Not only did the analysis fail to pick the right chemicals to make it proper, the explanation of the procedure was a joke. I would recommend to everyone to go somewhere else. I have been going to the same Leslie's pool supply next to Basha's at Chandler Heights and Gilbert roads in Chandler AZ for 5 years. I used to have wonderful experiences there and in fact I cancelled my pool service as they said I could test my pool water there every week if needed. I also bought all of my pool supplies there. However, a new General Manager popped up at the store and he has been incredibly rude to me on every visit the last several months. Today he actually raised his voice at me for not clearing up my phosphates, when he walked up, he said "are you here for the free pool water test" or are you going to buy something today. I often buy my chemicals there and he continued to be condescending to me right in front of another employee, and I could tell he made her feel uncomfortable. I told him I will never return to Leslie's as he has constantly been rude toward me every time I came in. He had the nerve to tell me when I calm down, I can come back. NOT A CHANCE!!! Sun Devil pool supply is right around the corner, and my business will be there now. I have a hard time believing a company as large and professional as Leslie's would employee such a rude individual. read more

Mike R and whoever else was there early 8/20/23 are some of the worst employees I've had to deal with. Unhelpful, rude, entitled, can't be bothered to help attitude. I brought in water testing after paying $140 two weeks ago and they told me to buy pounds more of chemicals. I had used Leslie's for years, and yet some prices were too high for me and I explored other Pool Stores for Chemicals, Shock, etc. But I needed a new Pool Pump and Leslie's did the replacement repair for same price as the other shops. They listened to me as I described what I needed (Unlike B&B pool store) and the entire process went smoothly. Nicola the Assistant Manager was the one that got me started in the process..she was great! Then another day I spoke with Mike the Manager and then Jack the tech came to do the work..ALL WERE GREAT. I"m sure in the past some of their staff wasn't up to par, but these three do great, even when its overly busy in the store! read more

I went here this last Friday June 9th simply to buy some chlorine tabs for the pool and to get two floats blown up just the regular donut size one and be mindful I was the only customer in the store besides my sister and Mike the store employee in store told me and my sister he could not help up because he was very busy with customers he said if we returned Sunday he would have time to help up I asked him what other customers since again it was only myself and my sister and he said just in case any one came in the store and be told me that bis machine was very slow and he was tired and overwhelmed, basically found every excuse in the world not to help us Black folks with something so small! Worst experience with a store ever, it's April 27at 9:26 now and we have been standing around for over 10min just trying to buy shock. The manager is fixing a cleaner while making us wait for a purchase. To make someone wait for fixing a cleaner while making us wait is crazy bad customer service. I will be calling corporate today. I legit hate this store...not good at customer service. Today I stopped in for a quick purchase - acid + stabilizer. Only employee as in the back, with a customer. Based on past experience, I knew this was bad. If the employee is with a customer, they will spend unlimited amount of time answering questions. Awesome customer service if you're the lucky customer. Not so awesome for everyone waiting. I left after 20 mins, without any acknowledgment or help (didn't need any, just wanted to spend some $$) or purchase. I should have known better - if you go in on a weekend and there's only 1 employee and they're talking to another customer, within about 3 mins you can tell if they have the slightest idea of how to multitask or service more than 1 customer. It would be very helpful if Leslie's would install web-enabled cameras inside store so I would know, in advance, whether I'm likely to be able to purchase anything or not! What to say? Changed out my pool water; drain and refill. Took new water in to be tested. Walked out with $160.00 worth of chems. Began the testing adding process. By my calculations they sold me 90.00 worth of chems I do not need. Sigh. They do not take back chems. Buyer beware. read more

We have been using Leslies pool services for 11 years. We have them test our water samples, and their prices on parts, and supplies are very reasonable. I love this Leslies! I used to go to the one in Ahwatukee foothills and the one in Tempe but never had great experiences. I had been going to barefoot pools for a while, but they don't have the inventory. I have to say store manager Aubree is a pool care guru and she's saved me countless time and money with her knowledge. I highly recommend this Leslies, it's worth making the trip to this one over any other within 100 miles. read more

