The dining area is very clean, though I can't speak for the bathroom (I didn't use it). The employees here are very busy with the Uber/DoorDash orders, drive thru customers and in person customers. The order was delivered correctly, the food was good for what can be expected from Wendy's. The French fries were incredibly stale and cold. It seemed like it should be fresh and hot with how many orders comes through in such a short amount of time. The employees here were professional and didn't seem distracted. My one and only wish is that they should be MUCH stricter about wearing gloves when handling food and drinks. Only some people did this. It's fairly quiet in here for a fast food restaurant. They are still open in 2021. Accepts cash and credit card. Due to the pandemic, it's strictly carry out. Also, their drive thru is still open. Also, if you download the Wendy app, you can also use their carry out / delivery function. They also dedicated certain parking space for curbside pickup. So that's a plus in case you don't feel comfortable going inside. Their menu pricing is fair and consistent with other locations. In terms of cleanliness, this place is doing a good job. There are plexiglass at the drive thru to help with employee and customer protection. We ordered their famous Dave double cheeseburger. Decent quality meat and taste fresh. Not dry at all. Their spicy chicken sandwich is a little spicy, but not overbearing. Not a thick chicken compared to other restaurants, but I think it's decent. Their beef burgers are the way to go. If you download the app, they have tons of offers similar to those you receive in the mail in terms of coupons. Also, from my experience there, all staff were wearing gloves which was good too. I have been told that wendy's breakfast menu is pretty decent so I finally decided to pull up and give them a try. I mean for under 6 bucks you can get a full meal and drink and seasoned potato wedges! That's a win in my book. The honey chicken biscuit is very basic, but I must say it was good and the biscuit was buttered with honey. The seasoned potato wedges need to be served all day because they have more flavor than their fries. I also ordered a breakfast burrito and it was tasty and cheap. only 1.49 and it was filled with sausage, egg, and cheese. Be sure to check out the Wendy's app for coupon offers because they give away stuff all the time. My coke zero even tasted very fresh and flavorful which made the meal down great. I recently visited this location after placing an online order via their app. I placed my order and not too long after placing my order, I received a message saying "thanks for stopping by". I was confused because this message is usually sent after your order is picked up but I thought it was just an error. Once I arrived, because I'd already been sent a message saying my order had been picked up, I wasn't able to check in or select if I was going through the drive-thru or picking up inside. I went through the drive through and was instructed to pull up to the second window. I was handed my food and drove away to park and eat my food before driving lyft. When I opened my bag, my food was ICE COLD. I wasn't too far away so I went back and went inside to exchange my cold food for hot/fresh food. When I was asked what I needed, I explained I'd just been through the drive-thru and my food was cold. I was told, "YOU TOOK TOO LONG TO PICK UP!" I was shocked by the hostile response I received and asked if my food could be replaced. I had to ask multiple times. The manger on duty that I was speaking to continued to argue with me about why my food was cold instead of just resolving the problem and in a very aggressive and combative way. I asked if it was customary to begin making online orders prior to the customer checking in and I was told that was how THEY do it. My food was eventually replaced but not without having to argue with the unprofessional manager and other employees that inserted themselves into our exchange. After I left I contacted Wendy's customer service and was told what I already knew...online/app orders are not supposed to be made until the customer checks in. I believe that my order was checked out by an employee prior to my arrival (it was at no charge because I was using a reward) which prompted the message I got way before I arrived. You would think there would be a check for that. But I'll write those off as my own ignorance. Won't use the app again. Now, I put my order in and it's curbside pickup. The app doesn't give a status update that I can see. See first paragraph. I wait and wait and wait. Finally, I just get off my butt and go in, and there it is. Well, first I ask Employee A. I thought the days of refusing to serve Black customers was over. I was wrong. The Wendy's at Wheaton Metro not only refused service. They didn't even give me the courtesy of a response. The doors were locked so I walked over to the drove-up to order a sandwich. I waited after the car in front of me had finished. No response. After about 5 or more minutes, I walked around to the window - the people inside ignored Me and refused to open the window even after I knocked. I walked to the payment window. They started taking the order of the person behind me. And refused to open the window or even talk to inform me how to order food. If I had done something wrong, the staff should have at least given the common courtesy of some sort of response. I had the money in my hand so what does it take to be considered a "valued customer"? At some point this has to stop, To most businesses all customers are valued and are made to feel that way. Just because there is little to no competition in the immediate area we should not be rudely ignored. If you want a sandwich - look around. Disappointment in the overall experience. It should not be difficult to provide adequate customer service. The drive through is a wild frontier. You have multiple entryways and no system to account for the guest. The service is always forgettable. To take someone's order should not sound like you are having a disagreement with a disgruntled teenager. More attentiveness to the quality of the service and less on speed. The food is your typical fast food. You get what you expect. Saying that, the management is very lacking and rude. I placed a mobile order today, went to the drive thru and was parked because they just received my order. Ok, no problem there. Then a guy comes out saying that there was an issue and the payment didn't go through. Odd, it says paid on the app, which I showed him. I then went a step further and checked my bank account and it was there as a pending charge which means it went through. I showed this to him as well. He said ok, give me a moment to look further into this. Understanding that things happen, I was ok with this. Here is where it went downhill. About 5 minutes later he comes back out with a different customer's receipt to show me what a paid receipt looks like. I told him that I understand there seems to be an issue with their POS system, but I showed that it has been taken from my account. He continues to argue with me. He asks me to open the app again to show him the order marked paid. I open the app, pull up the history and he sees that the status is still "pending". He tells me it is pending because the payment did not go through. I then opened the receipt and showed him it says paid and that the "pending" status is because it was not completed on their end. I then walk into the store with him to try to figure this out and he continues to argue with me. He then says he will call his boss. Fine, I am waiting and at this point I am getting mad that I cannot just get the food that I clearly paid for. After another 5 minutes of him on the phone (and a good 20 minutes total) he says that his boss said he can't give me the food. I was completely shocked and at this point got angry. They refused to give me the food that I paid for. Then as I am walking out the door to cancel my order, the guy, who happens to be the manager, says that if he gives me the food, it will come out of his pocket. I know that is a lie as I have worked in fast food and management. If it is not a lie, then shame on Wendy's. Oh and the kicker, the order was a total $15.90. I ended up going to the Wendy's in Cookeville where I had a completely different experience. Just avoid this location. Slow service and bad management. read more

