Be careful, and check your bill for over charge! at first we scaned the soda charge which not suppose to be there, we had the waiter to take it off, after we check the new bill again we saw they added a salad for we never order! The manager name Julie void the salad charge on my card but the new bill still did not show the deduction. They claim that there was a mistake, but aint beverage and salad at the different touch screen page which a server not suppose to add or delete it wrong? read more

Great food, priced fairly, byob. The veal chop is a must! Hot antipasto is also very good. My wife had the stuffed bronzini, loved it. Cheese cake and double espresso finished the meal! Service was very good, thanks to Claudia. read more

It was my first time at Ponte Vecchio, and if I'm in the area, i'll be sure to return. I came here for a friend's birthday party. It was a party of 13 people. It took a while for the restaurant to seat us, it was a packed house on a Saturday evening. I'm sure the person who planned the party made reservations, but by 8 pm (time it stated on our invitation, our party was still waiting in the front. I think we waited almost 30 mins from the time we arrived, to be seated. We were worried the birthday person would see us (as it was a surprise). Now on to the main event- the food. I was not disappointed. We started off with the family style appetizer sampler which included calamari, tomato and mozzarella, eggplant rollitini, shrimp scampi, stuffed mushrooms and stuffed clams. I tried everything and was not disappointed. All of it was delicious. The entree I ordered was the petit beef tenderloin and stuffed shrimp. Again, very good. The only thing I didn't like was the mashed potato served with the meal as a side. It was stiff and unappetizing. My BF had a chicken dish which looked like a salad with chicken breast on top. Chicken P-something... it looked really good. The wait staff was attentive and efficient. I had to remind her of my soda order, but i wasn't annoyed seeing as how big our party was and how busy the restaurant was that night. read more

Was here for the first time a few months ago on a random Tuesday or Wednesday night. The portions are huge, so know that going into ordering. The food was delicious, though. It's BYOB but my parents knew that and we were prepared with wine. Service was great, attentive and ultimately apologetic when my surf and turf came out super overcooked. I mean, the lobster was burnt. The waitress immediately offered to get me something else and I had been eyeing the veal. I wasn't the least bit disappointed with that choice. It was perfectly cooked and I really enjoyed the leftovers. We closed the place but never felt rushed out. Really nice experience. read more

We went here last night for my daughters 25th birthday. Everything from food, presentation to staff was so perfect. Everyone was raving about the food! But our server, Brian, he surpassed perfect. If you go here, ask for Brian! Awesome awesome experience. I wish I could give it 10! Stars!!! read more

One special was a 12 once lobster tail ask the price it was $48 dollars so i passed. We ordered a special salad to share it was quite good ,cajun calamari ordered as app. was horrible nothing cajun about it just lots and lots of balsamic vinegar. My crab cake dinner was ok/girlfriends swordfish was very fishy and had to be sent back. read more

This restaurant handled the covid situation very well and treated the customers very nicely. The waiters and host were very nice to us. The food was made fantastically and overwhelmed my expectations. read more

I used to love this restaurant but we were there last night with a large group and as we were eating we noticed a stink bug on the wall crawling. We called over a waiter and he saw it. After that we then saw another bug (a roach) the waiter came over and got it in a napkin. The customer service is terrible...the manager never came over to even acknowledge this. On our way out i mentioned it to the owner and she said "we don't have bugs here". Really??? Talk to your waiter don't make me feel like a liar. We had paid our bill and we're not looking for s free meal. I will NEVER go back there and will tell everyone else to stay away. BEWARE!!! read more

First time here and will definitely be back for a second trip. The staff was on point, they got us seated as soon as we walked in (ten minutes early from our 9:30 reservation) and our server Zach was 110% attentive and helpful. The meals were excellent, I had the Swordfish Sacilian and my girlfriend had the Seafood Cappellini. Both of which were wrapped up with plenty for a second serving. After our server had wrapped everything up when we were finished he whipped out the desert tray... And just when you think you are going to explode you somehow seem to find room because each desert looks better then the next. All in all it was truly a five star experience and can only hope each visit back will be this good! read more

My wife and I have been wanting to dine here for years, but never got around to it. We live nearby and frequent this shopping plaza, and are always surprised how busy this establishment was. Must be a great place to dine! Or so we thought, when we finally decided to go with some out of town friends. It was a Thursday evening and the restaurant was no busy at all. The service was a bit slow, with different servers waiting on us. I wasn't sure who was who and who was taking orders. We finally heard the specials, which were to say the least in broken English. We did not pursue the specials and moved on to the menu. The food was mediocre, from appetizer to dessert and the "icing on the cake" was that one of the desserts had a hair in it. Not a great sign, but humorous, especially when the recipient of the mystery hair was herself a professional baker and bakery owner. When we raised the issue to the waiter, he offered a replacement dessert. We politely refused, not wanting to chance another incident. Manager did not approach, nobody offered apologies, or to remove the dessert of the bill. We really wanted to love this place, but sadly, we will not be returning to eat here. read more

