I had some catalogues printed for work. A+ quality and super helpful service. I got an email when they were ready for pickup and it was contactless and they wore masks. Thanks, guru! read more

One Star and Eight Ruined Foam Boards I'm someone who has worked with print shops for many years, so I couldn't just ignore this experience with Guru Print. I'm not the type to leave reviews or rate other people's work -- but, as they say, there's a first time for everything. And this is exactly that case. Because what I encountered here was not work, and not professionalism, but a careless, dismissive attitude toward a client's work -- combined with an apparent inability (or unwillingness) to spend even two minutes making sure the final result looks even remotely acceptable. -1 star: The website and file upload circus The print shop initially caught my attention thanks to its strong good rating and a fairly decent-looking website. After carefully reviewing the file submission requirements, I was genuinely pleased to see that everything could be done remotely -- quick, convenient, and hassle-free. Or so it seemed. I followed all stated requirements precisely: CMYK profile, PDF format, files up to 200 MB. That's when the fun began. The website simply refused to accept the files -- freezing, throwing errors, and effectively telling me to figure it out myself. After some time, it became clear that the advertised 200 MB limit does not actually exist. In reality, the system only accepts files significantly smaller than that -- something conveniently not mentioned anywhere. After nearly an hour of wrestling with PDFs, compressing files from 180 MB down to 50-80 MB each, I found myself literally hoping and praying that each upload would make it into the paid online cart. -1 star: Communication (or lack thereof) Client communication deserves a separate mention. I'm not a fluent English speaker, and phone calls already come with a certain level of stress -- because the outcome depends not only on my language skills, but also on a basic level of patience and courtesy from the person on the other end. After submitting the files and waiting a reasonable amount of time (about two to three hours), I called with a very simple question: when will my boards be ready, and when can I pick them up? Since I paid extra for same-day printing, I only needed to know when I should get in the car and drive over. The response? Rude, unhelpful, and completely uninformed. The person on the phone didn't know my order number and, frankly, seemed to know nothing at all. The only thing I got out of that call was: "You'll get an email when it's ready," along with a noticeable dose of irritation. As a result, I ended up sitting in my car near the printing office, waiting -- because if that email had arrived an hour and a half before closing, I simply wouldn't have made it in time. -1 star: Finding the place The establishment has no sign, no plaque, no indication whatsoever that a print shop exists in the building. I understand this is a production facility, not a showroom -- but a small sign by the door, or even a basic written instruction on how to find the place, would've gone a long way. Consider it a courtesy to your clients. Nothing more. Instead, I had to wait outside until someone exited the building just to get in. Then I walked into a tattoo shop (which, by the way, had no trouble putting up a clear sign). The tattoo shop staff kindly pointed me to an unmarked, anonymous door -- behind which, apparently, Guru Print was hiding all along. -1 star: The final result Finally, I picked up my boards and felt a moment of relief. I honestly thought the final result would be so good that it would make everything else fade into the past. That illusion lasted about five seconds. I opened the first board and immediately noticed that the gray color had a strong green tint. I was in a rush, and there was no time to stand by my car unwrapping all eight boards -- let alone start a reprint. The boards were supposed to be displayed the very next morning at an event in another city. That's exactly why I chose extra for same-day printing. The entire drive home I kept wondering what I had done wrong -- the layout, the color, the color profile. Surely it must have been my mistake It wasn't Once home, I unpacked the remaining boards and realized the situation was even worse. Some of the supposedly black-and-white boards had turned purple, others blue, and the rest green. Same settings. Same color profiles. Completely different results. To make matters worse, some boards were cut so poorly it looked like they'd been chewed up by dull scissors in the dark. That's how this story ended I genuinely don't understand how this place has so many positive reviews. I hope mine stands out from the sea of praise and gives potential customers at least a moment of pause. If you care about your work -- and if the final result matters to you -- I would strongly recommend staying away from this place. read more

Guru Printers should be everyone's go-to print shop in Los Angeles. It is a family-owned business, producing top-quality work for many of our favorite vendors and business all throughout LA. I have worked with Guru Printers professionally as a graphic designer for a restaurant chain, working with Guru to print collateral from menus to stickers to large sandwich board signs. They are organized, made each task enjoyable, and consistently have the projects ready on time, if not early. I also am a regular client for personal projects. I recently had my wedding Invitations, RSVPs, Table Assignment Sign & Menus printed by Guru and the paper+laminate received so many compliments. Guru can print on large-format paper, mount prints on foam board, they do stickers/labels on sheets or on rolls, and have great laminates to choose from. I would trust no one else! read more

Highly recommended print shop. Expert care for poster printing, especially wheat paste. We also printed some roll labels through them and were highly satisfied with quality and value. read more

Our company ROKKET Immunity Boost was looking to work with a local printer who had a quick turnaround. We were fortunate to find the Guru Printers. Not only was their staff extremely helpful when we submitted our artwork files, but they give us additional advise for future print work. The turn around was next day, and the quality... perfect. I would totally recommend their print shop for large and small runs. read more

This is my third time ordering from this business and they get it right every single time. Their website is easy to use and they offer many different kinds of services. If you can't find what you're looking for, reach out to them! Their customer service is fast and reliable and they really try to work with you so you end up with the perfect product whether it's wedding signage, custom thank-you cards, or photo enlargements (things we've ordered from them). So happy to have found this local business! read more

