This store needs serious help! I waited in line tonight for 20 minutes and left without dinner. This isn't the first time it happened. The worst part is getting stuck in the line. How can a chicken place not have chicken that won't be ready for 30 minutes? And if that's the case put a sign at the beginning of the drive through and let your customers know so they don't sit and wait for nothing. Don't go to this Pollo Tropical location. We went twice within a week. One day they forgot to apply the senior citizen discount and didn't have guacamole. Then last night there were no spoons, no tea, no plastic tops for take out and a small container of Mac-And-cheese was $2.00. There were probably five noodles. $35.00 for two people for two meals. My husband and I moved back to Fl after living in Co for 5 years. We were so happy to find out we had a Pollo Tropical so close to our new house, after not having it for several years. To our sad dismay, we ended up moving near the WORST Pollo Tropical that exists. My husband loves Pollo so much so he keeps giving this store a chance and they never cease to fail at every order we give them. It's truly amazing. Ordering online or at the store is easily a 45 minute ordeal, no matter which route you choose. They are always out of something. Your order is never correct. Today, my husband's Tropichop was missing the chicken and the tostones were so dry/ stale we didn't even want to eat them. At this point it is shame on us for going back and hoping that someone has changed something around over there. It seems like this store struggled even before the Pandemic. This is a sad excuse of what Pollo Tropical actual is/ can be. read more

worst place to pick up food from. In the past 3 years or so, I have purchased diner from them and 90% of the time they are missing an item in my order. When requesting to get the item cost to be refunded they can only say that either have to go back to the location or that next time I get diner form them to get the item, really? today 08/02/18 happen again; called the location and asked for the manager, once she was on the phone she got upset because I was demanding a solution to the problem. I drive a F350 diesel, just by driving back to the location it would cost me $10 in fuel, to be able to get $4 back. I know $4 its not big of a deal, but establishments like this get away with thousands of dollars because no one complains about it. An apology with a solution its all it takes, but if the manager starts yelling to the customer because the customer is requesting his money back and then the manager hangs up the phone on the customer twice, and then the third call not answered; it makes it a really big o a deal. Doing the math if in a month 100 customers don't get a $4 item in their order that's $400 a month, $4,800 a year. I love the food at Pollo Tropical. They always have really tasty promotions and Cuban-inspired dishes. I have to say, though, that I'm bummed how they're starting to put less and less food in their tropi-chops, I assume as a cost-saving measure. It's especially annoying when you order a large tropi-chop and end up getting about as much as a small one but you pay like $3 more. And they even skimp with the smaller tropi-chop dishes, otherwise I'd just go with those instead, but years ago they used to fill them good and they are getting more and more slack. Rice and beans are some of the cheapest ingredients you can find, so why fast casual food places keep hurting their image to save a penny or 2 is baffling. I still love the food here but just keep in mind that their tropi-chops aren't that great of a value anymore and honestly, it's making me think I should just go with Chipotle where the ingredients are higher quality and you can at least tell them to put more rice and beans in when they're making it. Please, Pollo, you're gonna lose longterm loyal customers if you keep nickel and diming them. read more

I've missed working near a Pollo Tropical so I was excited to see one being built in Stuart. I was prepared to give some leeway since I went on only their second day open, but it was fantastic: Chicken was hot, moist and well marinated, black beans were just right. Wraps are mediocre. The service is rude and rushed. There's a cute blond boy who made my meal semi-enjoyable.

I like pollo tropical but this specific location is the worst. Been here 5 times because it's the only one in town and I don't recommend anyone coming here. This place usually has slow service, but try to tough it out. The prices are good and I love the food. If you haven't been here before, get the following: get a chicken tropichop with yellow rice and sautéed onions. Get about 6 cups of the yellow mustard curry sauce and pour on your tropichop. I think they stole the whole Tropichop and mustard curry concept from a restaurant in Miami called Chicken Kitchen, but it's just as good!!!! Try it, you will like it, I promise. read more

Went there for the first time tonight,3/11/20 , they would not serve a cup of water. I told them I did not drink soda and all I wanted was a cup of tap water. their answer was a definite NO , if I wanted water I would have to purchase a very small bottle of warm water that was sitting on the counter for one dollar. The service was non apologetic and I had no water. Had to go back they forgot the rolls. took the black bean cup cleaned it out with about 5 napkins and put tap water into it. The chicken breast was dry. Needless to say it was my first and last time I will go there. I only gave it one star because there was no lower choice. Every single time i visit the drive thru staff is rude, i was told "your platter comes with a roll but you cant have one because they are still in the oven"........alright then....Fries are always cold and the staff always has an attitude.....Only positive thing i can say is the inside dining area is clean. read more

