    Mango Crepe cake
    Nianchen L.

I've always liked Moge Tea's boba and fruit teas and decided to try their crepe cake (new on the menu). They claim that the crepe cakes are made in house. There are several flavors including tiramisu, matcha, passion fruit, mango, strawberry, etc. The mango one is a little too sweet for my taste, and the cream filling tastes more like margarine than high quality cream. Plus, the package spilled a little when I picked it up.

I usually get a black grape slush with cheese foam here at Moge and I wish I'd stuck to that. It's my favorite but I wanted to try something new and ordered a coco mango with crystal boba and added amber boba at 50 percent sweet. It was ok but nothing approaching the perfection that is cheesy creamy salty foam and sweet icy grape slush with chewy boba. The drinks are pretty good overall, there is lots of drink variety and they are always adding new drinks. I'd give Moge an overall 4.5. Some minor cosmetic updating or some fresh insta-style would push this rating above 5.

This is hands down one of my favorite boba places ever. They have a huge selection of teas and everything is made fresh. Service is quick and easy. The ordering process is efficient. There are some tables inside which makes it a perfect spot for studying. I have tried so many teas here; it's honestly my goal to try them all. My favorites are: cheese foam mango pomelo, taro tofu pudding, yogurt avocado, and creme brulee matcha. The toppings are great - highly recommend adding the creme brulee. If you're craving boba, this is the place!!

Orange Yakult Tea, Oreo Milk Tea

I always forget to review this place, but I'm here like once a week. As someone who consumes way, way too much boba, I happily go out of my way to go to Möge every time. Their Oreo milk tea and orange yakult tea are two of my favorites (also pictured, but we literally couldn't wait to have a sip so excuse that lmao). They use fresh produce in some of their drinks, the boba is always fresh, and the vibes are always good. Has to be one of, if not my favorite boba spot in the entirety of Chicago/Chicagoland.

A good place to grab delicious milk tea/ bubble tea yogurt, slushy, etc. drinks with nice flavors variety. In my recent first visit, I ordered a Da Hong Pao milk bubble tea and a cheesy foam top Rose Oolong tea. Both were good. I liked the Da Hong Pao tea better b/c of its flavor. I like bubble tea places where you can customize your drinks with the amount of ice and sugar, and you can do that here, too. There are kiosks to place your order for your convenience, or you can order at the counter. The staff was friendly and helpful. I received good customer service. The shop was clean and inviting. It got moderately busy when I got there, which is a good sign. Check it their specials. Their specials have a good variety. Some of their menu items are pricey, though ($7 - $8 a drink). I liked this shop and would go back. Evanston has a handful of bubble tea shops, and Moge makes for a good addition among those shops. Check them out.

Try this place for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. Keep in mind parking in downtown Evanston on Sunday is free however where this location is very tough to find parking as it is still very scarce. Walked in and don't expect to get graded Oregon knowledge by anyone working there is there was only one maybe two people work at any given time busy making drinks. Their orders apparently coming in through online and in order for you to put in order you have to go up to a kiosk, even though there are no directions anywhere around the place. After putting your order in on a kiosk, then wait for your name to get called. The week was not long. There are also lots of places to sit inside which is great. There is no outdoor seating. Well, the drinks definitely tasted fresh and we're cold. They were probably lacking on either flavor and or additional sugar. I dare say sugar, as I know these are normally very sugary drinks but even the strawberry was very weak and tasting like strawberry. I would definitely come back again as a try other drinks, however, keep in mind in downtown Evanston within less than a 1 mile radius There are at least six Boba places for competition. Therefore, I think every place has to do something to elevate their quality, elevate, and improve their service, their technology as well as the creative offerings.

Very quaint, bright and clean boba shop with delicious milk tea options that actually taste like their flavors! The bobarista/cashier was sweet enough to help me and my bf choosing the right sweetness level for our drinks since we prefer not-too-sweet asian preferences. We ordered: Mango Pomelo (30% sweetness) - not bad but def shake/stir it before you drink if you like a uniform flavor - the fresh grapefruit & mango at the bottom are sublime but sometimes really bitter when you drink Earl Grey MT w bubble tea (50% sweetness) - if you love the earl grey flavor, this is actually super tasty, but i think I could've gone with 70% if I was in a sweeter mood)

    Crème brûlée

I like trying new boba places so I came here on the way to the train station. There was a kiosk up front that made it easy to order and I got the crème brûlée boba since I had never seen this flavor at other boba places. It was easy to grab a seat but the tables weren't clean and it smelled like bleach. My drink came out quickly and I enjoyed the taste but it was so sugary that I wouldn't order it again. It was also very expensive for what it was.

    Cheese Foam Milk Tea 芝士红玉奶茶

Absolutely loved their cheese foam milk tea! Love that you can adjust the sugar and ice levels, 30% sugar was just the right amount! Service was very quick, I was in and out within 5 minutes. There is some seating available inside but frankly it's not somewhere I would go to sit for bubble tea. That being said, there is plenty of space outdoors to sit and enjoy Evanston, especially in a nice day. There was somewhat of a strange smell inside the store and I suspect that might be some flavor that they're using, but can't really say for sure.

