Overall, I honestly think I probably ordered the wrong thing but the chicken sandwich and papas bravas were ok. Vibe inside was quiet, but a weekday, and felt like lunch counter situation, so if on a date, I'd recommend ordering food then going next door to Up North Surf Club. Back to the sando.. to each their own. It has potato salad on it, which is kind of unique, to me kind of leftover Sunday sandwich vibe. The breading was perfectly crispy, but a flaky crust I personally feel better paired to fish than chicken or pork (assuming they use the same batter for the pork loin). Potatoes were ok, but not remarkable. Spices were right, but just didn't sing for me. Service was nice enough. I did like the aioli as a dipping side for the taters. We started with the radicchio salad, which I really loved - it wasn't overly bitter (like radicchio can sometimes be) and the croutons were small crumbles, so you don't feel like you're going to break a tooth biting into them. ;) Decent chicken sandwich- crispy breading and tender filet. They do however, put potato salad on their chicken sandwich, which I did not care for. The potato salad was decent (once I scraped it off my sandwich), I just thought it detracted from the sandwich. The sandwich could instead use something that contrasted with the fried chicken, like some sort of pickle or similar. It should also be noted that if you want to sit at the tables on the street (which belong to the neighboring business), you need to buy a drink from them. Will definitely be ordering again. I ordered half a chicken, potato wedges, and almond cookie. Everything was great. Def recommend the bone broth and garlic aioli as sauces. Wasn't a fan of their salad and other sauces the previous times I ordered. Today's order was perfect for me. As for dessert, this was my first time ordering the cookie and I'm so glad I caved. I've went here since it was back in Pine State Market. I liked it a lot but it was always too far away for me to visit again. Working a bit closer now I've ordered them through delivery a few times and it's just as I remember it. Chicken - grilled, flavored, juicy + pick a sauce that sounds good. I always get the green goddess (herbed ranch), it is by far one of the best damn sauces out there. Not to mention the fact that this is one of the best grilled chickens in Portland, possibly the US? It's just so juicy, tender and flavorful. It's not cheap going for $36 ($19 for half and $10 for quarter). I rarely spend lavishly on meals or even chicken. Is it worth the price? Totally if you can budget for it. Their potatoes are like potato wedges. Good seasoning, good crisp to it. Pick a sauce for that as well. Not the best in the world but they work so well with the chicken. Their Radicchio salad is light, fresh and tasty, although the taste may not be for everyone. Stopped in for a late lunch and grabbed a whole chicken, a large order of potato bravas and rotisserie cauliflower. It was all delicious! The chicken comes broken down for easy sharing. It was very moist and had a great flavor. The potato. Wedges were crispy and had a nice spice level. The cauliflower was amazing! It's served with fried escabeche, chili oil and green goddess. If you like fried cauliflower you've got to give this a try. Besides the green goddess we also tried their fermented hot sauce and a garlic mayo aioli - both great and all 3 sauces went well with everything. They've got limited indoor seating and outdoor seating. We've already decided to make this restaurant part of our regular rotation. read more

We were thinking about getting the winer winer chicken dinner or half bird, and our eyes were bigger than the stomach so we ordered half chicken and big fries for our dinner, so we could have leftover chicken for later. We ordered the food at the counter and then cashier gave us a number to put on our table. It was mouth watering chicken I enjoyed eating with friends. The location was easy to find. I was so excited to try this place, but sorely disappointed. I ordered the chicken with potatoes. The chicken was a bit dry. Frankly, it seemed as if it was just reheated. Perhaps, if you got a fresh baked chicken it would be juicy. Husband ordered the pork sandwich. Not very good either. One of the more disappointing food experiences of my Portland trip. I got the "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner" which consisted a quarter bird and radicchio salad. The woman taking my order recommended their romesco sauce, since it was their most popular. Food came out pretty quickly. The chicken itself was pretty dry and tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. The skin didn't have the crispiness that many other reviewers have written about. The romesco sauce was just okay. I did really enjoy the radicchio salad though. The olives and garlic bread crumbs were the best part. Pollo Bravo is a great chicken spot in Pine Street Market. My friend and I decided to check out Pollo Bravo since it an eatery that we hadn't tried before. We ordered the quarter chicken, which included two chicken pieces, a drumstick and a breast and one sauce of our choice. We chose the romesco sauce, which is an almond red pepper sauce. Our chicken was juicy and flavorful, and went well with the creamy romesco sauce. I would say a quarter chicken is good for one person if you're not eating anything else, but was great for sharing since we were trying other food items in the market. Pollo Bravo is known for their chicken, so that's what to get here. We enjoyed our chicken and I recommend for anyone who likes a good ol' rotisserie chicken. There's a simple bar and a few high top tables where you can order food. The bartenders are very friendly here and were pleasant to interact with. I ordered the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner quarter both times. It comes with a radicchio salad, which is very light and has a crispy crouton-like topping on it. The chicken is served rotisserie style and was cooked perfectly both times. I tried the romesco sauce and the green goddess sauce as well as the aioli. The romesco sauce is excellent so definitely keep it in mind if you're ordering any chicken. Prices are fair. I paid around $12 for the chicken and the salad. I'd come back! read more

I ordered the Winner Winner Dinner, which comes with a generous quarter portion of roasted chicken, a radicchio salad, and a sauce of your choice -- all for only $12! It was enough to feed me and one hungry toddler who loves xhixke. The chicken was juicy, with a perfectly crisp skin, and even the breast meat was good and not dry (I'm normally a dark meat girl all the way). I got the Green Goddess sauce on the suds, which was described as an "herbaceous ranch ," but tasted a little fishy for me (I'm pretty sure there was anchovies in there). I think I'd pass and get the hot sauce or garlic mayo aioli next time. Normally the side salad isn't anything to write home about, but I loved how crunchy, fresh and bright tasting it was. The radicchio perfectly complemented the heavier chicken and it made for a well rounded meal. I noticed you can also opt for the Winner Winner Family Dinner, which comes with an entire bird and is probably a great option for larger groups. The food is well worth the drive no matter how far you come. Start by ordering the chicken and radicchio. The chicken is always bursting with flavor and you can't forget the dipping sauces! The salad that came with the chicken complimented it so well. I've never had this kind of salad before so it was a unique and new experience. It was so crunchy, refreshing and full of textures. In terms of sauces, I got the green goddess which was good. It tasted herbal and light. I would highly recommend the remesco sauce though because it was definitely the best!
