I'm newish to the Raleigh area and have found that the restaurant scene here isn't all that great, and is generally overpriced. I was so pleasantly surprised by Ponysaurus! We went in for a late lunch with a large party and here are my observations: - service was great- always there when we needed him - Prices are reasonable - the food was amazing- white bean humus, pizza, salad, wings... the best bar food around. And def my new favorite pizza place - location is cool, easy to get to, and there's even a slide for adults outside Hope this place stays great because we plan on being regulars. read more

I was hoping for much better. And based off the crowded bar on a Friday night, I expected better. But the beer just didn't do it for me. I had a flight, including an IPA, Scottish Ale, Vienna Lager, and Mexican lager. While everything was ok, there wasn't anything I would go out of my way to drink again. On a positive note, the pizzas looked amazing. I didn't have any, just wasn't hungry. But I think I would come back to try the clam pizza. Love this brewery! There is free parking along the sides of Iron Works or in the garage. If you just want drinks, you can walk up to the bar and order. There are tons of beer on tap, as well as frozen cocktails, wine, and regular bar menu. As for ordering food, all tables have a QR code to scan which notes the table number and someone will bring your food out to you that way. My table ordered the burger, a pepperoni pizza, and the chicken wings. All the food was delicious! I would highly recommend this place. read more

I have been here a few times now, they have a good beer selection, a decent food menu, and great atmosphere! I love their buffalo wings - they are small but they are very delicious! They have upstairs, downstairs and outside seating on patio benches. Parking is very easy as they have a giant parking garage along with additional parking as well right on the premises. The setup is efficient and modern--you order beer at the bar and food from your table using a digital menu on your phone, with food delivered straight to your table. They also have convenient self-serve stations for utensils and water. We tried the pizza and mussels, and both were excellent. The sourdough bread served with the mussels was especially delicious. They also offer a wide variety of beers on draft, plus a full bar with a few fun cocktails and frozen drink options. Please note if the downstairs and outside are packed, there is a whole 2nd level of seating. We ran into that on a Sunday evening. The menu includes a variety of pizzas, salads, & starters contributing to a lively dining and drinking experience. This is a great new addition to Raleigh's food and beer scene. You order beverages at the bar and food using a QR code at your table which means you will have 2 tabs. You also bus your own table at the stations on each level. The pizza was excellent. You pretty much place your own order at the table online and they bring it out to you but there is self serve water and condiments. The brewing silo and bar give it a craft brewery feel but it's inside a residential building. There is a life sized skeleton of a ponysaurus in the middle of the dining area which is overlooked by a second story seating area. Great new location in a newer development. Busy downstairs but we snagged 2 - 4 tops upstairs for our party. Service was prompt and attentive and drinks came quick. Order food via QR code and Toast app. We had cheesy bread, pepperoni pizza, and white pizza with burrata and mushrooms. Little kids had chicken tenders and fries which came with chocolate milk. Beer tasting was very good too. Belgian Black Ale was my favorite. Highly recommended. read more

BEWARE: A Truly Disappointing Experience - Poor Service, Confrontational and Hostile Management, and Long Wait Times As a frequent business traveler who dines at restaurants across the country, I've seen a wide range of service standards--but this experience stands out for all the wrong reasons. From the moment we walked in, the experience was frustrating, disorganized, and ultimately offensive. I'm not one to leave negative reviews lightly, but I feel compelled to warn others after what happened. We were a party of five and ordered our meals through the restaurant's QR code system, which is common enough. The interface worked fine, and we received confirmation that our orders were placed. After that, things began to go downhill. Roughly 20-30 minutes into our wait, a staff member approached our table with a pizza we hadn't ordered. We politely told him it wasn't ours. Rather than simply taking it back, the staff member--who we later discovered was the manager, Sanchez--became noticeably irritated. His body language and tone were condescending, and it was clear he had a chip on his shoulder. Not exactly the kind of attitude you expect from someone in a leadership role, especially when interacting with customers. We waited over an hour for our food. When it finally began to arrive, only part of the order came out. One of our five meals were missing, and there were no sides as expected. We brought this to our server's attention, and she was genuinely apologetic. She assured us she would take care of it and followed up as best as she could. I also asked her for a second beer during that time--it was acknowledged, but never delivered. As more time passed, a second manager (not Sanchez) came by and asked how we were doing. I explained that I still had not received my meal. Eventually, my food arrived--in a takeout container, even though we were dining in. Not only that, but it was missing the side I had ordered, and the sandwich had mustard aioli on it, despite me clearly requesting no aioli (I have dietary restrictions and had specifically mentioned this twice). I remained calm and polite, and brought this to Sanchez's attention. Instead of offering a solution or even an apology, he responded with "You can just leave now." That was his actual response--no attempt to resolve the issue, just a blatant dismissal. It was shocking and completely unprofessional. Things escalated from bad to worse when Sanchez returned a short time later and falsely accused us of putting our hands on one of his staff members--a completely fabricated and absurd claim. At no point did anyone at our table raise their voice, act inappropriately, or do anything close to what was being alleged. It felt like an attempt to deflect from the restaurant's clear service failures and avoid taking accountability. This false accusation was not only offensive but borders on defamation. To be clear, our original server was kind, professional, and clearly doing her best under difficult circumstances. The core issue lies squarely with the management--specifically Sanchez--whose behavior was hostile, dismissive, and entirely inappropriate for someone in a leadership position. Between the painfully slow service, incomplete orders, ignored drink requests, incorrect food, and the deeply unprofessional conduct of the manager, this was a total failure on every level. read more

