I find this establishment one of the better restaurants. To help is always pleasant they always give you the best service that they can even when they're busy. Even though at times nobody's perfect. I sat next to a general the other night who complain because he didn't get bread with his muscles. Honest mistake all you had to do was ask and he did and they came right out. All he did was complain the whole night. They had a gentleman playing the piano and singing which everybody that normally goes there asked for some type of entertainment. They were all pleased with the entertainment because that's what Feast normally does is try and please their customers. If this is not your type of atmosphere then don't come anymore. There's no reason to complain about the atmosphere if it's not your type. I've been coming here for years and enjoyed every minute that I've been here. The food is excellent. Love this stuff pork chop shrimp parmesan and the Italian ribs plus more. You should try it. You always have those few to complain about everything. I'm not one of them. I remember when this place used to be Bensi, which was a good restaurant until it wasn't. Feast had better decor and is livelier than Bensi. A lot of space for large groups. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He did pay attention to our needs and offered good suggestions, especially for my very picky daughter. The food was really good. Not mind-blowing, but really solid Italian food. Plus, the prices weren't outrageous. In an area that has a plethora of Italian restaurants mostly a stone throw away, it's good to find an Italian spot that is very good with prices that won't break the wallet. I'd been to Feast once for dinner & it was just OK. Today we attempted to go in for a family happy hour with my 89-year old grandmother. Upon arrival, we were told the happy hour is apparently only allowed sitting at high barstools. (This was not explained when we called ahead of time asking for HH details). We politely asked if there was any accommodation that could be made for my elderly grandmother to enjoy happy hour elsewhere in the bar area (the rest of the restaurant was absolutely empty). The staff was extremely unaccommodating. We were rudely told to force my grandmother to sit up on the bar stools by the hostess and the blonde middle aged manager. They do not seem to be interested in attracting business from elderly customers as this is clearly not ADA compliant. We will never return. read more

The service was extremely terrific today. The Hot Antipasto Platter was good because the mussels with the sauce happened to be the star of the plate. Also on it was eggplant rollatini which had way too much ricotta oozing out of it so it was hard to find the eggplant. The clams oreganato were good but the calamari had way too many breadcrumbs. Separately we had the "Clam Bar Special" plate of fried calamari with hot sauce and it was THE best plate by far, second were the mussels on the hot antipasto plate. The Feast Eggroll was delicious. Unfortunately the linguini with white clam sauce was HORRIBLE. No taste, no flavor and it had water in the bottom of the plate. So I drained the water, put the remainder of the oil that you would dip the bread in, a touch of salt & the extra breadcrumbs from the clam oreganato into the plate and it still did not help. So with the remainder of the sauce from the mussels, I tried to fix my plate. It was just ok at that point. This chef needs to know not to overstuff the eggplant when making rollatini and to drain the pasta very well before plating as any good Italian knows. Would I go back, you wonder? So do I. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The hosts and servers were very friendly and attentive. When we arrived there was a basket of bread with some herbed olive oil to dip. The server wasn't well acquainted with the wine selection but when we mentioned what we were looking for he went and asked the bartender. The wines they suggested were good. We ordered the three cheese plate and all of the cheeses were very strong flavored and the almonds/cherries/honey that was served with them didn't really work. My friend got the mushroom risotto which she said was very tasty. I got the rigatoni vodka which was good. We were not rushed at all by our server which was nice. I had two appys for a main meal: Italian egg roll, was so-so. Zucchini was just too greasy. My wife had chicken marsala with melted mutz on top. She didn't like it. I was looking forward to Feast since I saw it's a sister restaurant to Brando's in Asbury. It was a convenient location for lunch as well. The restaurant has a nice bar and a spacious interior. Service was good overall. The food however has its shortfalls. Appetizer Zucchini 2 ways - very good Entrees Chicken cutlet panini- not flat pressed and chicken was dry Pappardelle Bolognese- it was ok but some of the pasta was stuck together Veal Francese- lacked