I was surprised to see an average rating so low for this Leslie's location. These guys have been my go-to guys for pool matters for the past nine years. This weekend, I wanted to issue a shout out to Art. He went far beyond the call to help me figure out how to get my inop pool pump working again. He walked me through the issues and options. He then patiently helped me figure out how to replace the pump myself...and then walked me through the steps I'd missed when things didn't immediately work right. knowledge of the people in this store is hit or miss... I stopped in because my pool motor is making a racket. I had a picture of the label, showed them it's a 3/4 hp motor. it either needs a rebuild or replacement they don't do rebuilds, so I ask for a price on a replacement. the guy brings out a 2 hp motor... and quotes me something like $450. he was pretty clueless, asking me what type of motor I wanted. umm... I showed you what I've got, why wouldn't you be able to tell me what I need to replace it? I sure don't need a 2hp motor to replace a 3/4 hp. I know two-speed motors can be used in place of my single-speed and they're more efficient, so I ask him about that. Went in there 2 weeks ago and did everything they said to do and it's still not clear. I stopped into Leslie's today with a very messy request. A lizard got wrapped up in my pool vacuum. I was not able to get it out and I knew it would have to be disassembled. The Manager of the Store (Calvin) was so nice! He got it all cleaned out and unjammed my vacuum at no charge. Worst pool service technicians and parts. First off I never like to write bad reviews but let me tell you Leslie's deserves a big FAT "Zero" for there customer service and pool parts. Let me start off by saying the pool tech "Mike" didn't know what the hell he was doing and cursed the whole time he was fixing my pool filter manifold. Then he could not for some reason figure out the my pool pump at a switch that needed to be turned on or it wouldn't work. Ode that a pool tech needs to be told how to turn a switch on.....then he replaced my pool filter manifold with an old part that was also cracked. I payed $150 for a used broken part that I now have to repurchase and again to mention the labor. No I understand Leslie's is a big pool company and hires 3rd party tech's to complete there pool services however, they empoyleed the wrong "A-hole" for this job, I am sure he pocketed the money and bought a used part. In total I payed $350 to Leslie's for nothing. They are a bullshit company with bullshit service and bullshit parts. For being a million dallor company I just expected at least new parts. Never will I ever use Leslie's pool service or store again. Nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. Avoid them at all costs. They are not worth it. DO NOT USE LESLIE'S!! Be for warned! read more

I go in this store just for giggles. I needed a skirt/pad for my Barracuda pool cleaner. For OEM, $101. B & B in Tempe, $69 for OEM, $50 for generic, always more beefy than OEM, not offered at Leslie's. Just for convenience can be very expensive! read more

I have been coming to Leslie's pool store for over 15 years. I haven't been to the store in a about a year. Brought my pool sweeper in for service as I do every couple of years. I can't tell you how much of a mess they had in the service area where they work on people's pool stuff. Anyway, got a ticket and said they would call end of day to give me a quota on a Monday. Wednesday came and I called and they said they hadn't got to it yet, too busy and made some excuses. Not sure why I had to call. She said they would work on it and give me a call. Thursday came and I'm not sure why...but I had to call again. They said it wasn't finished and they would make sure they got to me by the end of the day. Friday came and passed. I called AGAIN on Saturday.....again not sure why I had to call again with no followup.... but I did. Every time on the phone whomever was working the store was rushed and always put me on hold for a minute or more. After waiting on hold which prompted him to say, are you still there...he said my device was ready for pickup. Here's the thing.....I'm not sure what happened to this place. I just got here to pick up my sweeper and there is literally a line of 6 people with one person working the store. So, goodbye Leslie's Pools....you have lost a customer and you will lose a lot more with no basic level service. I can buy everything I need on Amazon/Walmart/Target/Costco for less money. And thats what I did for the additional pool stuff I needed this year. WOW you guys gotta seriously wake up. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but was quite bothered on my latest experience at this location. For 20 years+, I've taken my pool water to be tested. The only question they've always asked is, phone# and how does the pool look? Today, they asked if the water came directly from the pool. I questioned and asked what other way is there to get a sample of water? . The assistant manager responds that water sitting in car for a long period of time would not have an accurate reading. She added that they could do a small test for solids but nothing else. She basically declined a pool water test because I informed her the water sat in my air conditioned car for 30 min. Not sure if this is a new policy for Leslie's Pools, but this experience really makes me want to go else where for a simple water test. I could've easily dropped $50-100 in chemicals. 20+ years, I've never been declined a free water test. I'm Just Saying..... read more

Not worth a one star. Pool vacuum was not working well and the first young man who we talked to had know idea about these at all. Waited for the store manager (Dad) to get off a personal call and he was extremely rude. Had to leave the vacuum for just new feet and wings. Brought it home and it worked worse. Upon returning, he abruptly told me that he did not know what was wrong with it without even checking the insides. He was absolutely the rudest person I have ever seen. Took the vacuum to a new store (not a Leslie) and they immediately found that the gears were shot (new ones installed less than a year ago at the same Leslie!!). New store had three very nice and informative people. Did have to buy a new vacuum and very glad that I did not buy one at Leslie's which I am sure that the wonderful man at Leslie's was eventually leading us to. No sale for them and never visiting again. Oh, we bought $75 worth of cleaning supplies at Leslie's and the young man did not charge us for them and only the feet and wing fee!!!.....gee, I guess we should have noticed and taken them back to pay for!!!!!! read more

I have been getting supplies and parts here for years. For the most part this has been my go to as it is close. Todays experience not so good. I took my pool motor in for a pump shaft seal at 9:30am. This has taken anywhere from 10 minutes to 2-3 hours in the past. Today I went back at 5:30pm to retrieve as I was running out of daylight and I have to work the next five days and this is my last chance to fix for a while. The motor had not been touched. I never received a phone call saying we are busy and can't fix today or any alternative ideas. This has left me in a lurch now as I have to run a leaking motor for the next few days with 100 degree heat. Water has to circulate or problems. No communication could cost me extra money or more work here. I sense they may be short manpower in this store as I have never seen just 1 person working. I will be learning the pump seal install myself and certainly buying supplies online if this is the direction Leslies is taking. The person who was working in the store even told me it would take her "ten seconds" to replace the seal when she accepted the motor at 9:30am, but said she would call me when done. read more
