I have spent my free time sewing so many beautiful embroidery projects, pillows, table runners, aprons, bags, tote bags, quilts, purses, sewing bags, and the most beautiful clothing. i started going for ideas for my students to do different types of project in my classroom at Durfee school. Purchasing over 10 different embroidery sewing machine from the creative 2170, Creative Vision, two Passports ! and 2, Creative Sensation 1 and 2, Icon1 and Icon2, Admire Air 5000 and the feltier machine,1000's of designs software and five different computers. I have been attending sewing classes since about 20 years and learned so much not only sewing bust also embroidering. I also attend to the sewing club, every month where you get great tips and information about different tricks of the trade and projects. I even learned how to embroider on leather and made my own Chanel style handbag in embroidered caw hide. read more

I wanted to take up quilting as a hobby but didn't know where to start. My husband gifted me a sewing machine and I signed up for the basic sewing class here. Before taking the class, please know that you should have your own machine in good working order, and how to use the basic functions. If you don't know how to use your machine, you can sign up for a private lesson to learn the ins and outs of it. They email you a supplies list before the class. Wow the class was amazing!! Sheryl was our instructor and she was so knowledgeable and patient with us. We learned how to stitch a basic line, curved lines, how to sew a hem, gather fabric and we even did a zipper! We even learned how to change needles and feet on our machines. The class flew by and by the end, I was ready to start sewing. I would recommend this business for anyone wanting to take on any crafting projects that require sewing. They have additional sewing project classes which I plan to attend in the future. read more

I was looking to take a beginner's sewing class after receiving a sewing machine. Pollard's was AMAZING at teaching you about your machine, about how to thread your machine, basic stitches, & tips/tricks. we were provided a full binder with stitches to practice & different fabric to practice with. it came with detailed information about each stitch & fabric. I would seriously recommend this place 11 out of 10 if you are looking for sewing help! they have more advanced classes & a sewing club as well. can't wait to come back for another class ! read more

The store only caters to the women that buy their $20,000 machines and pay $20 a yard for fabric. I asked about a class and was not given a straight answer blah blah we don't offer that class anymore. Yet on their class schedule there was a new class that one of their favorites asked about. We bought a nice Pfaff machine a few years ago from Pollards. I never learned to sew but got a hair up my booty that I was going to hem a pair of pants. My wife tried to talk me through changing the thread and threading the needle, but alas, I jammed up the machine. I tried to repair but could not and went to Pollards to see if they can repair. I explained to them what I did and the young lady was very sweet and helpful and had my machine back up and running in 5 minutes. She gave me a quick lesson on how to operate, and I went on my merry way. Pollards staff know their stuff which is why we bought our machine from them. Service and support are top notch and they offer a free lesson on how ot operate the machine. I definitely recommend if you're in the need of a quality sewing machine. read more

When I call to ask some stupid question, they never make me feel like I should have known the answer. I purchased my first "grownup" sewing machines from Pollard's when they were in their old location. Jenny and the rest of the staff are so knowledgeable! Jenny did not give any high-pressure sales pitches and really took the time to listen to what I needed. I was so impressed that I brought my mom back and she purchased a machine, too! They have two stores, Arcadia and Glendora;both are great. I have bought Viking and Pfaff machines from them. It included free lessons. Bought embroidery software from them with free lessons. Offer additional sewing and embroidery lessons that are project based (price is not high). Are always willing to answer questions. Repairs are done in Glendora. This a family owned business which a high quality of service. read more

I went to this store to have a machine repair, the clerk knew nothing about the schedule of her manager and when the machine would be picked up and taken to their other store for repairs. She claimed that it was a 3-4 week wait to have the machine even looked at and that she could not tell me when and if it would be ready before at least a month. That they had a backlog of machines to repair. (I took my machine to another repair shop Pasadena Vacuum & Sewing they would have it ready in about a week and the tech told me right then and their what the problem was and the cost to repair.) Glad I did not leave it at Pollard's...The owner of Pollard's called me and was condecending and made negative remarks about the owner of the other Sewing Center, I was taken back that she would bad-mouth another store owner. Do not use this Store. I will not return to Pollard's Sewing Creative just because of their attitude and their backlog. read more

On March 9, 2013 I took my sewing machine in to be fixed. The ticket I received stated machine not sewing call when you find out what the problem is. The week of March17, 2013 I phoned to find out what was happening with my sewing machine, that same week they phoned my house and my husband told them to contact me before they do any work on the sewing ;maching, I called them back the same day and left a message. On March 22, 2013 I received a bill in my work email for $125.00, I was told that was for cleaning my machine and repaired wire and brushes, when I told them that I did not ask them to clean my machine I was told that they were not going to clean the machine for free and I have to pay the $125.00 if I wanted my machine back. The attitude of the people who work there is horrible. read more