flavor Eggplant Parmigiana- very good Shrimp Parmigiana- average We didn't order dessert. I had come here one time for a quick lunch and my experience was fine, but didn't remember it being overly memorable. We came for a family birthday party and were seated pretty quickly. They allowed us to split checks which we appreciated. Got a Margherita pizza which was really good and got the Italian salad. We asked which would be better for us a small or large and it seems like the small would be fine. The waitress described it for us, but it was much smaller than she made it seem. Our party had kids in the group and we asked for their food to come out first, but their food was the last two items. That was kind of annoying. I believe they brought out a pasta for one of the kids as the last dish and it was wrong so they had to bring it back and remake it. I know things happen but the amount of time they had to wait for the food was pretty long and I don't think it was right that they didn't get their food first like we had asked. We also asked which desserts they had and when she mentioned the rainbow cookie, we were sold. It was ok, but I wish we knew it was $15. Feast is the worst restaurant in the neighborhood. If you're looking for great service and strong management, do NOT go. Our experience started off fine--the server was friendly and knowledgeable. However, things quickly went downhill. We ended up waiting an extra 10 minutes for a plain pizza after everyone else at the table had already been served. To make matters worse, a 20% tip was automatically added to our bill despite the delay. We didn't blame the server, but when we raised concerns about the wait and the gratuity, she responded that it wasn't her fault and walked away. A manager finally came over just as we were about to leave, but that only made things worse. He insisted the situation wasn't his fault either, blaming the system and the kitchen--anyone but himself or his team. It felt like accountability was completely absent. If you want a pleasant dining experience without frustration from poor service and management, I recommend avoiding Feast. read more

We were here for a holiday dinner. There are two dining rooms - one room with the bar was noisy and crowded but we were seated in the other room with was large and comfortable. Our server was attentive and took great care of us. The bread basket came with a variety of breads - which I really enjoyed. Our host ordered a number of appetizers - which were all very good. For our entrees, we ordered a Caesar salad and a veal francaise. Salad came with fresh Parmesan slivers and the veal was served with a potato croquette and veggies. The garlic cheese bread was great , the pizza even better and the pasta was the cherry on top! The baked clams were good but not amazing , I would pass on them next time. Feast is a lovely Italian restaurant that was truly the perfect touch to the Shoppes at Old Bridge. The service is excellent, and the all servers and staff I have encountered are very nice and well-trained. Food is excellent. We started our meal with some warm bread paired with classic olive oil and some cocktails. They always have a seasonal menu so be sure to watch out for those/ specials. Drinks are always tasty and delicious here. My favorite is the mushroom risotto. It was served perfectly hot and the mushroom flavor was so delicious and just right. Definitely a dish that I was impressed with. We also got the Jersey shore pizza where cheese is on the bottom & sauce is on the top. They have good pies but personally, I would try a different one next time. I usually end the night with an espresso martini and maybe dessert. We got the Italian ice cream sundae where you choose 3 flavors of gelato and get delicious sundae toppings -- it was so good and I can't wait to try more flavors. We had a great dinner here! The food portions are huge! The bread came out hot and delicious. The seasoned olive dipping oil complemented the bread perfectly. While waiting for the food, the manager went around to each table and spent a few minutes to chat with the customers. The ambience feels comfortable but also trendy enough for a celebratory dinner. Everyone was celebrating something when we were there. On one side of the restaurant, there was a retirement party that took up an entire half of the restaurant. Luckily, the restaurant is huge! There were plenty of tables on the other side where every table was celebrating something (graduations, etc) The eggplant parmigiana was really good! Full of tangy sauce and bites of stretchy mozzarella, I thoroughly enjoyed my food! As others mentioned, it doesn't come with pasta. I didn't want pasta so this worked out perfect for me. Plus the portion was huge. We also ordered cheesy garlic bread which came out flavorful. The bolognese with pappardelle pasta looked so good! The pasta is really wide, almost like thin but long lasagna noodles! It