The class was scheduled for 2 hours. We ended an hour early with an end product that was a bit underwhelming. Our instructor was friendly enough, though never introduced herself nor took the time to ask the class (all 3 of us) our names. I wrote a letter to the owner and never got a response back. Highly unlikely I will return. Below is the letter I sent, including a few other underwhelming aspects to the class: "Hello! I took last evening's Macrame Weaving workshop. As I was driving back to Long Beach last evening after the class, I had some time to reflect on the workshop. I signed up for it to learn a new skill that I could potentially teach my students. (I've been an Art Teacher for many years). Unfortunately, I feel very disappointed with the class as a whole, as well as with our end result product. I believe the owner was there last evening; I regret not having pulled her aside to chat, though I wasn't quite clear on how I felt about the class until I was on my ride home. Our instructor was very friendly and I so appreciate the use of the high quality organic cotton cord. I also appreciated the hand out with the images of various knot styles. However, I don't even know what our instructor's name was. She never introduced herself or asked our names - there were only two other participants besides myself. We ended class nearly an hour early. This feels like a waste of project making and learning time. Either the project we did was too simple or our instructor wasn't thoroughly prepared. Her instruction was okay, though I don't think it is very helpful to physically do something for the student which she did a number of times. I believe it is more helpful to walk them through it verbally while allowing them to do it to experience the motions and acquire muscle memory. Craft is a great space! We registered 5 weeks summer camp mainly in Pasadena, but it started a week after summer vacation so we had to find something for them and Thank God! Yes, it was the answer. Even my son who didn't want to go to the "Craft Class" just loved the full week. They provided all materials, snacks and games with very good price. We highly recommend people who live in local area just check this place out. They have fun things for kids and adults as well.

Most of the other locations do not have staff around, but maybe since this location is at the mall, they had one staff member maintaining the store, but didn't really interact much with the guests. For anyone unfamiliar, Life4Cuts is a photobooth store where you can come and take photobooth photos. It's mostly self served. This location has booths: pink, purple and blue. They had their props more organized than other locations since there is a staff on site, but there wasn't any props that my niece and I wanted to use. So my niece has been on the prowl for a labubu and I managed to snatch one up for her, so we had an unboxing and then took her new lababu to take a photobooth pic. She got the secret one from the Have A Seat collection, DuoDuo. Super stoked LOL. So anyways, we went the pink booth since the purple one was taken. The pink does not show up well in pictures so in the future I would probably go with purple or blue. You can get 2 long strips for $8 or a 1x4 strip and a 2x2 for $10. The booth had a decent amount of frames to choose from. There is an option for a QR code to provide a digital copy of the photobooth pics. Luckily there was a retake option at the end since we weren't in love with our first batch of photos. The second time turned out great and the system allowed for us to select which 4 out of 8 we wanted. My niece and I love photobooths so we really enjoy these opportunities. There's a huge selection of unlimited charms and icing colors to choose from. But warning!! Don't grab too many charms because whatever you don't use, you have to put it back. The table stations have all the tools you need to decorate your items from tweezers, glue, scissors, etc. The employees are super sweet. They showed us a demo and assisted us in putting our charms back. The parking was easy and cheap. There's a del mar parking lot right around the corner across the street from the gas station. I had a fun experience at my first rug tufting here! Located within the Atlantic blvd plaza so…read moreunderground parking is easy. The spot looks a little small, but they have private back rooms to work on your rugs. One of the hardest parts for us was having a design ready! That maybe took an hour lol I would come with multiple designs in mind and to make sure the color blocking is larger, especially for your first time. After we chose our design, we got a lesson on how to use the tufting guns and especially the safety of how to hold them because the needle is quite sharp. We were then set up with our rugs, and got underway. You trace your design with markers first with a projection. When you start tufting, the key is to have a steady hand, try as best to evenly space your rug lines as you go and keep a good pace, and only doing one color at a time. After this they will show you how to save down your rug and then will add the backing for you because the glue/iron is very hot. We decided on the small rug which was $98. Once we got there we were greeted by the worker and waited a few minutes for them to set up our tufting stations. Remember to bring your design on your phone to show them! The worker was really nice, he guided us throughout the whole process. He demonstrated how to properly used the tufting gun and his tips to remember when using it. First, they project your design on the canvas for you to trace. After, you start the tufting process which took a long timee. My hands would cramp up and my back got tired from standing. They do have chairs for you to sit on but I found it was harder for me to put enough pressure on the canvas when I sat down lol. I think they have a good selection of primary colored yarns to choose from, but I think they could have more shades of colors. This part took the longest! I was worried that we wouldn't finish in our appointment time which was 3-6pm but they were very lenient and said we could take as long as we want or even come back another time to finish it. So we ended up staying till 3-9pm. Once you are satisfied with it the worker showed us how to cut and shave the rug for the final product!
