The class was scheduled for 2 hours. We ended an hour early with an end product that was a bit underwhelming. Our instructor was friendly enough, though never introduced herself nor took the time to ask the class (all 3 of us) our names. I wrote a letter to the owner and never got a response back. Highly unlikely I will return. Below is the letter I sent, including a few other underwhelming aspects to the class: "Hello! I took last evening's Macrame Weaving workshop. As I was driving back to Long Beach last evening after the class, I had some time to reflect on the workshop. I signed up for it to learn a new skill that I could potentially teach my students. (I've been an Art Teacher for many years). Unfortunately, I feel very disappointed with the class as a whole, as well as with our end result product. I believe the owner was there last evening; I regret not having pulled her aside to chat, though I wasn't quite clear on how I felt about the class until I was on my ride home. Our instructor was very friendly and I so appreciate the use of the high quality organic cotton cord. I also appreciated the hand out with the images of various knot styles. However, I don't even know what our instructor's name was. She never introduced herself or asked our names - there were only two other participants besides myself. We ended class nearly an hour early. This feels like a waste of project making and learning time. Either the project we did was too simple or our instructor wasn't thoroughly prepared. Her instruction was okay, though I don't think it is very helpful to physically do something for the student which she did a number of times. I believe it is more helpful to walk them through it verbally while allowing them to do it to experience the motions and acquire muscle memory. Craft is a great space! I wanted to share my thoughts because I think the class I took last evening could be improved upon for future students. Thank you for reading, Ivette"

We registered 5 weeks summer camp mainly in Pasadena, but it started a week after summer vacation so we had to find something for them and Thank God! Yes, it was the answer. Even my son who didn't want to go to the "Craft Class" just loved the full week. They provided all materials, snacks and games with very good price. We highly recommend people who live in local area just check this place out. They have fun things for kids and adults as well.

This place is an absolute gem. Great location, easy parking, and the kind of shop you can happily…read morespend way more time in than you planned. The inventory is incredible--eclectic, unique, and full of beautiful beads, materials, and everything you could possibly need for jewelry-making. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking for something specific, they have it all--beads, string, findings, and so many inspiring options you won't see just anywhere. What really sets this shop apart, though, is Christina. She is truly the heart of the place. She's warm, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and just an all-around joy to be around. She can help you design something custom, guide you through making it yourself, or even create it for you. And if you need repairs, she's amazing at that too. They also offer classes, which is such a great touch--I took one on making bracelets and it was such a fun experience. What a cool thing to be able to do locally. Honestly, I never thought I'd say this, but I actually look forward to needing repairs--because it means I get to come back and see Christina. She makes every visit feel personal and fun, and you always leave in a better mood than when you walked in. Such a wonderful shop with a truly special owner. Highly recommend checking it out.

Additionally, the shop has an incredible variety of beads, pendants, findings, books and just about anything you need to make jewelry. Whether you're a novice or super experienced, you're sure to feel welcomed here. P. S. Gold plated and gold filled items are available for purchase (yay!)

What a wonderful place to donate and find crafting treasures. Remainders is a craft thrift store…read moreand the only one I'm aware of that functions like this. I wish there were similar stores in San Diego as well. It feels like it would be difficult to find a specific thing that you had in mind, but if you're open to being inspired by what's about, this is an excellent place to start. I bought a number of (older) crafty books for $1 a piece and am looking forward to exploring them all.

Beware: Rude staffers with atrocious customer service skills and manners…read more My Experience: At the checkout counter one young staffer was yelling over my shoulder at patrons in the store: "You ALL need to stop shopping and get in line!" I pulled out my phone and time said 5:53 pm and the store closes at 6pm. Maybe if the staff shopped at a TJMaxx or a Target they would learn how to make the announcement with much more finesse. I did see a few women in the store do exactly as she asked...they stopped shopping, left their baskets full of items, and walked out. As I was headed out I was in a conversation with another employee as one customer was still paying. Next thing I know behind me another employee grabbed me by my shoulder to usher me out because she had to "lock the door now." Rule #1. Don't ever, ever touch a customer. I calmly left thinking I would never hire these employees...but I would recommended them to a competitor. I did not realize Remainders operates as a non-profit organization that doesn't need customers or revenue. I will patronize other small businesses and donate our corporate items to them instead.

I had a fun experience at my first rug tufting here! Located within the Atlantic blvd plaza so…read moreunderground parking is easy. The spot looks a little small, but they have private back rooms to work on your rugs. One of the hardest parts for us was having a design ready! That maybe took an hour lol I would come with multiple designs in mind and to make sure the color blocking is larger, especially for your first time. After we chose our design, we got a lesson on how to use the tufting guns and especially the safety of how to hold them because the needle is quite sharp. We were then set up with our rugs, and got underway. You trace your design with markers first with a projection. When you start tufting, the key is to have a steady hand, try as best to evenly space your rug lines as you go and keep a good pace, and only doing one color at a time. After this they will show you how to save down your rug and then will add the backing for you because the glue/iron is very hot. This spot was conveniently located to grab drinks and snacks at nearby businesses. Overall a really fn experience and Iove seeing my new rug everyday!

I have not tried out their tufting services. Their hours posted on Yelp isn't really accurate…read moreeither depending on their tufting appointments or if they need to stock the store when shipment comes in. Staff said it's best if you come after 1:30pm on weekdays to ensure their store being open. Weekends are pretty much just open. I come here to check out what Pop Mart items they have in stock. They also carry limited Labubu clothing. They have select figurines on display for trading at the front where you pay. This is great if you happened to open duplicates from Pop Mart. Staff said they don't refill display boxes to avoid customers getting duplicates unlike Pop Mart stores themselves. Their requirements for trading is that you may not trade a figurine/item if display already has the same item. They don't want duplicates in their trading case. You must bring the card that came in the box with it and trade has to be from the same series. Or if you see something on display you actually like but still want to try your luck like myself. Purchase a blind box and hope you get one you like, if not trade it with the display if there aren't any duplicates! You may also purchase display items (same price as blind box). Their prices are same as Pop Mart.
