Made multiple attempts to get them to properly service pool after opening. After weeks and multiple visits, nothing has changed. Pool water is still cloudy and green, leaves are not being removed as requested. They make no effort to let you know when they've been onsite, when they come, when they leave. Pavers sunk around pool after 3 yrs and work not guaranteed. In addition, pavers pitched toward house and gets flooded. We were told pavers are guaranteed 5 yrs and to send photos. Phone calls and emails went unanswered. Unfortunately, we have to spend 1000s as Joe is not standing behind the work. The pool is good so far. And although he told us its guaranteed, it's not in writing. Not good business ethic. read more

I have recently been contacted by a collection agency to retrieve a small remaining balance on my Poolfection account. The balance has not been paid as a result of incomplete work. A driving board was not installed as noted on the contract and standard pool maintenance items missing. I have made several attempts to get Joe & his staff to complete their obligations. These requests were met with initially promises, then excuses, and lastly no response. They them have audacity to file a complaint? I then come to find out I am one of many waiting on installations, but they want their money! Last year they came back after several calls and replaced the blower. This year when the pool was opened I am having the same issues with the new blower they installed. I called the office 3 times this week and all the staff keeps telling me is they will speak with Joe and will get back to me. I called yesterday and was promised a call back and never received a call back. This morning when I called and the lady who picked up the phone was giving me every excuse in the book and said they would need a credit card on file in order to send someone to my home to check it out. This is a total outrage. I spent over $80,000 for the pool and to charge me for the same issue I had when the pool last year is just a money grab. In reading over the other reviews posted about this company i should have done my homework before allowing the sub contractor to higher them. It's now 3:33pm on April 23rd and still no response to my calls or emails. read more

Got a recommendation from a friend and had him install a liner. The job was okay so I hired him for pool closing and he destroyed my pool and pool heater. The job was not done correctly and the water left in the lines cracked my one year old heater and my return lines. read more

Would not use them again. Called them for a pool closing and when they came to close, they just threw my salt cell into my shed along with the other parts of the pool. Did not tape all the ports that were open outside on the plumbing. Really did an overall poor job. For the money, they rip you off. read more

Wow. Do NOT use these people. The owner Joe just threatened me ( I'm a woman) to put a lean on my house ( we're sekking our house currently) all for a total bill of 217$. These people do not call you back, they miss scheduled appts with no call, they exaggerate time spent at your pool, they do not clean grids at the end of season ( and remove which you're supposed to do) , and then when things break they charge you for it and basically harass and threatened u for their $. They did not properly take care of our grids which other pool companies looked at and were appalled at the condition ( only being 5 yrs old). I'm disgusted at this company , not only for his threats to me, but for his unprofessional and sloppy behavior. BE AWARE. There's better pool companies in the area that are not crooks! read more

The owner Joe is the most unprofessional man. Doesn't text and talks to you like you don't know what you're talking about. He ran new plumbing and a new liner. Plumbing was terrible and liner is too tight on all the corners(he measured three separate times). I Had a problem with the main drain because his guys weren't qualified to install it with rigid piping. I did not let him to use the flex lines like he wanted because it's not the right way to do it. His answer to me was "it's not my fault you made me install this piece of sh#% drain". Nice way to talk to a customer. Tells his worker in front of me to make sure everything is perfect because we have a homeowner thats going to measure to the millimeter. I explained to him I'm a professional and the customer and I'm paying all this money not to put it crooked. Had him do concrete steps for me and specifically told him not to put the cement truck on the grass and he put it on my grass anyway and broke my sidewalk. My pool potentially is leaking and I have to get an estimate from someone else to check it out and pay more money. He argued with me and lots of name calling as he left my house and pulled away and states "let me know where the leak is" and never came back. The only reason I used him is because the pool guy I originally hired got into an accident right before the job started. I'm sorry I never did my homework and searched him first because there is no way I would of hired him with all his poor reviews! I don't know how he still is in business! read more

Shoddy work and employees that don't care what type of work they do for you. Spent thousands of dollars for a liner replacement and 6 months later it was ripped and pulling out of the walls. It was installed completely wrong and the owner wanted nothing to do with it. Lots of pool companies around. Think twice and get lots of estimates. read more

They installed our pool in 2016. The pool is great but their communication was awful and they gave us no education on maintenance. Based on other reviews this seems to be a reoccurring problem for poolfection. There are other pool companies out there who actually care. We have the pool serviced by their competitor and it's been a much better experience. read more

