    Bulgogi Fries

I ordered the Bulgogi Fries and enjoyed the seasoned fries with bulgogi, mozzarella, scallions & spicy mayo. This was a great size portion that I couldn't finish it. I will say there wasn't a lot of people here and had issues trying to get a refill. Other than that this was a yummy treat.

I just want to preface this by saying I am usually obsessed with Bonchon and used to go out of my way for some when I lived in Maryland. I've been to Bonchon in San Diego, NYC, Maryland, and now here. The wings here are not breaded and lacked the "crunch," I've experienced at every other Bonchon. The flavor was also off and the wings were dry. Although, the service was good the food just missed the mark. Will definitely have to stop by the Bonchon in Midtown (50 min away) to get my cravings satisfied.

Flavors were amazing. We arrived an hour before closing but staff were super friendly. They let us taste sauces to decide which we wanted. We were the only ones in there but didn't make a difference.

What a huge disappointment and waste of $124, I love Bonchon, been eating it since I lived in colorado for years, Came into town today and I ordered 2 orders of Pot stickers, drums, wings, japchea, fried rice with bulgogi, the wings are not double fried, some barley fried and barley had any skin, HORRIBLE, the rice and potstickers were good as usual but I am seriously disappointed with the drumsticks and wings, they are not the normal for BONCHON

I only ordered the wings and they were pretty good. However, not sure worth it for the price. The service was great and they were very attentive. It was a little early in the day there weren't many people in the restaurant at the time, but it was very clean and well kept.

Remembered, my first experience here not being very good (about two years ago), due to their being an overzealous waiter who talked our ears off about everthing from sneakers to hats and that the Korena Fried Chicken was overcooked. I always feel like some places deserve a second chance, so since I work close to this location I decided to give it a redo. Took a trip during a late lunch break, after the noon rush, and found the place pretty empty. Interestingly enough, it still took someone over f ive minutes to even acknowledge that I was even there, even though there was a lady behind the bar - just steps from me. Someone finally came and took my order of the chicken strips, fries, and a drink. While waiting, I noticed that some of the tables weren't clean. I'm sure that the lunch rush was just ending, but no one was really attending to the tables during my time there. My food came out, after a little wait, and the presentation was OK, but the fry order looked a bit light and I had to ask for ketchup, even thought there was a little place for it on the fench fry holder. I was then given half a container of ketchup (see images). The taste of the spicy sauce was nice, but after a single bite of each chicken strip the batter fell right off of the strip. I don't recall ever seeing that before. I don't know what to do after this visit. I guess we'll see.

This was my first time at a Bonchon location so I did not have something to compare it to as other reviewers did but the food was good. Seating: there is a lot of indoor seating, couple of large booths for bigger parties and bar seating. There is a bar. We came for lunch and ordered from the lunch menu: - Bulgogi house fried rice - Chicken wings with seasoned fries (Parmesan cheese + parsley) - Boneless chicken "wings" with regular fries The Bulgogi house fried rice was great and I would get it again. The wings were okay. They gave me extra boneless chicken wings (a plus!) but I could not finish my food. Fries were also good. Service was a bit slow (took awhile to order food). There were a few others dining inside but otherwise no complaints about customer service.

The food was okay. I had the chicken katsu and it came with so much rice. Please get extra sauce if you order it. I didn't finish it and took it home, it does not really microwave well after a day. The wings were okay, doesn't heat up well after a day either. The service was okay. We stayed outside but the outside lights were just for decor. It would have been nice if the lights came on. I would go again to try something else on the menu.