looked freshly made. The tiramisu was deliciously moist but note that it had a strong alcohol flavor. We had the gianteatball w/salad and the warm mozzarella for appetizers. All very good. The entrees were a pizza, chix Parm, veal Parm and lasagna. Everybody loves their entrees, the negative was the side pasta that comes with the parma. It fell apart when trying to get it on your fork - probably sits around for a long before serving. We also had 2 desserts - A pistachio gelato Carmel cake which was Fantastic and a deep fried giant rainbow cookie (literally the size of a brick) which the person eating it liked. We decided to try feast out one night on whim. We came in on a Friday night and to our surprise there many open tables. However the hosts seemed very frazzled to sit us. There was probably 5-6 hostesses and none of them knew what to do with a walk in. We sat down after a little while of waiting and to our surprise our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Our food was overall pretty good. We had quite a few appetizers including the fresh warm mozzarella, the antipasto platter and meatballs. The fresh warm mozzarella was not fresh. It seemed as though they just took mozzarella and put it in the microwave as it was very chewy and melted. Usually fresh mozzarella is still firm and moist when fresh. We then proceeded to get entrees which included the pizza and pasta. The pizza was very good. Great flavor and delicious. We opted for the penne and that was also very good. Overall I would rate 3/5. Food was decent however some hiccups occurred which hindered rating. Would definitely give it another shot! read more

I dined here for the first time today. My waitress was very sweet and helpful. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan for my entree with a side of rigatoni in marinara sauce. I thought it was odd that the eggplant Parmesan didn't come with pasta. The eggplant Parmesan was HORRIBLE! It was the worst eggplant Parmesan I ever had! The eggplant was so soggy! It had NO mozzarella cheese on it either! It was an awful dish! It turned out that the eggplant was old! I ended up getting food poisoning after eating it, and threw up all night! After a few appetizer, I decided on the Bucatini Carbonara, while my wife had the Stuffed Rigatoni special. The wait staff was efficient and courteous with drink refills and warm bread. The food was execlent and served in good order. The Carbonara was served with an egg yolk for you to mix in yourself, creamy and delicious. The rigatoni was excellent as well. This is a local Italian restaurant for us so we were excited to try. Being celiac, I always check if they have gluten free options and this restaurant did. The place itself is nicely decorated and our server was lovely; however, the food was just okay. I got the chicken scapariello which was gluten free. It had zero flavor (normally it is delicious with a nice kick from pepper). My husband had chicken parm and the quality of the chicken was questionable. The sauce was also very acidic. Our children had pizza and it was just ok. Also, I began to fall ill when I got home- I don't think they handle gluten free well. We will not return. read more

The place was clean and nice inside, the service on the other hand was not the greatest. The bartender, I didn't catch her name, seemed very fake from the time I walked in. She also talked under her breath a lot. I had to put together my own pasta meal and the upcharge for the shrimp was pretty steep at $11. I had to send my food back because I specifically told the bartender I didn't eat dairy and it came out with cheese on it. When they brought it back out I tasted it and it didn't have a lot of seasoning. I had to keep on adding salt to get a good taste. My guest had fish and it had way too much bread crumbs on it and she said it was not good. The drinks were served in these little glasses, maybe 4oz. Not a great experience all in all. We arrived to a near empty restaurant and were asked if we had reservations. We didn't, so we were shown to the bar. 20 minutes later, we were shown to a table. I guess they didn't have staff to cover the open tables We ordered some appis and non-alcoholic drinks. The appis, bread and oil were good and the server kept the glasses full. I ordered the Chicken Brian. It was nicely presented, hot, and plentiful. I felt it was a little too spicy hot for Chicken Brian, but it was tasty and edible. All in all, it's a good place to eat. Great spot for a casual Italian meal. If you've ever been to the former restaurant Bensi you will notice some big changes, including the large bar, the pizza oven and mozzarella bar. The bar in the front is large and spacious. Drinks are very well made. If you have to wait for a table this is a perfect spot to do it. We came here with friends and we all really enjoyed our drinks and meals. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend for a casual meal.
