Moses was amazing I walked in looking to purchase a green sapphire. He asked a few questions and said to leave my name and number and he would aquire one for me. This stone was for an engagement ring for my now fiance. He was able to obtain the most beautiful bright green natural sapphire in less than two days at a fair price. I looked at many stones and I kept coming back to this stone. My fiance loves to look at the stone. I will most definitely be coming back to the Jewlery box in the future. Thank you for help Moses! read more

Moses is amazing!!! We went to him to help us design my engagement ring and our wedding bands and he did the most incredible job!!! Sadly my son and his family lost everything in the Altadena fire. Luckily they did find 3 rings in the ashes. We didn't have much hope of restoring them but we took them to Moses at The Jewelry Box to see what he thought about them. I can't describe how beautifully he restored them! He sincerely wanted to help us. He did an amazing job and the price was more then fair. He is an honest and extremely talented jeweler. What he did for us was a miracle. Thank you! read more

Moses is the best!! I'm going in on Friday to have something repaired and I realized I've never written a review for them. The jewelry box is sparkling... everywhere you look not only the diamonds and Jewelry, but the shop itself. They have many beautiful pieces. I find that they are reasonably priced, especially for the quality that they provide. They are my go to jewelry store since I moved to Monrovia over 20 years ago!! I highly suggest you go in if you're in need or want, of anything new and pretty, a great new watch, or repairs meticulously performed. They won't disappoint. read more

I had a few heirloom diamonds I inherited that were very special to me. For our 15th anniversary, my husband wanted to get my engagement ring reset using the stones we had. After a wonderful family referral, we met with Moses and discussed our plans. I sent him a few ideas and he blew us away with the final product! Highly recommend the Jewelry Box! Thank you for bringing out vision to life! read more

I've used this jeweler for a few repairs, and have always found them to be very good. But recently I took my husband's wedding band to be re-sized. They had to cut it and add gold to make it a size larger. This was a ring that my husband had designed himself and had made by a different jeweler/friend many years ago. It was impossible to tell that it had been re-sized and they even were able to keep the inscription. I am a huge fan. read more

Service was friendly and prompt and the prices were super reasonable. We bought a custom rose gold wedding band that fit around my engagement ring and a matching men's rose gold wedding band. We went to several different jewelry stores and they were all estimated at at least $100 more. They even polished my engagement ring after they used it to mold the wedding band and it looked brand new! read more

My boyfriend, now fiancé, and I first stumbled upon this business while walking through the Monrovia Street Fair. We did not have an appointment, but Moses immediately began helping us and showing us different types of engagement rings. Since there were so many people coming in and out due to the street fair, he asked if we could arrange a day where we can have a more private meeting. Upon the next meeting, he educated us thoroughly about the different types of diamonds and everything there is to know. He told us the truths about the engagement industry and worked with us on a budget. He explained the finances and left all questions answered. We felt comfortable and like he was creating a beautiful ring made just for us. Week after week we met with him, looking at the many diamonds he was finding for us in our price range. My fiancé proceeded to go back without me and bought the ring a few months later. Moses stood in our budget and made us the most beautiful ring along with the wedding band at an unbeatable price. My mouth almost hit the floor when I first saw it! It sparkles so much and is just so perfect! We chose to go through with an independent jeweler because we wanted to have someone create something for us, not just settle for a mass produced ring sold by a corporation. Moses made it personal and we cannot be happier to be engaged and have the beautiful ring created by an amazing jeweler who treats you like family rather than a customer and help out a local business. Needless to say we would highly recommend him to anyone we know!! read more

I just want to thank Moses for the beautiful engagement ring he created to look like my original. My husband upgraded my diamond, but I loved the setting he picked out originally. Moses made some slight changes to make sure the diamond sits securely in the setting but highlights the diamond more than the setting. He designed and created my new engagement ring from scratch and had it done in just a few weeks. The new ring matches so well with the wedding band he designed. I'm so happy and proud to wear my rings every single day. read more

