I went 30 minutes before the were about to close. Nothing was too eventful. Service was great and they were giving large portions. I got a scoop and a half of meat so that was nice. It could potentially be because they were closing soon but still nice nevertheless. The food pretty much tasted the way chipotle normally does. The pico de gallo was a little watery because they didn't drain it but that's not too big of a deal. They have tables that line the glass walls which is great for people watching while you eat. I do have to say it was a lot better to eat inside chipotle than the regular mall because once you stepped outside of chipotle, it didn't feel like there was ac. The area was a little messy as you can see in the photos but we found a clean table and enjoyed our food there. All and all it was a great. read more

Ingredients appear to be fresh. Pricing has increased recently due to inflation and pandemic. Tortillas are an additional cost now. But nothing too significant. My go to burrito is the steak and or chicken / sofrita bowl. Please keep in mind that the sofrita bowl is slightly salty. I thought it was an isolated incident, but it appears there is an ingredient there that makes it a bit salty. I rarely give out 1-star reviews but I think this Chipotle location truly deserves it. So, I know it's in Wheaton Mall which isn't the nicest of malls. There was a shooting outside the mall recently and lots of sketchy people hang around here. I've been to this Chipotle twice now and both experiences were terrible. Service is slow and the tables are dirty. Food is not warm and does not seem fresh to the point where you think you might get a stomach bug. Most importantly, the food just isn't that good. I've been to other Chipotle's where the food looks and tastes amazingly fresh. Here is not the case. So, it is my grade A advice to steer clear from this location. You're better off getting a hot dog at the Costco food court. read more

This is not my favorite location of Chipotle. On a recent visit, they didn't have any of the aguas frescas available. At the front of the line they told me they were out of guac and weren't getting anymore (which affected my order -- I normally go no protein just guac, but I got a protein because they were out) and by the time I got the salsa station they had a full tub of fresh guac. Also, some of the black beans were like, dry and crunchy. The food is still tasty, of course (it's a chipotle, you know what you're getting) which is why it's still 3 stars. I rarely give one-star reviews, but this location was my demise, and I feel the need to tell the Yelpoverse about it. It was Super Bowl Sunday when I visited this location for a quick, wholesome bite before meeting my friends at their home. I ordered a chicken salad with black beans, fajitas, mild salsa, corn, cheese, and guac. After I got my meal, I made my way to their home. When I arrived, I pulled out my food and started to eat. I didn't eat much before I started feeling uneasy. Hence, I stopped eating to enjoy the game. I ended up leaving in the middle of the last quarter because I was fatigued and feeling weird. I go home, prepare for work and go to bed. I make it to work the next day; however, upon arrival, I feel nauseous, so I return home. When I get home, I am so overcome with the malaise that I regurgitate, and it is nonstop for the next 48 hours. To make a long, treacherous story short, I got food poisoning from this Chipotle. This Chipotle, located in Wheaton Mall, directly across from the Costco entrance, seems to have a never-ending perpetual line. A continuing unending redundancy ;). No matter what time I go, no matter what day, no matter the weather, there is a line at least 5-10 people deep. Once you get in line, be prepared to look back in an instant and find 10 people standing behind you. Yes, we get it Mike B: It's a busy Chipotle... I say this because the workers I think suffer from the fatigue of not having a moment to pause. I would if I was them, they are firing rice on all cylinders. Surely, I don't even know how they continue to pump food out of this small store. Their dry storage must go down 15 levels, like some sort of underground secret government installation. They must have close to 30 refrigerators to hold all of the meat that is consumed on a daily basis. Or maybe there's just a butchery in the back that is connected by vanishing cabinet to a local farm. So, there's a few things to note about this very busy restaurant. 1. Whenever I go, they are extra generous with the spoonfuls. Julia Child would call them "heaping spoonfuls." 2. Most of the restaurant is made up of tall, aggressively uncomfortable stools ( at least for my particularly large posterior.) Also, I don't do seats without back support. Not my jam. 3. So there are a handful of hidden tables, all of them consistently filthy because of the high turnover of the restaurant. They surely need someone on duty to go around the restaurant and clean 4. Because of the mall being right there with the Costco entrance, it's not the most pleasant setting for a meal, but you can't win them all. Also, most likely someone is circling your table like a turkey vulture waiting for you to pass out from the inordinate amount of food you just inhaled. This chipotle is in the Wheaton mall but not in the official food court. It's right outside of Costco and I am usually full of samples or a Costco smoothie when I pass this location. This is your typical chipotle, not too bad, not amazing. The made our bowls as requested but the folks working there must have had a bad day. I came here on a Wednesday night with my fiance. This Chipotle is located inside of Wheaton Mall, across from the Costco. It gets alot of foot traffic and the cleanliness of the location suffers because of it. On my visit, there were food scraps and used napkins on a majority of the tables, so we took our food to go. There was a long line, but the staff are efficient and the line moved quickly. I ordered my usual: white rice, barbacoa, corn and guacamole. The white rice was a little undercooked, but other than that the meal was on par with other Chipotle locations I have visited. The major improvement this place needs is more staff to handle cleanup in the seating areas. I would visit this location again as long as I am taking my food to go. Since the location is so close to Costco, expect to park a little further out since Costco is always packed. read more

