curmudgeonly men you will ever encounter, look no further, Don is your guy. There is nothing wrong with his pricing or his maintenance (except his inability to use a trash can). He or is wife will show up, work their magic, and leave within 5 minutes and your pool will be crystal clear. If you blink you will miss them. HOWEVER, anything beyond the basics and Don can get a bit temperamental. I have a 2 year old son, sometimes my son is easier to rationalize with then with Don.

He provided invaluable education and insights about my pool that no other company had ever shared with me. His recommendations were thoughtful, detailed, and unique, going far beyond the standard service I've received from others in the past. On top of that, he got my pump keypad working properly again--a huge relief! Dan worked tirelessly, replacing the entire pool sand filter assembly, the pool light, skimmer weir (flapper), one flow valve, multiple valve O-rings, and even the bottom drain anti-entrapment cover. Others tackled a rebar and plaster repair around the steps, performed a full acid wash of the pool, glass blasted the decorative perimeter tile to remove a stubborn layer of mineral buildup that had been covering the tiles, and did a cement repair within the skimmer.