Moses is the best! I've purchased, and repaired watches with him and he is 100 percent a true professional. Other Tag Heuer dealers take 4-6 weeks to do work on watches while Moses can get it done within days or even the same day. Varies on what you need done. He's always helpful and upfront about cost and timelines. I would definitely recommend the Jewelry Box to anyone looking for fine, rare jewelry or watch repair, informative and knows his business. Highly recommend Moses for all your timepiece and jewelry needs. read more

I have been in the area for two years and finally found a jewelry store worth shopping at. Great customer service and a greater knowledge of watch's from the owner. What like the most about this jewelry store and the owner is when I walked in the store I was viewed as a cutomer. I was not judged by my race. As in this area black people are always stereotyped. Additionally, the prices we exceptionally great and they are willing to negotiated. I would highly advise this place. read more

BEST jeweler in area.Honest and good prices. He is a master artist at custom rings. Great staff, very accommodating.

If you are looking for a great jewelry store with a great selection of great quality pieces, then this is the place to go. It is hard to find someone you can recommend, but I do not hesitate one moment in recommending Moses at the Jewelry Box. read more

This place is great to get anything you might be looking for. I walked in a few months ago looking to get an anniversary ring for my wife and the guys there were great. I told them the look that I was looking for and how much I wanted to spend and there were no problems. They told me that the company manufactured and designed their own stuff so they pretty much got me exactly what I wanted and at a great price. Went to the mall just to make sure I wasn't getting ripped off and sure enough nobody could match the price. Definitely will keep coming here from now on. read more

WOW! What amazing service! I had two watch batteries replaced and a wrist watch resized. Connie, a wonderful woman, greeted us instantly and was professional, yet charismatic. She answered questions for us window shoppers and showed us some really spectacular pieces. It felt just like having a conversation with her instead of her pushing us to buy items. We signed up for a future event and will actually probably be back to purchase some of their fine jewelry. As far as the watch repair goes, it was also amazing. My watch was resized on the spot and the batteries were replaced very quickly. Angel did my watch work and is such a superstar! Extremely nice, polite, and professional. I will recommend this place to my friends and will be back for future repairs and/or purchases. read more

First time as I wanted to get my costume jewelry pieces fixed as sentimental. Mr. Moses was so helpful in explaining different situation of the jewelry needs. He even fixed something for free and I purchased a jewelry cloth to clean my jewelry at home. I gave him a bigger bill and as He didn't have change, He simply said, " You can pay me next time as I don't have change." I looked again to pay home $ 5 and change from my wallet as I didn't want to leave this store without repaying his kind offer. I can highly recommend this experience based on today... thank U ... ! read more

I went to The Jewelry Box while shopping for an engagement ring. I am so glad I stopped in. Tony, the owner, did not try to lead me to what he wanted to sell, but rather asked questions on exactly what I had in mind. He was then able to take my budget and give me the highest quality for that price. My fiance LOVED it and it became the ring to beat among her girlfriends. The best part, I had it appraised to insure it and it appraised for more than double what I paid!! Stop by, take a look at their beautiful pieces and enjoy a stroll around downtown Monrovia. You will not regret starting a relationship with this honest and incredible jeweler. read more

I stopped into Jewelery box looking for an engagement ring, spoke to the staff who were very polite and helpful despite being close to closing time. I left with a good feeling and after visiting many other stores decided to pursue getting the ring from the Jewelery box. I had a photoshopped image of what I wanted and was able to get it made custom. Moses was fantastic and worked with me to get the very specific stones I needed in the size I wanted. I did a lot of research about the market value of everything I put together including the labor of making a custom ring. When it came time to finally get the quote from Moses, he came in $50 under what I felt was a fair price. This to me was a great sign of honesty; I didn't even negotiate and green-lit the job. There were so many details I'd requested, that I was worried right up until the end that something would be wrong. When I finally saw the ring I couldn't be happier. Everything was perfect, the settings, the arrangement, all the nit-pick details. Like anything, doing your research goes a long way when purchasing Jewelery, the staff was never condescending or insulting when I asked questions or had certain preferences. They worked within my deadline and were patient when I had changes. Everyone we show loves the ring and the uniqueness of the custom engagement ring is something my fiancee and I will cherish. read more
