Grilled jalapeños, onions and cilantro
Jim H.

When I'm in the mood for grilled chicken, I always think about Pollo Salsa! As you approach the restaurant, you can smell the wonderful aroma of charring chicken on the grill. I usually order their grilled chicken meals so I can't really speak to their other dishes. The chicken has the perfect amount of smoke and salt. Admittedly, the smaller pieces of chicken like the legs and wings are a bit dry, but their sauces saves the day. Their chicken meal comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas and mix of grilled jalapeños with chopped onions and cilantro. You also get additional sides depending on how many pieces of chicken you order. My go-to sides are the fries, rice and coleslaw. I've used the drive thru once and it was a fine experience. However, I agree with other reviewers when they say it does move a bit slow since everything is made to order, even the chopping of the chicken. Nothing is pre-packed. If you want something sweet, they have a variety of pastries for sale daily as well as horchata and jamaica. Something to keep in mind: the chicken is chopped with a cleaver so there is a risk of getting bone shards. Eat with caution. Overall, the food is decent and and is great for a quick lunch or weeknight meal.

This continues to be one of my favorite Mexican chicken places in North Dallas. I've been coming here for years. The chicken is always so good and the restaurant is always clean too. I recommend going inside to order and take advantage of the salsa bar.

Beef #2. Street Tacos Meal (Beef)

The street tacos taste good but was cold. The cheesecake taste like flan . This restaurant has the potential to be great, if they made sure the food is hot and have real cheesecake.

Street taco platter for $6.99 (Oct 2016)

The drive thru makes this a convenient place to pick up lunch except they have considerable wait times even if there is no line. I ordered the street taco platter for $6.99, comes with 3 tacos, rice, beans & avocado but no drink. I did get 3 small street tacos (chicken & barbacoa) that were heavy on the chunks of raw onion and cilantro. The beans were actually very good and I don't usually bother eating them, rice was standard. And of course, no avocado. Honestly, the tacos were just ok, it tasted more like a raw onion taco then chicken or barbacoa. The onion flavor overpowers the entire platter. The salsa was ok but if you want extra, its going to cost you. The chicken itself tasted good and maybe one day I'll come back to try that. I'll pass on those tacos.

Holy pollo! So I was to find someplace to eat on the way to WinCo. The requirements were close and cheap. I ordered the enchilada plate and hubs had tacos. My food was delicious, greatly exceeding goals for the day. Too bad I had so much food, the cake looked awesome.

Grilled chicken!

A few friends and I went to check this place out! It was my first time so our friend ordered for us and we ate fam bam style! We ordered one 12 piece with one 6 piece grilled chicken to feed 7. It came with couple sides and tortilla so you can make your own chicken taco. My friend said putting everything in your taco is the way to go (chicken+coleslaw+rice+salsa+onions). So of course I put it all in! Hahaha it was good and at first the chicken was pretty moist but it tends to get more and more dry as you continue to eat your meal... It's a cheap and chill place for dinner with family or with friends and I do love the concept of family style eating (literally sharing everything)! Hehe

First time eating this let's see cause El pollo loco here is nasty as hell. Nothing like Cali

This place is awesome. All choices delicious! Salvador was one of our waiters and WOW! Ask to be seated in his section if he's there! He is so attentive I didn't ask for a single thing... once my water or coffee got low he already filled it up before I even realized I needed a refill . He even brought extra napkins before I asked for them (how did he know I'm kind of messy?! ). On top of all that he is super polite, professional, pleasant

My table had everything a customer could request, such as hot sauce and ketchup. The tables at the benches had sufficient space, but on my two-top, the items took about a third of the surface area. As soon as I was seated, my waiter came by to get my drink order. It was a drastic change since my last visit. When he returned with the coffee, I needed some more time as I barely had a chance to view the menu. He passed by a few more times and refilled my mug without being asked. I ordered The Connection and chose the crepes. Although slightly more costly, I should have chosen the crepes and a side of the sausages. I would have gotten more of what I enjoyed, such as another crepe, and none of the bacon, which I disliked. Its crispy level was set to extreme. I enjoyed the sausages, but did confirm they were pork due to their coloring.
