I took some jewelry in to be repaired. They were friendly and did my repairs within a week. They did a good job, I highly recommend them read more

I have sold my jewelry to this place multiple times and for a fair price! They have a huge selection of jewelry, coins and collectibles. I have also had a few piece's of jewelry repaired by them which came out great every time. They nicely polish the jewelry before you go back in to pick up your jewelry. The man who fixes the jewelry is also very knowledgeable in gemstones & jewelry overall. The guys who work there also have extensive knowledge about history and many of the collectibles that they carry in the store. The store is always clean and nice and the workers have always been pleasant! read more

First I would like to say the Staff is always so kind. They Care about their customers. They understand that things happen. I believe that their goal is when it comes to pawning an item is that you get said item back. My experience with them at neighborhood pawn was a very good experience. Nobody really wants to pawn any item, but if you have to my recommendation is to go to neighborhood pawn. read more

I came in today and the gentleman that helped me was very kind and courteous! I had one of my mom's bracelets to sell. My mom passed away in May and this piece of jewelry had tremendous sentimental value to me! I was upset and started crying and the person that helped me was really sweet and attentive! The store is well organized and very nice! Located in the heart of Monrovia~ ample parking and a great location! Check it out! read more

This is one of my favorite places to buy. Prices and quality are always great. Finding a trustworthy company is huge for me. They know what they are talking about which is awesome. The jeweler there is awesome too. I have him do all my repairs also special orders. I have gone here for years and never had a bad experience. Love this place read more

As far as pawn shops go- well first mistake is taking a piece of 24 KT jewelry to a two bit pawn shop where they obviously only deal in knick knacks- the tatted lady ( which was not probably hired for her skills) proceeded to rudely assist me and asses my piece- she came back saying needed to ask the owner for second opinion as the acid test she performed was conclusive that it was not 24k - LOL!!! the owner came out or and old guy that looked like the owner tried the same test and proceeded to say it was not 24 KT and there was no way it could be at best 22 KT - when in fact i had it x-rayed with and stated my piece was in fact 99,8 pure 24 KT gold - they are def antiquated in their protocols - Def! Do not waste your time if your trying to get fair value for your jewelry!! STAY AWAY - THEY WILL RIP U OFF! read more

Very friendly Mrs Betty was helpful and gave a great price for a ring I wanted I'm on a fixed income so it was a blessing to get a good deal they are also generous on items being pawned I would recommend when you need money go here they will help out read more

if i could give this place 0 stars i would. rude staff and super unhelpful. answered none of my questions and extremely judgy.

Don't go here. My brother took in a ring to be pawned for a loan and they stated it was not real. Two days later, the stone fell out. What a coincidence that a stone that has been tested multiple times and been in place for over 20 years falls out. I am 100% sure they swapped it out because one of the grips holding the diamond in place was cut. A solid gold ring doesn't just break like that especially since the stone wasn't lose. I hope karma comes back to these thrives as that ring had been in our family for a long time. It's fine if you don't want to do business with someone but stealing from someone is a low as you can get. read more

When we first came into Neighborhood Pawn, my partner and I were looking for an engagement ring. At the time we were fairly sure we had one already picked out, but when we saw the beautiful pieces here, we were suddenly unsure. That's when Haydee stepped in. She was incredibly knowledgeable and really guided us to the perfect engagement set. The wonderful people at Neighborhood Pawn helped us again after I popped the question. My Fiancée needed a platinum band for me to match her, but this turned into a tall order with our budget. But nothing is too challenging for Rob and Haydee. They both started making calls and in minutes we found the one at their other store. 48 hours later it was sized and ready. After a year of looking for the right rings through an already stressful pandemic, Haydee and Rob made it simple and affordable and really gave us beautiful memories of ring shopping. And now, my Wife and I love starring at our rings everyday. Truly gorgeous reminders of the love we share. I thank everyone at Neighborhood Pawn, from the bottom of my heart. read more

Amazing, nice and helpful staff! Awesome selection of anything you're looking for at Ana amazing price. Highly recommend!

