Update on pompom. So, last time we rated it 3 stars mainly because the flavors were not jiving. But they're moved to a new location near macys, and I think this location is a better fit, and the drink I ordered was much better. Strawberry green tea. Maybe a tad more sweetness to it might've worked but overall a better flavor than before. I'd say next step is to check the kind or brand of boba you're using. Because the strawberry boba is a little too sweet. Doesn't exactly burst. Anyway, I'm likely to come back. :) read more

I went a second time and the cashier remembered me (smile). I love the brown sugar boboa and really love their cups (so cute!). I came to this boba shop not too long ago with some friends and it was okay, but in my opinion, it was nothing special. I ordered the matcha latte, and although the tea was pretty good, it tasted a bit watery compared to other places. I'm not too fond of the taste or texture of boba, so I did not order any in my drink; therefore, I cannot comment on the taste of any of the boba flavors. The drinks are only one size, and for how big the cups are, I truly believe the prices aren't bad at all and are comparable to other places. My drink was around $7 including tax. When looking at the menu, they do not have too many options to choose from. There are different coffee, tea, and smoothie drinks to choose from, but the menu is definitely a bit underwhelming. The shop itself was clean when we arrived, and it was very bright inside. There are not too many tables inside, but we were planning to walk around the mall with our drinks anyway. However, I do think that the shop is in such a weird part of the mall because there aren't any tables outside either. You can sit on the cement block in front of the store, I guess, but because the place is in the tunnel area of the mall, it's dark and windy outside the store. Service-wise, the workers were young and nice. They were patient throughout everyone's order, but we had a family in front of us who ordered 4 different drinks and it did take us almost 10 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered which was a bit long. Overall, I would come back here if I had a taste for it, but I'd probably just go to Starbucks or somewhere else instead. read more

A newer boba shop located across the way from the sbux/sur la table area. Just what the mall needed a dedicated boba shop. We had the mango smoothie and the boba brown sugar milk. The mango was not that sweet, I think they make.it out of mango puree and ice cream. I'm not a fan of super sweet smoothies but I would have liked a tiny bit sweeter. It didn't come with any toppings except the ice cream. Thought it was going to be mixed in but they scooped it into the top. The boba milk was subtle as well, very mello, and I seemed to miss the boba each time I took a sip somehow. The kids are cool, you could sip on one side like a coffee or insert boba sized straw on other side. There is plenty of space outside to hangout and enjoy. read more

Awesome things happen if you pay attention. I came here for a shake, which was absolutely incredible, but the luck of the draw was the insatiable spam Musubi that they offer. I have been back here for 2 days straight and I can't stop eating the spam and Musubi. It's utterly fantastic, I have eaten spam and Musubi at so many places but this restaurant tops all I've ever had. The service is great the prices are right and the restaurant couldn't be cleaner and more appealing than you could imagine. Easily five stars in anyone's book. read more

Staff is nice. Place is cute. Limited seating but it's in a mall so you can easily just find somewhere outside to sit. There's cute backdrops to take your Instagram story photos with. The Hokkaido caramel milk tea and black sugar coffee latte were both good but nothing amazing/special about the flavors we chose. It was a hot day at Old Orchard mall and the place was relatively busy. We have seen this place for the first time earlier in the summer and decided to grab a couple of drinks on this hot day. We ordered the Mango Pom Pom and the Boba Milk drink. All the drinks only come in 1 size and some come with boba added in already or even ice cream and sweet foam on top. The drinks I'd have to say wete just okay. The mango was not sweet enough, surprising, because a lot of times these kinds of drinks are too sweet. Won't likely be back as there are other boba places that are better. read more

We stopped in to Pom Pom Boba Tea and it was pretty empty. There wasn't a large selection on the menu and my companion ordered the Lychee Tea and they were out of Lychee Jelly. They were disappointed that there weren't more options. I ordered the Black Sugar Coffee Latte and subbed with oat milk. I'm sorry to say that it tasted mostly like a glass of oat milk. There was no coffee or black sugar flavor. I did like the soft chewy texture of the boba. Pom Pom has to up their game. This was nicely decorated and clean but very little seating and no bathroom for customers ( there is a mall bathroom around the corner past the murals). Then of course Starbucks is right across from them. I will come back to try the Avocado Smoothie or Roasted Oolong Salted Crema -- and I hope to have a better experience. read more

I'm not sure when this store opens but we spent our time at the mall today and decided to grab a boba drink. First, super cute and clean store. They have a great corner to take pictures. Service: pretty quick, kind and professional. Now, drinks: we ordered Taro milk tea which they used taro blended. Not too much ice, not too sweet. My niece loves it so much. I got myself matcha mango boba, solid choice. It's a great balance between the mango and matcha. I had some places where I couldn't taste the mango flavor but they used mango puree here which made it amazing. Love it so much, we finished both drinks before getting back to our car! Service was incredibly (perhaps suspiciously?) fast and the restaurant was clean and nicely laid out. The plastic cups are robust and easy to hold. The Roasted Oolong, however, was little more than a glass of milk with the vague implication of having been near a cup of tea. Avoid the boba - they were nearly inedible, with frozen centers and spongy, feathery exteriors, the way some cheap bubble tea joints used to serve it before the craze hit. $7 was excessive. I suppose they did try. But I can't imagine many people will choose to return after a first round, especially when the Starbucks is right across from it. read more

First try today with my wife, and the service was excellent. Though there seems to only be one person behind the counter today, he was very considerate. We ordered a mango snow ice and some drinks, but asked for the drinks to be made after we finished our snow ice so they don't get warm, and he happily obliged. I have to say, I am a fan of the subtler, mellower flavor of the snow ice, as many places just pack theirs with syrup and excess sugar. This is was a small cute bubble tea shop. Hokkaido caramel milk tea with boba was extremely yummy
