Very concerned about getting it right when there are specific photo and procedural requirements - in my case, photo for Canadian PR application. I was invited to submit a PR application to Canada after sitting on the wait list for 5 years (sponsored by my daughter). I was given a short window to get everything in and have been working with a Canadian immigration consultant to make sure everything is done correctly. She gave me the exact (complicated) photo specs. I took them to two other places - another photography studio in Koreatown that advertises for immigration photos, and Walgreens, which says they use a computer program that has the requirements for all immigration situations. Neither place would even look at the sheet of specs I supplied (from my consultant), claiming they "knew" what to do. Both of the other places took photos that did not meet the specs for Canadian PR, and did not satisfactorily resolve the problems with the photos. After having paid for both and having both photos and supporting documentation rejected by my consultant, and with time drawing short, I was pretty frustrated. I decided to try Image Photography because they had another review that mentioned photos for Canadian passport (different purpose but I guessed it might have similar requirements). As I entered the studio, I was immediately treated with respect. The person at the counter (photographer) looked at my sheet and pointed out the differences between the Permanent Residency application vs the Temporary Residency requirement in Canada - in other words, he knew his stuff. Both the photos and the additional documention required by Canada to validate the photos were completed quickly and completely in accordance with the requirements. I can breathe again. I would definitely recommend this place for photos related to immigration, visas, etc. for other countries. read more

I was planning to go on vacation either later this year or early next year. My original destination was Las Vegas, but I may go out of this country and maybe go to Bankok. My brother got his passport in 2007 and flew to Japan that year for vacation. He got his passport photo at CVS for $6.99 in 2007. I called today at CVS and Walgreens, they're now charging $16.99 for passport photo's. I decided to call this place, because it got so many positive reviews. Image Passport Photo quoted me $25 for a passport photo. So for those of you, thinking this place is much better than CVS or Walgreens, you're sadly mistaken. I'm guessing all the positive reviews of this business are actually friends and family of the business owner. The reviews here are probably lies. I'm going to CVS to get my passport photos, and I know it takes about 12 weeks to get your passport ready, so I'm planning early. read more

This place is great. They have a photo studio with lights set up. I had my passport photo taken today after being scared by my own mortality when I saw the photo they took at CVS. Yes, time continues marching on, cruelly indifferent to how effortless my last passport photo was, but the lighting here didn't push my nose into the puddle of my impending demise like CVS's cruel halogen harpies punishing an incontinent dog. I only waited ten minutes for the prints and they gave me a bunch so I can slip the extras into library books to freak people out when they read Marlon James novels. They took a few photos with a nice pro camera. And the photographer was really nice about how weird my face ticks when I'm getting my photo taken. He picked the best one to print out I think. I really enjoyed and appreciated the fast service during my lunch hour. I knew that things would be tricky bc Yoshinoya is a few doors down and the parking lot is on the smaller side. I came in around 12:20pm on a weekday and was fortunate enough to find a parking spot. Don't come if you are stressed out bc everyone here drives erratically so patience is a must. It took about 20mins to take my photos and have them printed. They seemed pretty busy, but there were two employees helping out. I paid $15 for my passport photos and was out the door with photos in hand. Great photos by the way. They are truly knowledgeable about how to take the photos which was a plus. I do not want my passport application to be rejected over a photograph. I was truly dreading this experience but I am so happy I came here. My application renewal is finally done and sent. Cool local print shop and photo lab. I've used this place a few times and never really thought to write a review. Got a funeral service photo enlargement and retouching and even took a passport photo for my renewal. I used the request a quote option and they responded in 5 minutes - this was easier for me than calling. The guys that run this are super laidback and know what they're doing. They don't upcharge you like a lot of other places in Glendale. I thought passport pics were like dmv pictures, but these guys were patient and skilled enough to make it look like a headshot! read more
