THE SCAM: Placed an order for some post cards, they said it will take 5-7 days but if I want to pay an extra 100$ for next day pick up that I can. I said no of course, They were made in 2 days so I don't know why they are misleading their customers into spending more money for "fast services". That's a scam. . HORRIBLE SERVICES: I explained before coming that it will take me 1hr to get there the day of. I got there and they were made in the wrong size. mind you, I spoke through the phone about the size and quantity and even emailed the size and quantity of the postcards and on the invoice it clearly said the size and quantity that I ordered. So I get there and they were made wrong! Drove 1hr to get there and they were made wrong. They said they can fix the order and it will be ready in 2hrs. That brings me back to the scam where they offered faster services for 100$ more when really they can make them in a couple of hours. So I come back after a couple of hours to get the ones that were remade and they tried selling me the ones they made in the wrong size. And I said no. I believe they made those wrong purposely to try making more sales. And they disregarded my time as a customer and tried scamming with fees for faster services. I did my research and they sold 7x5 post cards for 29cents each which is pretty pricey considering I got 500 of them. For 500 post cards you can get them for 16cents-19cents a card. I highly recommend to avoid this place or at least do your research before going there and say no their scam which is 100$ more for next day pick up. read more

Horrible printing quality. Came in and wasted money on printing my logo onto stickers. Was excited to pick it up since it was done within the next business day and was not satisfied whatsoever with the quality. When I voiced my concerns about the quality of the print being faded and grainy the person at the front assisting me simply said that's how the printer read the image and there was nothing else they can do. Wow! My business cards came out great! The logo I sent in came out crisp and clear. The staff was good at sending proofs back and forth until we got all the details right. I went with a matte finish and rounded corners. A few years ago I went with a do it yourself online company and you can't even compare. I ordered online on a friday for next business day printing and overnight shipping. There was no follow up. I called Monday and was told I would receive a call back. Nothing. I called back on Tuesday and was finally told they had never received the print files, even though I sent them to the owner. I then had to reforward to the company. I would never order online again. It's not run like a big, professional online printing service. So, in the end, I paid full price for fast turnaround and ended up getting something printed 2-3 days late. read more

I had posted on Facebook and a couple friends recommended their business so I went on ahead and contacted them. Lucy from the start was very helpful in emailing to directing me to where their shop is to the invoice - EVERYTHING. Super super helpful and friendly! As well as her companion (wish I caught his name) but he was also a big help with measurements for the poster. I went in today submitted my files at 10:30am and they told me it would be done today before they close which AMAAAAAAAAZED ME because every other place would be 3 business days minimum. Also a helpful tip! PAY CASH and avoid tax. Lol that was another thing that blew my mind that there was no tax and overall, my business will only be taken here from now on. Worst customer service so far from the 5 companies I've called. Someone suggested I check this place out for our companies go-to printing place. Wow. Could not believe the quote they gave me. I was calling around for quotes, this was by far the most expensive by more than $100. When I asked where that number came from, the person said "that's just the price". I asked how that pricing was broken down and they wouldn't tell me right away. Finally I found out that I was asking for a rush order so they tacked on $50 for a 3 day turnaround. I understand it's a "rush" order but wow $50? Their website says 3-5 days turnaround, and when I asked for 3 day turnaround, they tacked on $50 because it wasn't guaranteed. So they can't guarantee the turnaround but they still charge the $50. wtf. "Sometime next week" they said. When I told them they were the most expensive they said "oh well if you found it for cheaper, I would jump on that"....they didn't even try. They didn't ask my name, my company, what I was printing...they just wanted to know how much money they were willing to squeeze out of us. Bad form. These guys are not ready for corporate accounts it seems. Perhaps they don't understand the needs of the companies around them quite yet. Someone wake them up. read more

dont go to dtla print they are scammers they quote you a price over the phone, print your product and then double charge you once they tell you to pick up your order in person. their system and staff are so incompetent they have no order and send you multiple invoices for one product. i came to pick up my order that cheri quoted me $44 for a double sided 1000 count business cards. not only did it take forever for the order, no one ever called to update me, then once in person they said i had a balance of double what i originally paid. listen dtla i get that business is tight, but dont try to take advantage of the customers you do have. i have multiple business and you would have mafe much more money with me in the future. scammers scammers scammers. now i have to go to another company and wait for another order of cards they even changed their yelp name to escape the bad reviews! read more

