This restaurant surprised me. It didn't look like much from the entrance. As the hostess led us down the stairs, I found a big dining room with windows overlooking the garden. We ordered Bang Bang Shrimp, Calamari, Lamb Chop, Angel hair Pasta with Shrimps. The Bang Bang Shrimps and Calamari are sooooo good. They taste really fresh and tender. I'd never say this for fried seafood appetizers but they really surprised me. How did they get fresh seafood all the way in the desert? I am not sure but they did a fantastic job. The service is great. Waiter came to refill our glass with Evian water whenever it gets half empty. He was very attentive. I had a really good experience here. First of all. Can you say A+ Michelin Star service! From the moment we walked in, from the hostess to our waiter and everyone in between. We had at least 2-3 mangers or leads that kept asking us if we needed anything plus our personal waiter. Very impressed. We weren't that hungry so we had 3 of the small plates and a pitcher of Sangria(excellent). We didn't get any side eye for only ordering "appetizers". Everyone was so polite and great. Had the chile verde nachos(need to upgrade the chips in general to authentic mexican chips not bulk pale chips), Chile Gueritos(so good but wish we had 4 vs 3 peppers), and the wings(excellent, no complaints!). Sangria was refreshing and great recommendation by our waiter Jose Q. Food overall deserves 3.5-4.5 stars but I will gladly look over the food with the service that was provided by all of the staff. This is my first time staying at this casino and maybe I expected something more of a Las vegas-style buffet, but I can't find any words for this particular restaurant other than a HomeTown buffet experience. Great atmosphere and very clean with attentive service but all of the food was overcooked or undercooked. We are attending the concert tonight and hoped for a better dining experience. read more

I've eaten here many times before throughout the past year, including their Prix Fixe dinner Special nights, but am just going to review for the 2 most recent visits (last week). The first visit was for a very late night dinner (1030pm) for a party of 3 -- just in time 'cause they close at 11pm! Someone met us at the bottom of the stairs and sat us immediately. Our waiter came by and introduced himself shortly after we were seated. We were ready for food so we ordered quickly. While we waited for our food I checked in on Yelp! and discovered a "POM Secret Lunch Menu Special" (for $5.95). We inquired about it and the waiter cheerfully, welcomingly brought us more information about the menu and invited us back for lunch (more on that to follow). Crab Cake Stack was just ok. Thankfully, it wasn't greasy, but the cakes weren't very moist either. The cider vinegar slaw was nice to have on the side; sweet with the right amount of acidity. Vegetable^4 (that's Veggies Cubed) was just all right. The mushroom tortelloni was the star item on the plate. The roasted veggie lasagna had almost a minty taste to it (due to the tarragon), the broccoli amandine wasn't for me, jasmine rice stir fry tasted like something from the frozen aisle. Filet Mignon was delicious and served with mashed potatoes, tobacco onions, roasted tomato. Grass and Hay Carbonara Style came out looking just as named. It made a very hearty pasta dish -- very satisfying. Came back for lunch a couple of days later around 1pm. We stood around waiting to be seated. They had a few tables, but weren't particularly busy. Our waiter took about 5 minutes to come by to ask us if we wanted beverages. We only wanted water, which took about another 5 minutes to pour and serve. We barely could get a word in as he quickly left our table as soon as he came. We finally asked him about the "Secret Lunch Menu" and he quickly whisked off our regular menus and disappears. 5 minutes later we get the "Secret Menu" and left to stew for another 10 minutes. We finally are allowed to order. Chef's Soup of the Day was clam something? It didn't look good and was not memorable. Rotisserie Chicken Salad Platter tasted nice, but lacked in presentation. 85% of the time we come here we aren't generally treated very well. The type of service is usually luke warm to down right cold; we can be treated with fake smiles and broken promises (let them wait for their water!), or ignored completely for great lengths of time (while we watch on at other tables where there are laughs shared by both patrons and waiters). Generally a better place to have dinners, especially the themed special dinners. Lunches are ok, but service is slow. As for overall service... it sucks. They have some sort of prejudice against us (we come here a lot)? Definitely just reviewed for good amount of food, decent quality, but absolutely unprofessional services. read more