Joe installed our pool last June. He meet with my husband in January to give us the estimate and layout; we had a few different estimates and he was least expensive. He was also recommended by a neighbor that had similar work done. Once we received the permits he started the second week of May and true to his word 4 weeks later our pool was complete. We enjoyed it last summer and are looking forward to years of use; we love it! The only reason not 5 stars is due to what another reviewer stated; communication was sometimes difficult. I understand that it is a very busy time for them but there could have been a smoother way to try and reach Joe when needed. He is a great guy though and the completed work is fantastic! read more

Horrible. Went in today to just get a water testing kit for our chlorine pool. They had no packs of strips left, but they had the drop kits, which was fine. There were about 5 people on line in an already crowded/small place and one lady behind the register. I understand first hand how hard it is to be alone behind a register but while she was testing peoples water she absolutely could've rang up the other customers that had one or two things to pay for. Not only did she not greet us but when we were at the counter she was on her cellphone with the owner I assume asking about a previous customers water! I mean really? We waited a half hour she could've waited for that phone call her we were the only ones left! She lost about 4 customers today because they didn't want to wait which is a shame. they put in a decent pool, although they did make some mistakes while doing my job, I let the mistakes go cause they were minor ( filed permit incorrectly, put pool too close to neighbors limiting my landscaping). But all they care about is the money, loyalty means nothing to them. They send workers who could careless about doing a good job to open your pool. My pump $$$$ had to be replaced in just a few years, and he sold me a heat pump in NY ( waste of money, these heat pumps only work when it is hot out, but when it is hot out I do not need the pool heated) - They really could care less about their clients. If I could leave zero stars I would!! This has been the worst experience for me using Poolfection. They build a good pool but that's about it. The management and lack of communication is absolutely horrible. I've never experienced anything like it. No one cares or returns phone calls. They give you inaccurate information when you finally get them on the phone. Pool servicing is horrible. No set schedule. They're understaffed and don't show up the days they're supposed to. I could go on and on.. completely frustrated at this point. Paid for the season in advance and can't even get my pool serviced correctly. Nor do they care!!! They're quick to take your money though. Horrible Company!! We hired Pool Fection to open and close an inground pool and we had nothing but trouble. The pool guys that opened and closed the pool were VERY rude and unprofessional. One of the workers was muttering when I asked him a question. When closing the pool he was cursing very loudly and throwing tools. My cousin and his wife witnessed the entire incident. When they opened the pool they did NOT put the filter together properly and it fell apart while we were at work. Water was spraying out of the pipes ALL DAY and it could have ruined a brand new filter system. When I called about the filter problem the company seemed reluctant to come fix it. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a pool company available to close our pool in September so we hired them again. That is when the worker was cursing, muttering, and throwing tools. He left the diving board out but didn't tell me and just left. When I called the company to find out why they didn't include the removal and storage of the diving board I was told the workers "couldn't remove it". Although I WAS CHARGED AND PAID for it. AND it was POOL FECTION that installed the diving board when opening the pool in the Spring. Then I was told they would send someone to remove the diving board but no one ever showed up. Very unprofessional! I will NEVER, ever use Pool Fection again, and I would NOT recommend them AT ALL! read more

I called Pool-Fection over a week ago to have someone come and give me an estimate on some major work on my existing pool. The appointment was originally for Thursday 8/27/15 between 4:30 and 5:00. On Tuesday they called to reschedule to Wednesday 8/26/15, same time, because of a scheduling conflict. At 5:10 on Wednesday 8/26/15 I called the office to find out if someone was still coming. The woman told me I was scheduled for 5:00 and maybe Joe was running late, she would let me know. At 5:25 the woman called back and said we need to reschedule,Joe can't make it. I gave her a piece of my mind and said I wanted a call back, this was unacceptable and unprofessional. I had rearranged my schedule twice and even left work early so I could be home on time. At 5:50 Joe called and said he was told to call. I asked if he was coming today and he said, with an attitude, "no, I told her to tell you that". I told him then you are not coming here at all. He then said you didn't have me call so you could berate me. I told him I should have checked Angie's list before I made the appointment. He hung up on me mid sentence. My family had used Pool-Fection in the past to our satisfaction but, that was over 15 years ago. I don't know if they changed management or ownership but, I would not recommend using this company. read more
