How I received the chicken sandwich I ordered. Fresh out of the wrapper like this.

Have previously really enjoyed food from here. Will never order again. Placed a pickup order, food wasn't ready when we got there. Staff couldn't find the order right away and had to show them on my phone to get it made. Cashier mumbled the whole time, snapping at us and rolling their eyes like it was a huge inconvenience, just generally rude. Waited another 40 minutes for our food. Staff didn't realize my friend spoke Spanish. Oops. They repeatedly referred to us using homophobic slurs. After all that, once we got our food we were in a hurry and booked it home. A large portion (5 piece chicken and dinner rolls) of our order was entirely missing. The french fries were cold and undercooked. And the kicker, one of our sandwiches was made with moldy bread that had been torn up. We contacted corporate, and was told to expect a further response and resolution. It never came. They provided poor service, used slurs, left food out, and served dangerous food. Never again.

**3.75 - 4.0 stars** I've been drooling over the thought of trying out the Peruvian chicken at Pollo Campero - and I finally got around to trying it out earlier this week for dinner. Ordered a 1/4 chicken and Yucca fries, plus a bottle of water. The chicken was moist, savory, and absolutely delicious! Mouth watering good! The Yucca fries were tasty, hot, and crisp - BUT - they were a tad on the greasy side. If they eliminate the greasiness on the fries - I'd up the rating.

One of the many sauces not offered at the store

Horrible experience! Eight months ago I posted a great review about what it means to eat Pollo Campero. This time I have to post this review to let people know how horrible was my experience at this location last Saturday afternoon. My wife and I went into the store and had to wait for the three teenagers working at the front to stop horse-playing and to make a decision on who will take our order. My wife asked for a 12 piece meal and she was never offer any alternatives or options. She did say that she wanted everything fresh and hot. As we waited for the food, i went to the front and asked the cashier for sauces. She told me that the only sauce available is ketchup and it was on the table. I have had in the past other sauces at other restaurants but I wasn't in the mood to argue (see picture). A few minutes later the food arrived. The chicken wasn't hot so my wife told the girl that had just served it. She called the manager (Jose) a man with 60's glasses and unhappy personality. To our surprise the manager said without talking to her; "you have been BOTHERING us from the moment you came in". He didn't try for a moment to make it better and only wanted to returned us the money. He didn't apologize once or attempted to change the chicken. We drove 16 miles to the store in Sudley Rd to find among other things that: 1. The 12 piece meal was $30.49 and not $31.50. 2.. They have different sauces to accompany your chicken. 3. The receipt has a section where the franchise wants your feedback. The manager at the Elden street location has taken that out. Never again! Do not go to that store

Food was mediocre. Chicken breast was very dry and not tasty at all. Please avoid this place. Pollo Campero is cheap mediocre food.

“This type of fried chicken like I mentioned is different and I prefer this over the traditional extra crispy KFC.”

Chicken caesar wrap- chicken isn't spicy. Seasoned well. Salad was well dressed but not overdressed. Ate the second half the next day and it held up well. The tortilla doesn't get soggy overnight. Some bites were a little salty because cheese isn't evenly distributed. Same goes for chicken- the cross section photo I took looks like too much salad to chicken ratio, but the chicken ended up being on the bottom of the wraps. It comes with extra Caesar dressing but doesn't need it at all. Tortilla is excellent-- great chew. $10 for a giant wrap- great price. Snack wrap- 2 for $5 and it tastes closer to McDonald's OG snack wrap than McDonald's current snack wrap. Chicken is significantly better than McDonald's and great price point. 2 sandwiches with fries is $12.99. Great deal. I have the lowest heat tolerance but I can stand to eat extra hot (albeit sweating). Their Cole slaw on its own is dry but goes so well with sandwiches. The slaw has cilantro so it tastes herby and makes the sandwich more interesting. Also adds a nice crunch. Fries don't hold up well but reheat well and become crispy in an air fryer. Yellow sauce tastes like honey mustard. Big bird sauce tastes like diluted bbq mayo. Service and ambiance- fast casual, friendly.

The food & drinks may not look fancy, but their flavors are satisfying and hit the spot. The meats were seasoned well and you don't need a lot piled onto these small street tacos. They warn you that you'll probably need to order at least two or three tacos for a meal. Food comes out pretty fast, so you can keep on ordering if you have room for more! Fish, pork, chicken, shrimp, beef... they're all good. You can't go wrong. Lots of other options if tacos aren't your thing. Again, Don't expect art on a plate...more like grub on a tray...but also don't expect to go broke after indulging in a good meal. This was an absolutely unexpected delightful experience after another disappointing experience at the expensive peruvian joint across the street. Let's just say, bartaco exceeded expectations after a last-minute change of venue and came through for us with flying colors. Way to go, bartaco Reston! I tried this place out for lunch on a rare outing without my wife and when the craving for cart style meat over rice struck. The restaurant was completely empty during peak lunch hours, which did not bode well. I nonetheless proceeded and ordered a combo chicken/lamb platter over rice to go. Shah's sauces are solid, and I appreciate that the white sauce is not gloppy or sweet like some other competitors' and that the red sauce is appropriately piquant. They also offer a mild but flavorful green sauce which adds some fresh notes. Those sauces are needed as the chicken, lamb, and rice are unremarkable. The chicken possessed a decent flavor from a spiced marinade, though the pieces ran a little dry. The lamb cubes tasted like generic gyro and carried little flavor besides salt. The rice itself lacked the fluffy yet al dente texture seen at the best halal places. The proteins did not taste fresh and were served from a steam table rather than off the griddle. Still, the overall eating experience felt reasonably enjoyable due to the flavor of the sauces carrying the weight of the platter. The guy who took and assembled my order was very nice, though forgot to include pita bread in my order. I paid about $13 for the meal, and the portion was generous. As such, Shah's is a competent but unremarkable halal platter spot. I would not go out of my way to eat here, but if it's the closest place to you for this type of food it's a fine option.

The menu is what I would consider a pretty traditional Halal "food truck" menu (I'm from the NYC/NJ area and there are Halal food trucks on basically every other corner in the city) with a variety of platters (which come with your choice of protein, brown basmati rice and salad), gyros, salads and a few different side orders. I went with the chicken platter which was a healthy serving and I was also able to have additional toppings such as humus; onion and tomato salad and beans added to my liking in addition to selecting sauces to either be added on top of the platter or on the side. The platter was absolutely DELICIOUS! The chicken was cooked and spiced perfectly, the rice was flavorful and just the right texture and all my toppings were fresh! They have only been open for less than a week so they were still working the kinks out from a service and operations standpoint, however, everyone was friendly. I will definitely be adding this restaurant to my rotation for a quick lunch or dinner!
