I was looking forward to Feast since I saw it's a sister restaurant to Brando's in Asbury. It was a convenient location for lunch as well. The restaurant has a nice bar and a spacious interior. Service was good overall. The food however has its shortfalls. Appetizer Zucchini 2 ways - very good Entrees Chicken cutlet panini- not flat pressed and chicken was dry Pappardelle Bolognese- it was ok but some of the pasta was stuck together Veal Francese- lacked flavor Eggplant Parmigiana- very good Shrimp Parmigiana- average We didn't order dessert. We were not overwhelmed on our first visit. Go with an open mind and hope that you select the better items on their menu.

What a nice surprise ! This place is really big and has a nice outdoor area. The food was amazing and tasted as if it were home cooked. The garlic cheese bread was great , the pizza even better and the pasta was the cherry on top! The baked clams were good but not amazing , I would pass on them next time. I'm so glad I gave this restaurant a try !

Excellent vibe, excellent food, friendly staff, and relaxed experience. Highly recommend this place - it has old style Italian charm coupled with modern ambiance.

Came here for a special occasion, and the staffs were very attentive and helpful. The veal with white wine sauce and mushrooms was delicious, and the baked clams were just right - not too much crumb and still kept the clams juicy. We had Frutti di mare with linguine; the shrimps squid mussels clams flavors were all in the linguine and so rich and delicious. The decor is very much Italian family restaurant vibe and very welcoming and warmth.

Feast is a lovely Italian restaurant that was truly the perfect touch to the Shoppes at Old Bridge. The service is excellent, and the all servers and staff I have encountered are very nice and well-trained. Food is excellent. We started our meal with some warm bread paired with classic olive oil and some cocktails. They always have a seasonal menu so be sure to watch out for those/ specials. Drinks are always tasty and delicious here. My favorite is the mushroom risotto. It was served perfectly hot and the mushroom flavor was so delicious and just right. Definitely a dish that I was impressed with. We also got the Jersey shore pizza where cheese is on the bottom & sauce is on the top. They have good pies but personally, I would try a different one next time. I usually end the night with an espresso martini and maybe dessert. We got the Italian ice cream sundae where you choose 3 flavors of gelato and get delicious sundae toppings -- it was so good and I can't wait to try more flavors. The pistachio flavor was one of my favorites for sure!!

We had a great dinner here! The food portions are huge! The bread came out hot and delicious. The seasoned olive dipping oil complemented the bread perfectly. While waiting for the food, the manager went around to each table and spent a few minutes to chat with the customers. The ambience feels comfortable but also trendy enough for a celebratory dinner. Everyone was celebrating something when we were there. On one side of the restaurant, there was a retirement party that took up an entire half of the restaurant. Luckily, the restaurant is huge! There were plenty of tables on the other side where every table was celebrating something (graduations, etc) The eggplant parmigiana was really good! Full of tangy sauce and bites of stretchy mozzarella, I thoroughly enjoyed my food! As others mentioned, it doesn't come with pasta. I didn't want pasta so this worked out perfect for me. Plus the portion was huge. We also ordered cheesy garlic bread which came out flavorful. The bolognese with pappardelle pasta looked so good! The pasta is really wide, almost like thin but long lasagna noodles! It looked freshly made. The tiramisu was deliciously moist but note that it had a strong alcohol flavor. I've seen this place when they first opened but for some reason, never ate here. I'm glad we gave it a try after all these years.

Every single time, it did not disappoint. What I love about this place is that it has the decor and vibe of a trendy Manhattan spot, but the manager and even the girls at the front are super sweet and welcoming. It has an upscale vibe, but still feels warm and approachable. The food is fantastic, the service is wonderful, the drinks are great, and the decor is beautiful. I haven't experienced the live music yet, but a couple of times I went on the weekends it had a fun party vibe with great music. If you're going on a date and want it a little quieter, I'd suggest going earlier in the evening. I also think there are certain days with live music and others that are more low-key. Overall, this is a great addition to the area. I will definitely be back. It's perfect for family outings, date night, girls' night, or even being bold and going solo.

The vibe is trendy and the dining room has a cool, moody club feel to it. However, if you're coming here for a great culinary experience, you might want to look elsewhere. I actually took Afrin before going out just so my sinuses would be clear and I could fully taste and smell this meal and it still tasted like something you would get from the Backrooms. It isn't necessarily "bad," but it literally just tastes like the bare minimum concept of edible food. Absolutely nothing on the menu including the cocktails is going to knock your socks off. I ordered the steak, and it was incredibly mediocre. It completely missed the mark on tenderness and severely lacked any real seasoning it was literally just steak flavored. Honestly, Texas Roadhouse cooks a way better steak that literally blows this place out of the water. Ultimately, this is a spot that relies on its club atmosphere to sell very expensive, incredibly average food. We spent over $300 on this meal and left so disappointed that I told my wife we are going to do a birthday "do over" so we can celebrate at a place with actually good food. Come here for the scene and the crowd, but don't expect the food to match the price tag.