This Wendy's is pretty good. It's conveniently located near my job and the service Iv noticed is faster than most places. I usually get double patty burger however the fries even after ketchup still are too salty and not that good. It's a shame because I know Wendy's has tried to fix this issue but still seems like they could use some work on this aspect. I've been to this Wendy's twice, but only eating here once. On Labor Day weekend Sunday, 9/3, I was at an all-day games potluck from 1-10 PM. This was my first one with this Meetup in Wheaton, where I was moving to in October. I wanted to meet potential future neighbors, my friend Clark was going, and I like games. I had a lot of fun, but unfortunately, the pot luck food was not great, and I got hungry with limited options at 9 PM. I played one more game and then left with my friend around 10. I said that I think the Wendy's might be 24 hours. My phone was at 1% so I didn't want to check, and I felt like just walking. We walked over there and realized that it was drive thru only after 10 PM on a Sunday (even though it was like a Saturday since it was Labor Day weekend, it was still Sunday hours). Disappointed, I said I'm not walking all the way back to my car just to go to a Wendy's. We looked at his phone what was open, and we ended up somewhere else (which I will be giving a 2-star review to next). The 2-star review is based on the time I actually ate there. After I moved to Wheaton in October, I ate here because it was convenient. I never just go to Wendy's because I love it; it's always just because it's what the convenient option is. Although the cashier was friendly, they were really slow. The whole point of fast food is that you want it fast, and I wasted like 10 minutes just to order my food, and there were only 2 people ahead of me. Also, they had gotten my order wrong; so they had to remake it. The cashier apologized and got it corrected. Fries are good but nothing to write home about. The burger is somewhat subpar. Not terrible, but not that great either. Maybe, I've been spoiled by a lot of better places like Elevation Burger, All About Burger, 5 Guys, Smashburger, etc. I don't know why I was all about Wendy's in college; my tastes have improved. One noteworthy thing about Wendy's is a square burger. For square/rectangular foods that are normally round, I would go with Ledo's Pizza on University, which is excellent. I will hopefully get around to writing a review of Ledo's (either in Wheaton or another location) at some point. read more

Hit or miss. Sometimes food are well prepared and most of the times not. They used rancid oil for their fried foods esp the nuggets and fries and rendering these foods inedible. Salads are soggy and not fresh. The frosty less tasty than in other locations. Regardless, the store employees are nice and polite. They just need to cook their food well. read more

My wife and I went to Wendy's Restaurant on 11030 Veirs Road, Silver Spring, MD for lunch at 1.37 PM on 3/30/2023. My wife ordered an Apple Pecan Salad with crispy spicy chicken. I ordered a Dave's Double Cheeseburger with fries. After eating, I started feeling ill about 1 hour after eating and by 3 pm I developed a session of bad diarrhea that persisted for several hours. My wife developed diarrhea similar to mine at about 4 pm. For Breakfast this morning I had a bowl of a single package of instant oatmeal mixed with boiling water at about 7:30 AM. My wife had a breakfast of oatmeal that required cooking for several minutes in boiling water. We both had oatmeal for breakfast, just from different packages. At Wendy's for lunch the only common items we ate in her salad and my burger were lettuce, tomatoes, and onion. Yet we both developed diarrhea several hours later at about the same time. We called Wendy's and asked to speak to the manager about their food being contaminated. His reply was that they only use fresh vegetables and we must have eaten something else somewhere else and hung up the phone. The only thing we had eaten somewhere else was dinner at about 5:00 PM the day before at our home. My wife and I do not eat the same foods. We eat different diets. At home, I eat mostly canned and frozen foods. My wife mostly only eats only freshly prepared foods at home. The dinners we had the night before were completely different from each other. The bottom line is that we both developed diarrhea at the same time after eating at this Wendy's. The fact that we both developed diarrhea at about the same time after eating at Wendy's without each of us eating the same food for the previous 24 hours strongly suggest that Wendy's has a problem with selling spoiled food. The fact that the employee just immediately denied Wendy's responsibility without giving us a chance to tell him the above facts suggests, to us, that he had already heard about complaints about this problem and did not wish to here any more. I reported this to the health department and hopefully they will investigate the situation. read more

Newly renovated building is nice and clean. Food is fine, we all know what to expect. Staff is typical of DC fast food employees, they're not winning any charm contests, but they're fast and competent. What turns me off about this place might be due to the location, right between the mall and the metro station. Every time I've been there, someone with lots of baggage has made him/herself very comfortable and carries out LOUD cell phone conversations with lots of swearing and general obnoxiousness. The second to last time I was there, a store manager intervened and asked the person to leave. The last time I was there, no such luck, which is what led me to write this review. I went through the drive through and ordered a #6 with cheese, small fry, drink (Coca Cola), and a 4pc chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce. I took the food down about 5 mins down the street. Every time I am giving them "another chance"- their fries are always soggy, and cold, salty and nasty. The drink was flat, and nasty. The nuggets were warm, but not very good.
