Don't get me wrong, Popeye's is still good, but we didn't like how it made us feel after. After a month or two, the Jollibee charm wore off and it started tasting...mid. Then we tried the famous Filipino spaghetti and wished we didn't. The pies are delicious but it also tastes like Popeye's with a different filling. Would we order it again? No. Would we eat it if someone else bought it? Also no. They definitely have their fan base but in my humble opinion, overhyped. There's tastier fried chicken at Nash&Smashed, Bonchon, and Dave's. I had them void the sale and return my money. Why do businesses insist on charging junk fees that are inexplicable and completely unjustified? If I had known ahead of time that they were charging a service fee I would've been able to make an educated choice whether to dine there. They could've had a sale and happy customer assuming their food was good. But I won't be back no matter how good their food is because I don't like being charged undisclosed Junk fees.