For al of you who dislike this place. Go to Olive Garden. This place is for you. Ponte Vecchio is a favorite restaurant of mine and all of my friends. Great food and service. You can also try Golden Coral. These restaurants should be more to Love this place but I have to warn you about the puttanesca. Don't order it . It contained way too many onions. I like onions but no . Everything else is wonderful but this is the one thing on the menu that is bad. read more

Our son and his wife took us out to dinner at their favorite restaurant, Ponte Vecchio. We can see why they like it so much. Great menu, really good Italian food, great service and BYOB. We had the Veal Marsala, Swordfish and a delicious chicken dish. We finished everything! read more

I LOVED Ponte Vecchio, after a couple friends told me about this place, I finally got around to trying it and I was certainly not disappointed. The service is great, we were constantly being checked up on and our table was always clean. The great thing is you get to bring your own bottle which is perfect because you can enjoy your dinner without the hassle of over priced bottle of wine. Overall my boyfriend and I ordered one appetizer, two soups, two entrees, and one dessert and the bill came out to about $85.00... we have gone to other places in the City and spent about $300.00 and the food was no where near as good. The food was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to go back soon! Definitely try it out for a romantic dinner or someone's birthday! read more

Amazing dinner tonight! Danielle was the most patient and gracious waitress that I've ever had!!! I will recommend this restaurant to everyone in the area! read more

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. I had never been there before, him many times. It's BYOB which is great because there is a nice liquor store located right in the same mini plaza. For appetizer we had the Cajun Calamari, it was delicious. Different and much better than traditional. As the salad I tried the mustard vinagrette dressing because the title intrigued me, it was very tasty and not overpowering at all. for entree's, he got the veal chop which he said was amazing. It came over mashed potates. I ordered one of the fish specials (there were so many specials!). it had artichokes, mushrooms, crab and some other things that came over spinach and it was DELICIOUS. One of the best meals I have ever had. We got dessert because it was my birthday and their pumpkin cheesecake is also amazing. Going back this weekend for a college graduation dinner. Will definitely try something else. read more

The best way to describe our overall experience is average. Despite having a reservation we had to wait about 30 minutes. Once we sat down it took forever to get bread, bottled water and our wine opened. The food took very long to arrive as well. Some of it was worth the wait, most of it was not. Porter house presented as that night's special sirloin was cooked perfectly, eggplant rolatini were tasty as well, seafood was good, so were the fried calamari. The Greek salad came in huge underseasoned chunks, lobster ravioli with shitaki mushrooms were swimming in a creamy sauce and required a ton of salt and pepper; we were able to snatch the last bronzini, but it was quite unremarkable; shrimp off the kids' menu were rubbery... Our service left much to be desired as well. When a manager (owner?) came to inquire how things were he was bombarded with a list of things we were missing and were not able to get despite trying to waive a bus boy or find our waiter. I will probably come again for a steak and just to check if our average experience is the norm or an anomaly for the place. read more

We have only ordered take out and after the first time I was hooked. The food is really good! I usually order from the lunch menu the tortellini and prosciutto dish, along with something new to try. They were accommodating when I wanted that dish for dinner and they don't have it on their dinner menu... Much appreciated! Unfortunately, they don't deliver and are not part of a service that delivers for them like grubhub or seamless. I wish I can have them more often but I'm home with an infant and have to wait until my husband or sister bring it over. read more

I went for dinner last night, I ordered the chicken parmigiana not only was there two of the smallest pieces of chicken that didn't have any flavor, the dish did not come with any vegetable which was very surprising. The best part of the meal was the bread. read more

My wife and I went with another couple for dinner on a Saturday night. Reservations were for 8:30, we sat at about 8:50. While the service was subpar (4/10), I thought the food was excellent. We shared the hot antipasto and each had a salad. (Cucumber / tomato and a Cesar). The antipasto was very good, and the clams casino really shined. I had a special, Chilean "style" sea bass. It was most likely a black bass but it tasted delicious none the less, in a garlic and leak sauce with some mixed veggies. My wife had the chicken giamabotta (spelling?) and it was good as well. We shared the peanut butter bomb for dessert and left beyond full for a fair price, about $100. I would recommend this to anyone and gladly eat there again. read more