Both times I ordered prints here they messed up the prints and then blamed me (which is why I went back a second time, thinking I was the one who made the mistake the first time.) For both orders I followed their instructions to a tee, using the exact templates and instructions for bleed, crop lines, safety etc... And both were printed incorrectly, off-center, with white on borders. They clearly don't take the time to even look at your design size or crop lines but just feed the machine and give you whatever comes out. No matter how clearly you communicate to them that you did everything correct they'll just keep coming back saying "that's just how it prints" and then offer some meager discount on the pile of ugly prints you just picked up. read more

Guru Printers will have my business as long as I need printing done! I have always been 100% happy with my orders (I've done stickers many times with them and a large poster) and their customer service is unparalleled in the industry. They are extremely helpful and knowledgable when I've ordered and are quick with turnaround times. Normally, I prefer to pickup at the Arts District as they run the orders out to your car (they also do this at the Flower location but I like pulling up right out front of the Arts building)... however, this last time, I needed the stickers after they had shut down by order of the City of LA for COVID-19. After explaining why I needed the stickers immediately, Dan drove up from Orange County to do a no contact drop-off at my home! This small business deserves every bit of support and love they get!!! read more

Wonderful local company with reasonable printing prices! I needed a research poster printed for a conference and was unable to find a printer last minute that was not charging an arm and a leg. They were able to print the poster the very next business day and packaged it perfectly for travel. I would highly recommend them and will be using them in the future :) read more

Needed to print out some posters for a baby shower and came across Guru Printers. I sent them an email inquiry over the weekend thinking it would be a few days before I heard back and I ended up hearing back within an hour. They were extremely easy to work with, and let me send my PDF prints to them right away. I paid online and my order was available for pickup the next day. Due to Covid, you simply drive by and they bring out your order to your car. It was was one of the easiest transactions and they provided me with exactly what I needed. Highly recommend Guru Printing!!! I recently was in a pinch and needed some contour cut vinyl decals made for a personal project and not only did Guru respond quickly to my quote inquiry, customer service was top notch and it was SUCH a quick turnaround! I have been using Guru in the last year to print some vinyl decal signage that can go on walls/glass etc for art exhibits in our gallery exhibit space. The folks at Guru are here for those like me with small businesses and often are teams of 1. As with any small businesses, we are used to dealing with multiple projects and tasks at the same time and overall demanding workloads and lives. I need to give a big shoutout to Guru because they seem to operate on supporting those who are often operating on tight timelines. We happened to miss our Friday pickup and we were able to reach them at an off hour. Guru helped us out a great deal by showing up on the weekend when they are closed so we could pickup our signage in time for our exhibit reception event. This was not a small thing to be accommodates by the team at Guru, who went above and beyond in getting someone to the office on their day off to make sure we could get our signage in time. Having the signage is a big deal and it will make our donors feel special and they in turn, will know we went the extra mile to acknowledge them. Guru understands the importance of what it takes to be doing business in LA. I have worked with many printers in LA area and none who went beyond what was expected. Not to mention the exceptional quality of the work and ease of getting a project to completion. This is as good as it gets! read more

One of the best business's I've ever dealt with. From their email communication to efficiency and more... Ardy at the arts district location is an absolute legend. Always pulls off what I need with not a lot of time. Great family run business with competitive pricing... read more

Sometimes you need something printed for work and you need to make a bunch of calls to make sure you are dealing with people who know what they're doing and what questions to ask you (especially if you don't do it very often). If this sounds like you, look no further (but do your due diligence if it's not your money) than Guru Printing Services. It opened 5 months ago in the Arts District (just east of Little Tokyo) and their customer service/contact and delivery time (4-6 business days for several thousand folded, color brochures) were exceptional. I dealt with Adry and Ed, who were very patient and helpful in making sure I had exactly the product that I wanted. Be sure to ask for a "proof" during the online order process. It's only a few bucks (not a cash grab) and worth it. Tip: Call ahead to pick up your orders. Parking in the Arts District (especially with nearby construction) is a challenge (and the city is always happy to dole out parking tickets), but they will have someone help you at the loading zone and get out in time. read more

I had some last minute posters I needed to print for my wedding and the local Office Depot wasn't able to fulfill my order due to a matte paper shortage. I found Guru Printers on Yelp and decided to put in an order with them and I am so happy that I did. Their customer service was superb as they reached out to me FIRST to double check the sizing of the posters and were so kind to accommodate me with a particular size that I wasn't sure was available. Turnaround time was super quick and the finished posters look great! Their prices are better than other big name office supply stores that offers printing services as well. I highly recommend this business and am looking forward to working with them again! read more

Ardy worked with me very closely to produce samples on some complicated vinyl prints - he really tried, and came through, to realize what our project needed. The final came out beautiful. He also reprinted very quickly a project that had some unexpected marks on them, with the end results being perfect. I will definitely be working with Guru again! read more

Great stickers at a great price & speed! After looking with many print companies in the LA area, Guru was one of the most affordable and certainly the one with the quickest turnaround time. The quality came out wonderful, colors were accurate, and the dye cut stickers were perfectly cut. In addition, the workers were very helpful in picking out the best sticker/paper type and were very responsive during the entire process. Thank you so much! read more