I should have known and walked out the door when I saw the "seat yourself" sign. The store wasn't even busy, and if it wasn't for us moving to a cleaner table-- the server probably wouldn't have even noticed us. "Have you been attended?" No. She gave us the menus and went on her way. 10 minutes later she finally made it back around and got our order. Plates and silverware came out, but she was missing a full set for our table. Halfway eating through the food, my mom reminded me there's supposed to be coleslaw or raddish with this. I told her it might only be a Virginia thing that it's complimentary. I grabbed the menu again and saw in fine print, side comes complimentary with the order. So, I flagged the server down and told her about the side dishes. She then asked me if I even ordered it. I told her she never even bothered to ask or let us know that it's complimentary with the order in the first place. Instead of owning up to her mistake, she makes an irrelevant excuse of "I don't do it because people get offended." Offended for what? Lord. Granted she could have offered to make up for her mistake and ask what we would like but she just stood there staring at me so I had to ask her if it's okay to get the sides now. She nonchalantly said "yeah." I was getting down to half a sip of water left and asked if I could get some more water. She looked at me and then asks me back "MORE water?" As if it's an outrageous request. Management, please hire. You guys are clearly understaffed if you have to put up a sign at the host stand to seat yourself. Not to mention two people came in and rang the bell by the bar and no one came out so they had to leave. Also, please re-train your current staff. Good customer service goes along way for retention. Literally the only good thing from this visit was that the food came out fast.

From the moment…read moreyou step into the clean, large restaurant, you get greeted by the loveliest Korean ahjummas and are seated at a table next to a TV playing some K-Drama. The menu is big, but every item on it is executed so well. The flavors are comparable to that you'll get in Korea, with the side dishes few but perfect (the kimchi, jjangachi, and radish kimchi). My favorite is the gamjatang---there is so much meat, the potatoes are piping hot, and the soup is perfectly seasoned and rich. The pancakes and blood sausages are also delicious. I love coming here whenever I crave authentic Korean food: everything from the service to the meal itself is top-tier. The prices are also very very reasonable, especially lunch prices! Parking is plentiful and it's right off the freeway. You have to come here for the best Korean food in the area---I drive all the way from the Medical Center to come here, and it never disappoints!

Every single dish was spot-on and the portions were quite generous. If I had to pick, the Japchae, Jajang Myeon, and Spicy Seafood Jjampong Soup were especially memorable. A thick noodle is used for the Japchae which held on to the flavor really well and provided more of a bite. The Jajang Myeon and Soup were absolutely bursting with flavor - bold, rich, and truly satisfying. They perfectly captured the essence of what these dishes should taste like: delivering a home-cooked taste at restaurant quality. As typical of Korean restaurant, every meal comes with an assortment of banchan. The kimchi was perfection and it seems like there are unlimited refills for the banchan. Let's not forget that this is a Pocha! There are lots of drink options and they are open late. This also makes for a great place for large groups and seating ranges from open tables or private booths for those looking for something more private. There is an open stage where I suppose open-mic karaoke used to take place, but as of 01/2025 management has put up signs stating it's currently not in use due to noise complaints from the neighbors. Still, there are plenty of private karaoke rooms to be put to use. This place is a hidden gem - it seems like a well-kept secret tucked away in this little neighborhood. I really hope the place gets more traffic in the future. They really deserve it! Overall really great place to come chill at with friends they've got the food, drinks, and karaoke covered.

The other thing was that our server was way too busy and focused on other table or they were short staffed during afternoon and the place was empty not packed nor busy. We will be back again hopefully it gets better.

They typically speak English, are friendlier, and address you as sir or ma'am. The young staff are the ones hosting, ordering, and handling the bill. The older staff are the ones cooking your meat in front of you. It's a hit or miss as I have been here and another location multiple times. Not all, but some of the cooking staff are very hasty to cook as they jump from table to table. They splattered oil (which can happen) and didn't apologize about the incident. No acknowledgment. The older staff are not as friendly. But again, I have seen moments, where they are so considerate, and cook at another table (other table was empty). Could be a language barrier thing also. I prefer that they slow down on the cooking, or even allow me to cook myself. 2. Price - we roughly paid $90 for 3 people. 1 meat dishes is roughly $30. 3. Haha. Instead they have KPop music videos playing on tv. Dress code here is casual. Table is small for this type of food. 4. Food - They have combination deals, but we opted to order individually. We decided to add as we needed more. For a party of 2.5, we had about 3 meat dishes. That was more than enough. If this is your first time, I recommend to get their BEEF BRISKET, PORK GALBI, and THINLY SLICED PORK BELLY. You get one bowl of rice per order of meat dish. You have to pay extra for any extra bowls of rice. The meal was good each time we come! 5. Cleanliness - dining area and restrooms are clean. SUMMARY: I do recommend this place for Korean BBQ.