POM Restaurant at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, is one of our favorite places to dine in the Coachella Valley. My wife, Cheryl, and I have been there many times over the past two years. The food is delicious, reasonable, and attractively prepared with many styles of cuisine to choose from. Sous Chef Melvin Yuen creates some of the most delicious sauces we've had on our world travels. The executive chef is a winner, every dish is flavorful and delivered to perfection. The service is outstanding, thanks to the people we know: John Morales (Assistant Manager), and special thanks to Antonio Quintero (POM PM Server). It was our first time visiting , my husband called ahead of time to make a reservation. The woman answered and said they don't take reservations . However , when we arrived they said they were fully booked"? That you needed a reservation. We were very confused and asked to speak to the manager . He was very nice but still was no help because he said they moved several reservations outdoor to the patio ( where typically you don't need a reservation) ... that was not our fault and they still denied us a seat DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I've stayed at Fantasy Springs Resort twice, and I've eaten here twice! So for these two separate occasions I guess an average of 3.5-4 star rating is about right. Had their breakfast the first time and ordered french toast topped with some fruits. It was delicious! Granted, it was french toast and not anything crazy. But if it's delicious, it's delicious. The fruits were fresh and everything wasn't too sweet. Also nice to dine outside! It's a great start to your morning. Now as for dinner here that I had a couple nights ago... Me and my bf came here for a John Legend concert (who is one of my favorite artists EVER - so just fyi if I had dinner at some Jack in the Box it still would have been great), and we ate here just before it started. The service was very nice - our server was attentive and quick to bring out whatever it was we desired. Very sweet lady that tipped the ratings up ;) I ordered the prime rib and my bf ordered the rib eye, as well as a crab cake appetizer to share. The appetizer was good. Crab cakes were filled with crab meat and had a yummy creamy dipping sauce, and paired well with some cole slaw. It could've been crispier though. The prime rib was a little disappointing... I mean it was ok. Like a 3 stars out of 5 kind of rating. It came with a baked potato and butter, sour cream, and chives. The potato was amazing lol, but it is just a potato. They did not give me enough au jus! It had a lot of flavor, which helped a lot because the prime rib was a little dry. And I ordered it medium, but it came out a little tough. Meh. Taste was good, just needed work on texture. My bf's rib eye was... cooked. Lol I mean he ordered medium well, which I would never order anyway... but even so it could've been better. On our way out to Fantasy Springs for the Hall and Oates concert my hubby asked me what I wanted for dinner before the show. POM is on the second floor of a very smoky casino, but the bad air does not reach it, and it is clean with comfortable seating and tables placed sufficiently far apart. The fast, competent service and a menu of favorites from fried chicken to crab cakes to fish tacos might get your hopes up. But don't get them too high. Some of the food was well prepared, especially the opah (fish) in the seafood tempura, but this dish was only okay because beside one piece of fish you get two small shrimp and two small scallops and soggy sweet potato fries. Nothing distinguished itself among the rest of our choices; for example, the chicken salad was full of mayo. If I were in the casino, which I won't be because of the excessive smoke, I might go here to eat. Otherwise, nope. read more

I have enjoyed lunch at the POM a few times before but never had dinner until tonight. I've been hearing about their Thursday night "Abbondanza" so I decided to check it out. It's all Italian food and I walked away from the table as I did from my Italian grandmothers Sunday night dinners...stuffed! My personal favorites were the homemade garlic sticks, white sangria, Italian sausage and chicken parmigiana. Some how I managed to save enough room for the tasty Italian cookies, biscotti and hand-filled cannolis. This restaurant has a very modern and elegant decor with a most friendly and attentive staff. visited fantasy springs with a gf for a kpop concert. LOL of all places, right? either way, made the long ass drive to fantasy springs, which is literally out in the middle of NO where. concert was super fun, and after all the alcoholic beverages we had consumed, we decided to fill our bellies before making the long drive back. POM looked nice enough so we made our way downstairs and got seated quickly. most of the patrons were from the concert. i know this, because they were ALL korean. ordered the fried chicken.. because how can you go wrong right? WRONG. the nastiest fried chicken ever. the breading was weird. it came right off the chicken and underneath it was the skin of the chicken that was not fried at all. it was literally breading on top, and then nasty slimy chicken underneath. it came with 3 pieces, with fries and cole slow. i took one bite of the chicken, ate some of the fries, and packed the rest to go. figured i may spruce it up and eat it later, but it ended up going in the trash. gf ordered pasta, which she also only took a few bites of and packed to go. will NOT go back. maybe the pizza place upstairs is better. read more