Beautiful space, excellent Mexican food, and great service…read more My family brought me to Mezcal as a surprise, and we were all really impressed. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant makes a great first impression. The décor is beautiful and upscale, but still inviting and there are plenty of great spots for social media pictures. We started with a few lighter appetizers, but they ended up being more than enough. We shared three sets of tacos: the fish, pork, and short rib. Each order comes with two tacos, which makes them perfect for sharing and trying different flavors. The esquites were also really tasty and all paired very well. My daughter had a cheese quesadilla, which she absolutely loved. For drinks, I went with an Old Fashioned (my go to classic) while my wife ordered the "Clock It" mocktail. Both were solid choices. I also appreciated that they brought out boxed water for my daughter, which was a nice touch. What really stood out to me, though, was the service. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. There's also a fairly large bar right at the entrance, so you don't necessarily have to come here for a full meal. I could easily see Mezcal being a great date-night spot or a place to grab drinks and enjoy the atmosphere. There's also plenty of parking in the back, which is always a plus. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Next time, I want to try some of the main dishes. It's a higher-end restaurant, so expect the prices to reflect that, but between the food, atmosphere, service, and presentation, I thought it was well worth the experience.

However, the hype and expectation far surpassed the actual experience. We had an early reservation. And among the first guests. The woman host was very nice she tried to seat us at a table right near the entrance and we asked to be moved to a booth by the large art pieces more center to the dining area. Was sexy and very dark. Our server was nice and we ordered fancy drinks. It was cute but the drink was nothing amazing. Second drink I got a nice pour of high-end tequila, much much better. Octopus appetizer was slightly undercooked and a little mushy. Came with several house made sauces and none which were memorable. Nothing to turn my nose at but not even close to what I was expecting. We also had the market oysters and they were oysters ‍. We ordered the rib cap experience. Underwhelming experience and a skirt steak. But steaks were cooked perfectly. And their Mac and cheese, rib cap came with mash. All good, not great or amazing. Bathroom was not the cleanest either. Water all over the counter and toilet paper on the floor. The diner that would fly... at a 5 star restaurant, I couldn't believe it and they had really just opened for the day. I am not running to go back here, however, I'd gladly go give it a second try again in the future.

Very cool that Venue 618 was the only NJ restaurant to make the recent Yelp Top 100 restaurants in the US. Sitting at the bar, we were served by Zoey, Steve, and Mike. They've re-done their cocktail menu to include beautiful color illustrations. I enjoyed "One in a Melon," a well-balanced whiskey cocktail with Frank August small batch bourbon, melon, poblano pepper, Aperol, and lime. This was followed by a tasty whiskey sour. My wife ordered a Lemon Drop martini, followed by a decadent chocolate-pistachio dessert martini. All of the cocktails were well-balanced and delicious. On the food side, I munched on a baked macaroni & cheese with chorizo. It was perfect! The Death of Hospitality brand thrives on personalization and unexpected surprises. Mixologist Steve, realizing that I'm a whiskey afficionado, surprised me with a small pour of Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel bourbon. This is a difficult bottle to find in New Jersey. Rock Hill Farms was incredible, with a super long finish. Thanks for the memories 618!

Seemed more Spanish to me than Portuguese though. Portions were huge... actually had leftovers from a dish, which is the first for me from a tasting menu. The prices were reasonable In terms of why I'm giving this 4 star instead of 5: -we were seated at the "Chefs counter", but did not really have a view of the prep, which was really far away. Basically could just see the fireplace. The sister restaurant Heirloom is a much better chef's counter setup where you are seeing everything -Dishes seemed to be regular menu type dishes (just smaller portions), as opposed to super interesting types that you would expect from a tasting menu -Beverage pairing was okay... didn't really love the wines For these reasons, I'd likely return, but just stick to the regular menu/ experience.

Right now they have a tiki theme, however, that's it in my opinion as far as draw to keep going there. The drinks are an overpriced smoke screen for people who want to waste money on a sugary drink. I don't want to have a drink (or pay $15+ for a drink) that tastes like a fruity cup of juice. As far as the limited food suggestions on the menu- only 2 or 3- this is the third time we've been there and they said they were out of food -so then take it off your menu if you can't be consistent!!! We're not just going to keep drinking without anything to eat to go along with it. As far as the service it's inconsistent, when we sat down there was only two of us- The server was very nice but we waited too long for our drinks. A party of 7 came in about 1/2 hour after us and they had their drinks within 5 minutes- that should never be.
