The Chicken is the best in Laurel Md. I love the service. Hand down the best fried chicken you can get in a restaurant.

7.18.22 My lunch was great, not so much for my husband. He ordered mixed 4 piece and what he got instead was all dark meat. He only likes white meat. It worked out in my favor though. Lol. The pieces were small especially the drumsticks. Nice that we got an extra drummie. Guess they can't count unless they threw an extra in b/c they were small. My husband was annoyed as he said his order was simple and straightforward yet they managed to mess it up. The only thing that compensated for the mess up is that he liked the beans.

Friendly service and food came out quickly for how fresh it all was at the Fredrick location. Fried chicken, plantains, fries, and original fried chicken sandwich were all delicious. Bun on the sandwich was cold, but the chicken was crispy, the sauce was well seasoned, and the pickles were sweet but paired well with the chicken's flavor. Horchata and mango juice drinks were both pretty good. Location was very colorful and clean with indoor seating, outdoor seating, as well as a drive thru.

Pollo Campero is my favorite fast food place when visiting El Salvador. Every Pollo Campero there is always clean and service is top notch . I decided to visit the Pollo Campero in Laurel MD. I got to say service was great and the place was clean. The menu has items like tortillas and mashed potatoes that aren't offered back in Central America. Those to items were my least favorites in the menu. The Coleslow is different then the original recipe and the main reason I'm deducting 1 star. Overall It is a good place to eat Pollo.

This location is tricky to get to because it's on a major one-way road, so exercise some caution (drive slowly, watch out for the curb, and turn with a mindful eye to crossing pedestrians). Immediately after I saw the Pollo Campero sign, I slowed down (it's easy to miss and pass it) and pulled in to the parking lot, which has about eight or ten angled spots to the right, including several designated as spots for those with handicap stickers/placards. There was a slippery puddle of water right before you open the doors; it had been raining direly earlier. At about 8:22 pm, with a closing time of 9:00 pm, there were about 8-10 orders ahead of me in line (some were two-person parties, some were adults with children, and others were by themselves). It looked like most people in line were taking their food to go, despite there being several spots inside for dining. Only about three tables out of what I'd estimate are about 50 seats were occupied. There was only one employee staffed at the cash register, and no additional registers were opened up to alleviate the line. Still, the line moved smoothly. I ordered food to go: the camperitos (boneless chicken tenders) meal with tortilla (they were out of the dinner roll) and yucca. I had a coupon that covered the cost of the meal because of a very error-filled order I had placed recently. The cashier asked me to donate to St. Jude---"Any amount helps!" she said with gusto---so I donated an undisclosed amount. The cashier did not ask me about the app, which allows me to earn points and redeem rewards. I was handed a paper to acknowledge my donation on a wall that had several dozen other donors already. Great for them to partner with St. Jude! My food order was ready within eight minutes, packaged neatly, correct with all necessary sauces and utensils, and handed to me by a friendly, neatly dressed employee who looked happy at her job. I thanked her, and she wished me a good evening. I would return. This is the closest location to my house.

Wow, nice concept in a really hard area of Laurel to navigate. I truest love this place. The chicken is always perfect and the sizes are flavorful. It is fast food that takes it to another level. Stop in and give them a try.

I don't know what was in the bun it looked like little pcs of chalk. I was afraid to eat it so I threw it away smh!

Not impressed with this place. Portion size are small. They said they make the best chicken. Naw. We had better Peruvian.

    Dinner roll

I ordered dinner rolls again and got some rolls with white powder not sure what it is lol. Not sure if it's flour though!

This place is one of the best fried chicken spots around. It's always crispy and the chicken always tastes fresh. Consistency is key!

Before I left for Texas, I would always crave the chicharones and yucca here. My kids and I would plan our errands around the area, so that we could have a good treat from the truck. Now that I'm back, it did not disappoint my fond memories! I was literally ordering chicharones and yucca at 9:00 am in the morning on a cold wet rainy winter morning! It was easy to order, hooray for pictures, if you want to pick something else. My goddaughters love the pupusas here too! They were here a few days ago and brought us some home, hot and fresh! That's what sent me down memory lane! Foodie cravings of crunchy savory porky perfection and the yucca fries that are always golden and crunchy on the outside and pillowy inside. The salad is on point and elevates the dish to be a little lighter and adds the crispy vinegary element that helps reset the pallet. And of course, I had to order decadent sweet plantains... my guilty pleasure. Did I mention this was at 9:00 am! There's literally school buses still out! But if I didn't eat it all, because of how generous the portions are, I can air fry all these Foodie treasures back to their best texture and temperature. Needless to say, this made all the cold wet cold weather just another day in paradise! Hope you all have a blessed day!!! Give a good tip, since it's safer than hugs and kisses.... because that's what this food feels like !!! Share the LOVE!!

This most recent visit was with a friend who was trying it for the first time, and he loved it. The food was delicious as always. He had the arroz con pollo (which I recommended), and I had the camarones al ajillo -- shrimp in garlic sauce with rice, salad, and plantains. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The bartenders were so pleasant and attentive. We sat at the bar, and even though it was crowded (which it usually is -- a good sign!), the service was still great. Now let's talk about the drinks because they were the real stars:    *   My friend had three mango margaritas and couldn't stop talking about how good they were.    *   I tried the cucumber jalapeño margarita -- you could literally smell the fresh cucumber as they made it. It did not hold back on the jalapeño! It had a real kick, but the flavor was amazing.    *   And the mojitos? Delicious. They use real sugarcane, and you can taste the freshness. Great vibes, great service, consistently amazing food and drinks. I will absolutely keep coming back and always recommend this place.

The complimentary chips were okay, but the salsa stood out, it had an authentic/in house made flavor. For the main meals, everyone at the table was satisfied. We had an order of the shrimp and chicken fajitas, beef floutas and the salmon a la parrilla, grilled salmon topped with homemade mango salsa served with mixed green salad, rice & beans. The mango salsa was tasty but I didn't like how runny it was. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the restaurant itself looked clean and well-kept, which made the whole experience more enjoyable. The handmade tortillas really sealed it for me, there's something about that fresh, slightly imperfect texture that just hits different. Took me straight back to homemade meals. Had to try the pupusas too, cheese & pork is my go-to, and these delivered. Crispy outside, packed with flavor inside. Also, I've been searching for a good horchata around the DMV, and this one is definitely up there. Smooth, not chalky, and a little sweet (which I personally prefer). Big bonus: I grabbed food to-go for my wife, who's vegetarian, and they had legit options, not just an afterthought.