I was walking by with my friend and we wanted to try it out. I think the place is still new because it seemed to me like they were still figuring out the kinks. It's cute inside with a few tables. You can order at the kiosk or at the counter. I like how they have a choice for ice and sugar levels. They have an option for medium, large and extra large and hot or cold. I ordered a hot cheese foam peach oolong tea with white boba. The drink was slightly sweet due to the boba and the boba had a nice chewy texture. The cheese foam was light and had that slight sweet and salty taste. The tea itself has a good amount of flavor. They possibly seeped it a bit stronger. The hot cup was pretty cool. The top half can slide open/close to drink from! A little pricey but I wouldn't mind going back :).

A cup to consider, the Classic Uji Matcha at Moge Tee served warm was the right order after a long chilly fall day. The boost of energy and blend of aromatic flavors to transport your senses to clarity and calm in the first two sips. A steeped heart adds a little thinking of you every time you tip your cup in love with bubble tea tapioca bits. A little taste of Japan's finest is welcomed here in the middle of western hearts of America. Moge tea has a quiet vibe with sounds of music and mixing international flavors with creative homemade culinary ideas. The lights across that way makes a window seat the most lit spot for happy season greetings from the Evanston community!

I first had Moge Tee in Dallas months ago and to see that it was opened near home I was ecstatic. I fell in love with Moge Tee because of their taro topping. It's not just a pudding topping, it's FRESH and I love the starchy texture it has. Definitely recommend it as an add-on to any tea drink you order. Also, I love how their tapioca is golden pearls. Something about golden pearls compared to regular black tapioca gets me. Aside from the amazing toppings, I do have to comment on the tea. I thought their tea wasn't as strong and was more watery than the one I had back in Dallas. Not sure if it is because they had just opened when I had it but that is one recommendation I have.

Once again Evanstonians get a new boba place! Happy to see another option in town, especially a national chain like Moge. These kids back in the day don't know the struggles Evanstonians used to have when it seemed like the only options were Joy Yee and Tealicious. Things that I like about Moge: - The ability to order Medium sizes - some other boba spots in town that are great but they only have one humongous size (looking at you Joy Yee and Happy Lemon), and sometimes I don't really want to drink my weight in bubble tea, ya feel? - Huge menu with lots of options - there's something for everyone here. I tend to be a traditionalist who likes plain bubble milk tea, but there's also fruit teas, matcha, and of course cheese foam teas. - They have an (unadvertised) student discount! What I don't like: - Slightly more expensive than Happy Lemon - most Medium drinks come at the same price or slightly more than a Large at Happy Lemon. - They use golden boba instead of traditional black boba. Supposedly the golden boba is healthier? I think I am a traditionalist here as well and prefer the normal black boba. Overall, it's great to have options! Excited to work Moge into my boba rotation.

With great service too! Came here during a trip to Evanston and with no evening function on the schedule, a group of us came over to enjoy Asian food. We started with delicious Satay with a tasty peanut sauce and cucumber salad, followed by Shrimp rolls and Chicken gyoza - all delicious Then I had a Spicy Pad Khee Mao which was impressive. The first time I visited I didn't realize they close at 8:30 pm so I arrived at 8ish and the server/owner snapped at me that they will be closing their doors by 8:30 pm so I hurriedly ordered a delicious chicken satay appetizer with peanut sauce presented beautifully in a tiny goblet and a crispy curry puff which was extremely good too. I loved the thai iced tea even though it was served in a small glass with lots of ice. The reason I am leaving a two is because the owner made me feel like I was not welcomed and an inconvenience because I arrived half an hour before closing. It was hard for me to savor the food based on the fact that the owner who is also a server to cut costs made it clear she needed me to leave when they start the closing process so I rushed through my first ever dining experience there. Today was my second and admittedly will be my last. The owner gave me the same icy indifferent attitude as if I wasn't genuinely welcomed. The first time I dined there I had a feeling she was the owner so I didn't tip and this time the owner lied to me when I mentioned I knew she was the owner when she practically DEMANDED a tip after my disappointing dining experience. She said she works there as s server and doesn't have a clue who the owner was completely lying to me so I would be quilted into leaving her a tip. First of all I arrived here at 1:30 and she coldly stated they close at 2pm no exception. There was no separate lunch menu and she let me decide what I wanted and didn't even take my order till 1:40pm I chose the crazy noodles with beef and you either get a tiny portion of cucumber salad or an egg roll appetizer. When my food arrived there were no chopsticks just forks and the plate was very decorative but the portions were extremely small. The egg rolls were good but each eaggroll was the size of your pinky finger and you get 3 tiny pieces. I ate quickly and when I got up to pay she asked me how id like to tip. I knew she was the owner so I felt it was HIGHLY inappropriate to hustle a guest for tips especially if you own your own restaurant and you're serving to cut costs by not hiring a server to work for you. Again I thought it was a tacky move on her part to insist on a tip and then lie to me and say she doesn't know who the owner is in real life. I don't like the owner's lack of business ethics so I will not be returning here especially because the lunch deal is extremely overpriced and doesn't include a side of salad or rice or beverage. She never once smiled at me nor made me feel like a welcomed guest so I don't feel like returning to support a business that treats their customers with such disdain and genuine unkindness. Also let me Reiterate even if the food is good my meal was soured by the negativity from the owner who works here as a server too to cut costs. My meal was $18 ish dollars not much of a deal when you realize the plate portions are small and the appetizer is miniscule too. What spoiled it for me was her lack of kindness and no chopsticks. Just not the vibes I'm seeking. I don't like the fact that the owner lied to me about not being the owner so very sketchy!