This used to be my favorite restaurant when I lived in Brooklyn. Not sure if they changed owners but the food is not the same. Portions are very small and prices are very high. They should be ashamed to serve their customers such a small dish of mussels. Mussels are so inexpensive. Their specials are also expensive and there's hardly any food on the plate. The best part of the meal was the semolina bread. I was so looking forward to eating their again, but instead I left feeling very disappointed. read more

Another great byob restaurant Love the food here Great service Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices Usually we come here in a decent size group and the service is always good! We share a bunch of appetizers for the table and they all have been spot on. We always taste each others dishes so I have sampled alot of the menu Recommend Shrimp scampi, penne al vodka , any steak dish and all appetizers and really any pasta dish Not so hot Are the solo fish dishes have gotten the sword fish and salmon- they come with veg n potatoes Both lacked flavor, salmon had a lot of boned- My only recommendation is that they put the specials on a pieces of paper they make the poor server remember the special and although impressive it's hard to listen to all of it read more

Ponte Vecchio is by far our favorite restaurant. We always ask for our favorite waitress Genesis she is just a delight and one of the reasons we always dine here. Unfortunately she was not in last night. We sat in the backroom and eventually a waitress came over to us. She never told us her name. We asked her for an ice bucket and she seemed annoyed and then we asked her for some oil for the bread and she said it will be a while I have to make it. She came over to take our order and said oh do you know what you want not even offering to tell us the specials of the day. She never came back to see if we needed anything or if our dinner was okay. She then came back and asked us if we wanted dessert and I asked her where dessert tray was and she said oh there's only one and I don't know where it is right now. She tried to tell us all the desserts which we kind of knew what they were but sometimes there's new ones on the menu. We went with our usual a piece of cheesecake I asked her if she can put some fruit on it. She came back with dessert and left our bill and said whenever you're ready. She really doesn't seem like she wants to do her job didn't have a very good attitude or was very pleasant at all. We found out her name after we looked on the check. Jessica. The food was delicious as always but when we do return I will make sure we do not get that waitress again. By the way we will dearly Miss Genesis read more

I have been here many times and each time food and service is amazing! Our last waiter, Eric, was extremely knowledgeable and constantly came to check on us throughout the meal. All of the entrees (including specials) are very affordable and portions are a good size. I highly recommend the short rib entree! It's also a BYOB which is obviously a plus. Overall would definitely recommend! read more

Another amazing meal at Ponto Vecchio. Boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday night. We looked over the menu over and over again and just couldn't decide what to order bc we were starving and everything sounded good. The table next to us had some sort of veal or pork chop looking entre that looked phenomenal, I HAD to know what it was so i asked the waitress and she said it was a special for the night. A veal chopped stuffed with peppers and mozzarella cheese with a balsamic sauce and mushrooms. I was in heaven.. when i tell you this veal chop was incredible, it was INCREDIBLE. We also got our usual balsamic calamari, bc no meal here is complete without it. Boyfriends steak was tender and delicious but the veal was beyond amazing. read more

This is a good place for fish. We love the raw seefood platter, that comes with oysters clams tuna shrimp and crablegs. Also do not forget to bring your Wine. Overall, it is a good fish place. read more

Upon arrival, the restaurant was freezing cold. I saw a small child clenching her arms to keep warm and management was helpful and made the room more comfortable. The service was very, very good. Unfortunately, the food was bland across the board for 6 people. The Chicken Francaise was indecipherable as Francaise.. no taste. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The Chicken Parm dish came with two small pieces of chicken and no flavor at all. For such a high price-point, this was a disappointment. We weren't in the mood to complain and our guests were midwesterners, unaware of what good Italian should taste like. He was polite and complimented the chef so we didn't want to make a big deal of this, but it was a big waste of money. I wouldn't return. read more

Had a birthday dinner. Absolutely a great place to dine in. Great atmosphere, service and delicious food.

I hear this place was top notch. I met a cousin I had not seen in years and we chose this place to reunite. I ordered the Crab Cakes, which had a beautiful presentation, but every bite I took had a shell in it. Three to Four bits in, I decided, I could not keep crunching on shells as I was afraid to break a tooth. I explained to the waiter and he said, ok, sorry about that....that was the extent of it. Did not offer me anything else, nor was it taken off the bill. I expected a manage to come over and at least offer us dessert on the house or something! I was very disappointed by this and will not be returning. read more

Ponte Vecchio is a good BYOB Italian restaurant. I recommend the rock shrimp arrabiata.