They do a great job with printing flyers, postcards, etc. For one event, we wanted to print 1000 postcards and we paid around $136. I think we must have actually gotten like 10,000 postcards. Not to exaggerate, but we had gotten a lot more postcards then we had ordered, which was fantastic in helping us get the word out about our conference. Recently, I also had gotten flyers (8 1/2 x 11) printed by them for another event, and they came out beautifully. Whenever I called/emailed, I got a quick response from Victor. He was great in sending us an invoice and answering questions about quotes, paper quality, and prices. I highly recommend this place... Ordered 250 business on Monday, emailed logos and gave deposit for a pretty easy standard job, it was a next day job, but they told me Thursday I imagine for setup. Wednesday I got two proofs that weren't to my liking, I emailed them back, and basically got no response, I emailed Thursday morning what's going on? no response. So I called, the girl answering was just finger pointing and talking over me. So I went and got my deposit 10 dollars short as she neglected to email me an invoice or give me a receipt. All in all pretty bullshit service and designs. Beware, I'm guessing the good reviews are from friends and fam as they contain no details, yet multiple reviews detailing the same issues. Wtf guys obviously you are a bunch of morons, my fault. Don't make my mistake on these amateurs. Read the other real reviews before choosing them. read more

I am posting this review both here and under "Downtown LA Printer" as the company is one and the same, according to their own website. Avoid at all Costs! On Thursday I got a last minute invite to Comic-Con from a friend who was paneling there. I decided to go (duh!) and I wanted to have some business cards printed up for my novel to pass out. I spoke with Victor and he told me that as long as I had the pdf to him by 10 am the next day, I'd get them by 6pm. He told me he would call me first thing in the morning. I sent the pdf later that evening. By 9:40am I still hadn't heard from him so I called to make sure he'd gotten the email I'd sent. He said he was looking at it right then and all looked fine. I called back 1-2 minutes later because I realized I had sent him the wrong image for the rear of the card. A woman answered and when I told her I had just sent the right copy, she assured me she'd let Victor know to only use the image labeled "Final Revision." I went at 6pm to get my cards. A few minutes later, Victor walked in with them. From where, I don't know--they clearly do not do the jobs on site. I did a cursory once-over and said thanks and left. As I sat in my car I noticed the very poor quality of the cards. They looked like ones I would make on my printer. Had I wanted that look I could have printed them myself for cheaper. I decided to shell out the $$ for what I *thought* would be higher quality cards. Also, they had been cut with something not entirely sharp, as the edges were blunted, and the cards were not perfect rectangles--there were slight diagonal slopes to the top and bottom. I was unhappy, but since I was leaving the next day, what was I going to do? But then, I noticed that they had printed the wrong back to the card! I went in and they were not in any way surprised. Victor said, "yeah, it was too late to make changes." I said, "It wasn't even 10 am yet, which was the cut off point." His response, "We start jobs the moment you give them to us, so you can't make changes." Me: "Why didn't you tell me that?" V: "Sorry. If it's a big deal you can give them back and we won't charge you." So, I gave the cards back, and I assume I haven't been charged, but the point is, I didn't get my cards! He laughed and smiled the whole time, and though apologized, also said the change was only 3 words so he didn't see what the big deal was. I was stunned. a) If you say the cut off time is 10, it should be 10. b) If you aren't going to make the change I requested (all of 2 minutes later) then I should have been told! Even if they hadn't screwed up the order, the cards themselves are NO better than if you printed them yourself at home. read more

TERRIBLE customer service. If they make a mistake they will make YOU pay for it. I needed a quick turnaround spoke to "Stephanie" gave her my email. Spelled it for her twice and she said upon receipt of my email send in your files and we will bill you and print your cards. I wait all day for her email and nothing. I call her the very next day and ask her if she sent the email. She then apologizes and says she sent it to the wrong email address. I ask her if I can still hit my deadline and she says YES but I have to pay $39 and because it's "her fault I only have to pay $29!????? Wtf. Clearly I declined her "offer" and will be printing at Ace Graphix or Guru Printing Services. read more

Despite the super friendly service of the receptionist, this company has output the worst printing I have ever experienced. The quality is extremely bad. Inconsistent ink coverage, streaking, ghosting, mis-aligned folding, cracking, trimming not straight or clean. The follow-up is non-existent. When I was working for the company G&A Apparel Group I needed to get some business cards made. I first looked at popular printer companies like VistaPrint, since they have commercials everywhere. However when it finally came down to ordering I was disappointed by the pricing vs. quality they offer. I decided to look for a local printer here in Los Angeles and I eventually found DTLA Printer. DTLA Printer gave us a great price for exactly what we wanted and the business cards came out beautiful! VistaPrint was charging significantly more for round corner business cards that we got at no extra cost from DTLA Printer. Another plus for us was that we didn't have to pay for shipping and handling since they are a few streets away from us. On another occasion the company, G&A Apparel Group, was fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I needed to get some flyers made and so we purchased a few hundred postcard size flyers from DTLA Printer. We got them in the time we required and were able to distribute them to our customers and raise money for a good cause. My former boss is about to place another order from them and when I need to have business made for myself I will never go anywhere else as long as they are open. The guys working there are friendly and competent at what they do. I highly recommend given them a try you won't be disappointed... unless you're like the customer that sent in the wrong files then blame the staff for messing up your order; user error is not their fault. read more