We came to the Neighborhood Pawn Shop after a horrible experience at one of the chain stores that were suppose to reset my princess cut diamond on a new band. I had a dated wedding ring set and my Husband wanted to surprise me with a new band. After what we had to deal with we did not know what to do. After going to the Neighborhood pawn shop I was at ease. All my questions were answered they were so helpful and honest. I expressed exactly what I was looking for and Becky was able to show me ring settings that I may like from their catalog book and also rings they had there in the shop. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for from the catalog. The Jeweler Lloyd was very knowledgeable , experience and so helpful. The mounting was very well done I love my new ring. Thank you Haydee, Becky and Lloyd now my Husband has a place to go for all my Anniversary gifts read more

This place is a little weird, the workers are all a bit strange. The overall vibe of this store is a little strange, I'd recommend going somewhere else. read more

Nice friendly staff thats the only reason they get 2 stars. I took in my schecter jeff loomis signature to get appraised for either a buy or a loan and the owner (guy with glasses) told me he would give me 20 bucks for a loan. I dont think he really knows how to value guitars. read more

Went in last night on a whim after dinner with the family. They were close to closing but still very accommodating. I just happened to find an incredible deal on a killer drumset and bought it right there. They let me come back the next morning to pick it up and they even helped me load it up. Super personable and great customer service. So many great deals. Can't wait to go back and pick up some more band gear. read more

Love this place..the staff is great and my favorite place to buy jewelry at a good price..Have found some amazing deals over the years..

What bad service and to the girl who helped me with the tatts , learn some customers service skills, I called first to make sure they know I'm bringing in a Louis Vuitton Garment bag not a purse, I took out of the bag she gave it one look and said we can't take it, I asked why and she said because I'm not sure it's a real Louis Vuitton bag so I started to explained it to her and quickly gave up cause when you roll your eyes like she did it wasn't even worth taking out the paperwork to show her the documents cause to me it's a losing battle, so what it was a waste of time, could you imagine the thousands of dollars this ass clown is taking from people who's rent is on the line and are so desperate they will take what ever she offers. The real reason why she wasn't going to take it is cause I won't take 50.00 for a 4500.00 bag, so my suggestion to anyone who is planning on going there, " is to stay away from this shop," rolling your eyes and your body language is telling me that you can't pull a fast one on this guy so get him out of the shop ASAP you never even asked for documents or even ID cause if it was stolen or fake I'm not risking my government clearances for a few BUCKS. So everyone you've been warned. Stay away please. Go to a fair shop there so out there. Thanks read more

Went to the Betty the manager to get my ring appraised and she was completely unfriendly. I am a customer, greet me with some respect like saying hi, hello, how are you. Second she asks me how much do I want to sell my ring for I told her the price, then she weighed it, looked at it etc and said $50 bucks. Fine, then I said okay, can you recommend me selling this ring somewhere that you know of such as a website etc? She said someone who wants it. LOL okay???? Talk about a witch! Sorry you work at pawn shop lady. Get a new career path if you aren't happy where you're at. Also, if you are a manager you need to be more friendly. read more

Call this strange pawn shop and ask for ability of a specific bag and they will tell you " we are not at liberty to discuss so yes and no." How strange is that?!?! I get it if they can't say what they have had in the past but this just seems sketchy to me. read more

Excellent staff and service! Very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Their jeweler is wonderful!! Neighborhood Pawn has a beautiful selection of jewelry and other really unique items. The store, in Old Town, is safe, secure and full of great merchandise and collectibles. It's a completely overlooked gem in town. The owner, Rob, really knows his 'stuff' and is always willing to answer all your questions. I am always amazed at his knowledge of the history and authenticity of coins, precious metals and jewelry, etc. I have referred numerous friends and clients to Rob and they always thank me immensely for his high standards and honesty. I will always visit Neighborhood Pawn to get the utmost value and dollar. I can't recommend them enough! read more

