I went in to use the four piece combo meal coupon that was sent to me in the mail. Staff was very welcoming when I walked in and the places looked really clean. I took the food to go and it was still warm after my 15 minute drive. The chicken was crispy and seasoned nicely and the plantains were cooked really well. The coleslaw was ok. I got a drink with the combo. I wanted the raspberry tea, but the machine seem to not be working so I opted for something that looked like it was Sprite but did not taste like. I should start out by saying I didn't get to eat there, but the customer service was amazing. I tried to place an online order for a Campero Bowl, and they called me within like three minutes after placing the order to let me know that they were out of some of the ingredients and we're not able to make the bowls right now. The management in this location is trash. They never have chicken ready and will just flat out refuse to make the grilled chicken some days. No matter what you order they never just give it to you in the drive thru and ask you to go park sometimes promptly forgetting about your existence so you have to go inside to ask for your order or go through the drive thru again. My guess is their drive thru is on a timer and they are supposed to keep it under a certain time per transaction but they can't because they never have any chicken actually ready. For under $7, I got 9 camperitos ( think chicken tenders that are about double the size of a piece of popcorn chicken), fries, and a roll. I also got a medium drink for about $2 with free refills on any of their drinks. Their drink selection has all of the normal choices of soda including tea. The best thing was that for the price of the soda, I was able to drink all of the horchata I wanted! There was also a mango juice option. PS, the horchata was so good that I got a second glass of it. The food arrived quickly and with a smile. What took me by surprise was that despite the fast food feel of the store, the food was served on real dish ware with real metal silverware. Definitely classed up the lunch experience! Plus the booths were very comfortable, making this patron very content. As for the food, the chicken was fantastic! This place's located off the busy road of fry road and it is very easy to missed if you a fast driver like me. The parking is very tight is a very small parking lot. The chicken was very good. I ordered the three pieces combo. You have a choice between fry and baked. I ordered the baked one, the chicken was full of spices that combine with fresh lime they give you, it is one of the best chicken I taste in a long time. The place is fast casual means, you go up and order , they give you a number, then they bring you out the food. The service is it is what it is consider it is brand new. What I didn't like was ten minutes before closing on the Friday night they put away the napkins. That kind of ruined the experience. That been said I will be back for more chickens. read more

Tried this chain for the first time after moving back to Houston. Had the half chicken special with 4 pieces of fried chicken. The fried chicken was amazing. It was moist and juicy ESPECIALLY the white meat which is not easy to get right. The breading was light and crunchy, and well seasoned not so bready and chunky like at KFCs. By far better fried chicken than KFC, Churches or Popeyes. The sides were surprisingly good. The mixed corn was light yet flavorful with sprinkling of a decent quality cheese. The Yuka fries were large but fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside and seasoned with a very nice flavor, not just salt. I'll have to come back to see if this was a fluke, but it's by far the best fried chicken and fries I've had at a fast food joint. So anyway, they sub'd in some other sides for me and I asked for several comparo sauces - and honey mustard as I did spend $30 on a family meal. They girl handed me my bag with a "Here you go" ... I said is that it? She said Yes and closed the window .. No "thank you " or anything. And I'll tell you, THATS what irritates me the most. Out of a couple of your MAIN things ? Fine.