A bit pricey, but worth it! Italian food for the win! Doesn't have a lot of parking though. They have 2 areas for parties~ one for maybe 150+ and another for maybe 50-75 people. Their specialty is definitely seafood. They have a good deal during the week when you can get a three course meal for just $25!! Their selection is fair and the desserts are really yummy! We go back often for family celebrations and like to treat ourselves to delicious foods ^_^ This is a place I would definitely recommend to friends for a gathering and even for an intimate date night! read more

Went here for Valentine's Day. We have been here dozens of times over the years but this just might be the last time. One of our party asked for broccoli instead of pasta with her dish. The dish came with the entree ON TOP of the broccoli. She then asked for it separately and they brought it back still covered with red sauce. When she asked for it without the red sauce the waiter said " this is the way they serve it". The manager later stopped by to see if everything was okay (without knowing about the broccoli issue) and when he learned about it he stated that he could replace it but it might 10-15 minutes... 10-15 minutes just to get some steamed broccoli!? Yes the restaurant was busy, but if they continue with this unapologetic attitude it won't be busy for much longer. Very unprofessional. read more

This is a large Italian restaurant in Old Bridge! What's cool about this place is Ponte Vecchio means Old Bridge actually in Italian, so it's Old Bridge in Old Bridge. That being aside, the restaurant is nice and large and clean. They have a lot of staff working in the restaurant, so you would think you would get fast service. Nope! Food took quite a while to come out! The waitress was friendly, but she didn't give us updates on why the food was taking so long. We got waters filled repeatedly! When the food did come out, it came out quite good! I got the chicken marsala! I thought the chicken was cooked good, but the chicken despite with the mushrooms did not blow me away! The chicken did taste delicious, but it tasted very much like any chicken I could eat anywhere! I wish they could have added more than just the mushrooms! That aside, our desserts came out quickly! I got something with peanut butter, and it was delicious, The peanut butter was nice and creamy! It is a little pricey, but for me I would rather say you should try their sister LouCas which has fast service, and more flavorful food! read more

I heard nothing but great things about this place and had high expectations since I love LouCas. The appetizers and dessert were delicious but I did not care for my dinner. First and last...appalling service- I was with my family (8 adults) and we came hungry/expensive thirst- our first server didn't know much of the menu, we didn't mind at first, he put in our drink order...then our server seemed to have disappear- 15 min later we were greeted by an employee (very unprofessional) and asked to take our drink order, lol so we pir in our drinks/apps...then another employee came and took our dinner order, lmao- everything seemed rushed and just not right! Food was okay, I mean I usually don't care about service but this is ridiculous - glad ill never be going there again read more

Celebrated a friend's birthday at Ponte Vecchio recently and, although I always have wonderful things to say about the restaurant, this time I had a complaint. I chose the Stuffed Bronzini special for my dinner. Although the dish was good, the portion of the fish and the stuffing was so small, that I went home and had something else to eat (I am not a big eater) Aside from the size of the portion, the price was $32.95 (with a salad) For that price, the restaurant should have given me a bigger entrée. Service with a smile? More like a-hole with an attitude here at Ponte Vecchio. We have been coming here for years, have even attended numerous occasions in their banquet room and everything was always consistently good. We even planned to host our daughter's Christening here, but now will never step foot into this place again. After our last visit I can only believe they are under new ownership/management. It all started when our party of 9 was seated for our 8:30 reservation. The waiter came over and immediately complained to us that he had to recite the specials once again. We immediately could tell he did not want to be there, and as strange as it was, we still commended him on his memorization skills. When he returned to take our orders he started with my husband whose meal came with a "house salad". My husband asked if there was any way he could have a Caesar salad and the waiter replied "yeah...there's a way...it's calling PAYING FOR IT." We were both so taken aback that my husband told him a house salad was fine so he could move onto the next person. He continued around the table rolling his eyes and snapping at anyone who had a simple question about the menu. With the patience of Satan, we can only hope this man has not fathered any children... After this, we collectively decided to speak to a manager. We informed him of the situation and he unapologetically replied "I'll see what I could do." We did get a new server who was very sweet, but even she couldn't make up for the overpriced, tasteless entrees and the services provided by the previous server and careless manager. Why would they keep some one like this on their staff?!? We were baffled. But it is clearly because they do not care about customer service, food, or their stiff competition of about 2 million other Italian restaurants in the area. Do yourself a favor and drive 50 feet to the next one....anything is sure to be better than this place... read more