I found out about this hidden gem through my fiancé & I'm so glad I did because this is where I got the ring to propose to her. I got it at a great price & have been coming here ever since. My last purchase was a MK gold watch about 4 months ago & I got it for less than half of what I've seen at Macy's, Nordstrom's, you get the picture. The condition of the watch was impressive, brand new to be honest. I get all my watch batteries replaced here & plan on getting my wedding bands from here because they'll have/find what I want for a price that no one else can beat. Ask for Haydee! (Rob & Betty give excellent customer service too!) read more

If it were possible to a give negative star rating for this business I would do it. Cannot begin to explain the rude demeanor of the owner at so called pawn shop. My boyfriend came in to buy a piece of diamond jewelry from Neighborhood Pawn. My boyfriend, who has great knowledge about diamonds, trusted what the owner told him about the jewelry piece. When my boyfriend attempted to send the stones he purchased to EGL to get appraised we found out that they were enhanced diamonds, basically worthlesss. When we tried to return it to the owner he was EXTREMELY rude, reckless, despicable, and not to mention disrespectful! He blamed us for the stones being fake. Would not recommend this pawn shop to my greatest enemy. There is a guarantee that you will not be treated with respect and manner, and lied to as a matter of fact! I HIGHLY would not recommend! Unless you want to get scammed! read more

The guy had an attitude and took forever to get my product back to me. They also charge too much interest. I've been to much nicer pawn shops that loan more money. read more

This place is as good as it gets! Been coming here for 30+ years. The people here are more like a family, the minute you walk in the door you are welcomed by someone. Everyone is very knowledgeable, they have high end items, LV luggage, Chanel handbags and Rolex watches. GREAT jeweler in house for repairs. Fixed the shank on platinum ring beautifully. Always worth a stop in and look-see, open late during Friday's farmers market. Honest as they get, you won't be disappointed! read more

This Is a pretty cool pawn shop. I come by for DVDs mainly. After or during work. They always have great DVDs on stock. Hidden gems In the selection. Cheap prices for them . The staff is cool. I also have bought video games there. You can always talk the prices down on thing if "prices are too high" on other Items. They are reasonable people. I would recommend coming here. read more

Staff is always super friendly! The owner is a local and very nice!! They give great prices on pawns and always are great about notifying when it's almost up! I've been back 2 or 3 times! I highly suggest using them if you need to pawn something for a few months or even a year! read more

Best place anywhere for business! Staff is amazing! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Service was slow. And the lady who seems to be "in charge" was bossy and rude to the gentleman that was helping me. I won't be back here.

I recently went to Neighborhood Pawn because I was in a jam and Haydee gave me the best service. She went over everything with me, was patient and took her time since I had a lot of questions. I was able to get a loan instead of having to sell my stuff. I plan on going back when I have some extra money since they have some really cute jewelry too! read more

Great service and great staff. The girl with the tatts seems very knowledgable about everything. I was glad that I came in. This is definitly a gem of a shop in a cute little neighborhood. Their selection of jewelry is great. When i am looking again, i will definitly be back. read more

A good place to shop for your special someone. Great jewels at a great price. Friendly service and a lot of fun. I love this place always get a great deal . I have read some negative reviews on this business and it is difficult for me to credit them with much reliability. I have purchased a number of pieces from this business all have proven much higher in value than the asking price. As for the people, they make you not want to leave always... I repeat, ALWAYS pleasent. If someone encountered a negative attitude there, it's my guess they brought it with them. These folks make you wanna stop by just to visit them, very nice people. You get great prices, swift cooperative service, patient salespeople who work with you to find the pieces that best fit your budget and what you're looking for. I have only good experiences the 3 or 4 dozen times I've stopped in. So if you're gonna listen to anything hear this... great looking jewelry , fairly priced, carefully selected, thoughtfully presented and at prices you can afford. The people are the rarest gems in the place. Stop by and see for yourself . Don't listen to me and certainly not to the sour grapes presented in some reviews. Evaluate for yourself and based on your own experience , stop by see what they have to offer, and you be the judge of how it's presented. My guess is you'll go back again, and again. read more