Was looking for pizza and brewery and this was highly rated. The building is very cool with 2 floors( upstairs was closed) nice outdoor space with garage doors to open everything up on nice day. First thing was that you can order alcohol at the bar or you need to order at bar( I had no idea because nobody talked to me, and then food by app at whichever table you pick. Without knowing the service I provided an appropriate tip which I felt was premature. Bartender was cold, distracted and told me nothing about the beers, brewery etc. Then my appetizer and pizza was basically thrown on my table like at some fast food places that bring your food out but do not ask if you need anything. Had no idea they had Parmesan cheese and pepper flakes until another table left and I saw it on that table. Later as I was one of last people in place service got better, they offered to get additional beers and water. The olives are very good and great value, I took over half home. The pizza crust is perfectly cooked with great undercarriage, the sauce is pretty basic mainly just tomatoes, the cheese and basil was forgettable. Very little flavor to the cheese and the basil. The beers are good but nothing I would rave about. Overall while it is a cool place to go, don't think I would go back. Definitely would not tip, I would tip at chick-fil-a before I tip here again. read more

I can't speak to the location/atmosphere as I had their pizza at an off site event. I am gluten free and was thrilled that there was a gluten free option. In addition it was really good gluten free -- not the cardboard crust like most GF crusts. It was thick and flavorful. The red sauce was delicious and there was a generous amount of cheese. Salads were good -- a step above a basic salad with radishes and a variety of greens. Unfortunately the regular pizzas were a bit of a disappointment. They were all slightly burnt. Husband was not impressed with his at all. However, I know Ponysaurus has great beers from visiting their Durham location so I look forward to visiting this place in person and having another GF. read more

Brand new place, absolutely packed on a Friday night. They have a pretty cool ordering system for food with QR codes but it was absolute chaos and I never got my food when I had to shuffle spots at the stand up tables. Fortunately the management was awesome and apologetic and offered a discounted pizza. Great service as they try to figure out the crowd situation. Well done. The beer was good despite the slow service. The pizza however we need to talk about... It was absolutely delicious. The pizza HAS no business being this amazing at a brewery. We got a margarita pie and it was so incredible that we ordered a late night meatball one instead of heading elsewhere. Both were eye opening. NOT worth the money!! Pizza/Party kind of bar. Pizza was actually good & with us willing to pay the higher price for it. Having to place AND pay our food order via QR code was ridiculous! No assistance! Service was attentive but NOT available to order food. Only drinks. But between a full house & only two of them taking drink orders, we came up short. We get it has strong local following due to being the neighborhood's new shinny penny. Attractive indoor outdoor seating and extra room for parties. I love families being able to bring their bundle of joys but when the pets allowed to come behave better than the kids, it's annoying. Who let their kids climb all over the benches, chairs and interact with you while you are enjoying your own company? It's a real buzz kill! I'm a big fan of Ponysaurus! I think the beers are good and the vibes are great as well. I've been happy with all of the beers that I have tried including some of the saisons. The frozen drinks are a fun option as well, the espresso martini is awesome but don't expect to sleep if you are sensitive to caffeine! Every time I have gone it has been lively. The outdoor area is a fun vibe, but there are always a lot of kids running around. I have not had a chance to try the pizza yet but it looks good and I hope to try it on my next visit! read more

This was delicious! The bar was super packed and and the bartenders were very friendly. It's one of the cooler red I've been in because of the massive dinosaur in the middle and the second level that towers over the rest of the restaurant. This is the perfect place to get amazing pizza and watch a game.