Ordered a 1/2 Chicken Platter this evening which Menu states (with photo) a breast, thigh, leg and wing. Received 2 thighs, 2 legs that were not cooked. Returned to store and Manager said, "Well, we probably didn't have any breasts or wings when you placed your order and we've been very busy. When we get behind, we can't cooked the chicken as long as we'd like to....some of our customers just finish cooking it at home." I thought she was joking...but unfortunately, she wasn't. Got my money back and will never return to Pollo Tropical. And when I informed the Cashier that the outside lights, including the Menu display were dark (no lights), she told me, "Manager always forgets to flip the switch." The food was good, however, my sister was served the wrong meal. When she went up to the cashier, the cashier had said she already knew the meal was the wrong one. Also, they were out of pollo pollo sauce and French fries. I watched the manager yell at her co workers as well. It toll 25 minutes to take the order then 45 minutes to get food and they slapped it together and did not put half of what a normal Pollo Tropical restaurant does. The food was fair. Chicken dried out on the edges, but rice and vegetables were tasty. The atmosphere was so unappealing, though, food was splattered on every surface; the sauce area, the food service counter, and the silverware area. The staff took their breaks in the inside eating area and stared sullenly at the customers or talked on their phones. We ate quickly and couldn't wait to leave. From the moment you walked in you felt like you were interrupting something and were an unwelcome guest. Management appeared to be chatting with the staff casually and not interested in providi g service. Disappointing to see a business operate in this fashion. read more

This Pollo was a favorite when it first opened and for at least a year after but something happened and lately it has gone horrible. It used to be clean, food was fresh and hot and service was great. Now it is the exact opposite. What a mess: the floor, tables and condiments bar are horrendous. So disappointed. We go to this Pollo Tropical at least every month and it's always a big order because we are a family of six. I think we just went for the last time tonight. Like others have said, ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE! This has happened to us before and we've chalked it up to human error, but this is at least the 4th time out of 12. That's about a 67% accuracy rate... so they failed. They failed to give us our white rice, fried yucca and only 2 rolls out of the 4 owed, which were ripped apart like someone was snacking on them before they put them in the bag. I drove back to get my complete order and received no apology and no rolls. Upon asking why I received only 2 broken rolls, I was told "that's because we ran out" -blank face. Oh, excuse me, I guess I should be grateful I received anything then... Attitude ensued with the handing over of the yucca, like I did something wrong for *gasp* expecting to get what I paid for the first time. If I was greeted with an apology and some kind of replacement for my missing food and trouble, this review would not have happened, b/c errors happen and I get that. But the customer service drove me over the edge. Please fix it, or you will soon be out of business. I wouldn't mind having another Chic-fil-a pop up in it's place. Apparently only the drive thru is open in the later hours. I went in for my first time and wasn't assisted at the front counter. I had to exit and go to the drive thru. Food was ok. The chicken was really dry. And bad service. It took a long time for someone to take my order plus the order for the 2 guys in front of me. Plus when I placed my order I specifically said it was for take out but when I got my order they prepared it for dine in. I wasn't upset at all. It was a simple mistake. But when packaging the food the girl takes the rice from the dine in tray and dumps it into a to-go container over the rice that wasn't touched yet (still in the pot). C'mon now. Why would you take the rice that was on the dine in tray sitting on the counter and then go back and pour it in a to-go cup over the fresh rice in the main pot. Rice that was already on the dine in plate ended up in the pot. And no apology either just a dumb look on her face. read more

Terrible food. The chicken looked malnourished and stale. Glad I ordered the 1/4 chicken for only $5 instead of some family sized meal. The atmosphere was not inviting either and the only thing that was delicious was the cilantro sauce. That's all. I will never dine at the Port Saint Lucie location again. The chicken was so small. They gave a heaping size of rice. I live in miami and have alway been happy with the size of the chicken. I bought 6 quarter with black beans and rice. The put so much rice it covered up the small chicken. I also ordered fried Yuka it was dry and I had to wait a long time to get it. It seems they retried it. Stopped by this restaurant 2 times in the last 2 weeks around 9:15 PM. The first time we were told there was no chicken it would be a 30 minute wait. Had to wait over 30 minutes to get the food Order to go. A week later, same time we were told again there was no chicken and it would be a 30 minute wait. This time I said no thanks and left. My conclusion is that the chicken is made to order after 9PM. I do enjoy the food but not the wait. read more