We tried the shrimp appetizer and it was fabulous. It was a little spicy, but so good. My wife had prime rib. The flavor was very impressive. I had a fish combo special. Wow, very good. The service was excellent. The ambiance is not quite up to the high standards of the food, but quite comfortable. Overall, at least a 4.5; considering just the food and service, a five. Next day, we tried their lunch with a Yelp deal. Incredible! Really great lunch at 5.95. Not junk, shrimp primavera and my wife had a super chicken sandwich. What a good deal! And we went back the next day too. I wish we lived closer! I really liked this place. Great food, good prices and wonderful service. It is definitely a 5 lunch! Tonight was my second visit to POM, and it was as pleasant as my first. I actually forgot we were within a casino once we were seated and our server took over. The restaurant is downstairs from the casino and you lose all of the loud talking and smoke from the casino floor. The food is fantastic. My mom ordered the Ahi Salad and I had the Black Mussels; probably the best mussels I've ever had. Our server, Aileen was well versed in the menu and catered to our every need, she was terrific. We returned to the Pom for yet another dinner with friends. A couple of us went for our favorite Asian Salmon with stir fry veggies. It was a generous piece of salmon grilled to perfection, moist but not mushy. The Prime Rib was a feast for the eyes and the tummy. Will we come back again? You betcha! I came to this restaurant a few days ago as I had the most worst experience ever... especially at a tribe casino! As we had received our bill, my husband and I saw a huge rat going into the kitchen from the dining area. I was so disgusted I am sick to my stomach I am going to go in for a check up at my doctor to be sure I did not get food poisoning. After all this, I talked to an employee down at the casino floor informing us with this news, they implied that there is an outbreak of the COVID-19 going around the casino. I just had to write a review....The Managers at POM (Angier and Rafael) definitely went over the top. But first the food: Went there last night b4 the show. Seated in the main room. Although we have been there numerous times, server Hanna was just great and helped me decide what to order. Husband had the halibut special (a la oscar) and I had the Asian steak salad. Halibut was cooked absolutely perfect ---if over cooked, it can be dry. Steak came out as ordered (medium rare), and salad was.bot over dressed. We ordered dessert, which was the warn apple tart, which Hannah told us would be about 8 minutes or so. Excellent, definitely not.store bought, large enough for two. We had made reservations on Open Table, and for some reason the confirmation that we were there did not go thru. What a great find! We decided to try POM for breakfast after being impressed with Fantasy Springs' clean air and surroundings. POM is peaceful, bright-and-airy, with amazingly clean, smoke-free air (until you enter the casino)! so yesterday i had the most horrific experience here. this place is infested with rats . i had just got done paying when i seen one crawling out. the management knew and did nothing about it, not even a compensation considering other customers witnessed this as well. i did make a comment to one of the workers there saying i will be reporting this to osha . this is not okay this is unsanitary as a business to still be running being infested with rats and they do nothing about it. shut this place down unless y'all get hit with a health violation. so i warn do not eat here i repeat do not eat here unless u want to get sick or getsome kind of rat disease ! read more

Came here for dinner, with the family. I ordered the rib eye steak, medium and what I got looked like a piece of prime rib thrown on the grill and over cooked. Sent it back and got a new steak that was medium rare but burnt on the outside. Server said he would bring out a new one, I politely declined. I was full by then from trying the hubby's shrimp. Overall the food is ok, service is great, will come back but next time I'm trying something other than steak. If you're in the mood for steak I recommend The Bistro. Located in the same casino.