They tried to charge me $1.25 for a dollop of sour cream & when I told her I didn't want a whole side of it she said no matter how much she gave me she had to charge. Just ate lunch at the Chipotle in Kensington, MD. The food is fine and reasonably priced. The staff were courteous and helpful. I waited in a fairly long line of people, half of whom were unmasked. The guy behind me was coughing without a mask. No one was asked by management or staff to mask up. A chipotle experience is all on who is making your food. I didn't realize a soup could be made at chipotle but after the lady scooped the tomatoes and corn and didn't let the liquid drain for a second. Chipotle soup bowl was made. I ended up getting a second bowl to let it drain some but the damage was already done. With all the bad press chipotle is getting lately you would think they would figure out a way to stop the bleeding and what was great about chiptole was the food. When the food become meh. Chipotle is meh. There are other places that have the same features with better service. I keep going back cause I think it will get better. read more

This is my least favorite Chipotle location in the area. It's always super crowded, the staff is not quick or friendly when I have been there and the tables are almost always dirty. They have also been out of really random things like chips, guacamole, and CHEESE when I have been there before. This is the worst Chipotle ever. I used the Chipotle app to skip the line. The app makes it so they have 15 minutes to make it. I arrive 30 minutes later and it's not made at all. So I'm left standing at the register waiting for them to make my meal. Then it gets worse. They mess up my order. So now I have to continue to wait at the register while they do my order correctly. I was soooo over it. Apparently the print out they got of my order confused them as it said 1 order of tacos as opposed to 3 tacos so they only made 1. Never mind the fact that the total was a lot more than the price of 1 taco. It gets WORSE. I check my credit card statement a few days later and see that they TRIPLE charged me. I am in the process of disputing the transaction with my bank right now. They will never see me again. Everyone who works at this location needs to be ousted. They need a new team completely. i love chipotle so this review is mainly for the new location in wheaton mall. good location, right outside of costco if i wanted to eat after i did some shopping haha there is a good amount of seating inside as well as outside. the staff is decent, sometimes their overly nice other times they are average. i do feel like this particular location gives more food than others. my burrito bowl was STACKED and i didnt double anything!!! read more

Stopped in late night with the fam and they would have gotten 5 but the bathroom was a fruit fly haven. However that is where the bad ends and the quality begins. All the staff seemed friendly and responsive to my questions. The food tasted like Chipolte but the level of service was great. We spilled most of our bowl and rather quickly were asked if they could replace it for us. No asking or anything just kindness offered.
