I visit this location at least 1 a week during my lunch break from work. The staff is always friendly and the place is very clean. The food is delicious I usually do a medium bowl with salmon, tuna and spicy crab. They have a drink called pokinade that I am totally addicted to and if you go on thirsty Thursday it's buy one get one free. read more

Poki doki is by far the best poki place! Their servings are very generous. They always have fresh food and I am so happy I found poki doki. They have a stamp card which is also a plus! They have good tasting sides and sauces but I will travel to poki yaki in Buena Park for the same price and get a bigger bowl with larger fish scoops. They don't toss your fish in the sauce and just pour on top. I won't be going back. One plus is that they have ginger and sprouts for topping selection but literally gave me a sliver of sprout. Wow! The line was out the door on grand opening day but it was well worth the wait. Got a scoop of tuna, salmon, and shrimp on a base of brown rice, with a side of imitation crab meat and avocado, topped with seaweed salad, cucumber and masago. Delicious. Love this place! All the workers are really patient and you can add up to 3 sauces of your choice. How great is that!! They have small, medium, large. They also offer a burrito poki too and they have their own speciality drink called the Poki Nade. They have a counter with more special sauces just incase the workers didn't put enough sauce for you yet. read more

I first heard of this place when a friend told me this place was giving away free poke bowls as part of their grand opening a few weeks ago. When she said FREE poke bowl it was a no brainier that I needed to check this place out. So I went, figured there was going to be a long line and waited about 20 minutes till i got to the front of the line. Got my medium bowl, enjoyed it, thought it was like any other poke bowl I've tried and told myself ill come back next week when it's not crazy busy. So I came back the next week for a large bowl ( 4 generous scoops of the fish of your choice, $11.00) and decided to try a mix of spicy mayo and the sweet eel sauce. Let me just say best decision ever. The combination of spicy and sweet was absolutely delicious. I also decided to try their pokinade which was lemonade mixed with bits of strawberry, slices of lemon and a hint of basil ($2.50). I enjoyed it as well. Overall, my experience their was great. The staff is always friendly; when I say this, every worker there had a smile on their face and greeted customers in a friendly manner. Definitely one of my favorite poke spots. Ok, so I've been to a number of poke places and this one has been my least favorite so far. I ordered a medium, and the friend I was with ordered a small. I didn't necessarily have a problem with the taste, which was pretty decent. I feel like when we ordered our bowl, the size referenced how much rice was going into the bowl, instead of how much fish. The portions are just way off. The rice took up more than half the bowl, the scoops of fish were PUNY as well as the toppings, and they don't even mix the fish and sauce together.- it's just poured on top at the end. What had really ticked me off was the amount of protein we received. Honestly, the three scoops of fish I got were about equivalent to one scoop of fish anywhere else I've been. One scoop was like 3-4 pieces of tiny, chopped of bits of fish. For having to pay $10+, I expect a little more. I would love to say I'd come back, since it's literally 5 minutes from my place, but I'd rather drive the extra distance to go to my usual spots. Went to the Grand Opening today and was impressed. I've been to several Poki places and the fish at PokiDoki was probably the best I've seen, particularly the Albacore which is often mushy at other places. I'll definitely be back. read more

This is a great Poki restaurant!! The Poki bowl was really good and the line was super fast! The workers were really friendly and energetic! I would say the down side is that the store smells really fishy. Yes they serve fresh fish, but I've been to other Poki restaurants and they don't smell as fishy as they do. Plus they open at 11:30 and I wish they would open earlier so I can eat it more often! but overall it's a great place and I would definitely bring my friends to eat here with me! read more

The food here is delicious.....but the customer service is not. Twice they have had a sign up that they were not serving avacado due to the expense but would not substitute anything for it (such as extra crab or seaweed salad). It is the little things that keep customers coming back (or not). Think about training your employees with a higher class of customer service. read more

Only 3 stars. Food is great! service not so great anymore. The girl when you start in line is very nice. However, the little brunette at the end of the line is rude. She put the lid on my to go order and didn't add sauce or sesame or the furikake. When I asked for the sesame she asked if I wanted sauce when I told yes I could see that she was squeezing the bottle very hard and going around and around and around putting probably five times the normal amount on my order. She put the bowl in the bag upside down. When I got back to work the onion garlic sauce was everywhere dripping out of the bag. it was basically inedible. So, won't be back. don't care how good the place is when your help is rude and does something like that, that's it. I'm done. read more

The food here is soooooo tasty! So I would give it five stars for that BUT the biggest turn-off was that the guy used his hands to put the salad in my bowl. Ok sure, he was wearing rubber gloves, but he was touching other things with those gloves like the rice pot lids. I don't consider that a good practice. Could they use tongs maybe. I would feel so much better if he used tongs! UPDATE: I'm impressed at how quickly James L. Of Poki Doki responded to my review! I thank you, James, for that. I am changing my rating to a full five stars because when I went there for lunch today (before seeing James' reply; and thinking I'm going to just look away when the guy puts salad in my bowl with his hands and not focus on it so it wouldn't ruin my meal) I was so pleasantly surprised to see the employee use tongs on my salad. Not bad but compared to pokenometry in Anaheim it's ok. Pokenometry gives you a better bargain they give you more fish and rice compared to poki doki. If I had to recommend one pokenometry is the place to go. If poki doki can fix this they would own the poki market in the area. read more

I've been to Poki Doki three times now. I get the salad (regular) and every thing is always fresh--the mixed greens, the different fish toppings (3 nice scoops), and the sauces blended perfectly. As for the staff--even on a busy night they all are pleasant and all of them are smiling and helpful. Give it a try--you'll love it. read more

Poki Doki is disgusting. I have poke 1 or 2 times a week and I was excited to try it since it's close to my house, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. It smells like my 10th grade rat dissection project inside, and they charge $11.00 for 4 scoops...FOUR?!? Every other place i've been to gives you 5 scoops for the same price or cheaper. The employees also haven't been trained properly yet. From the places i've been to they put the fish and sauce in a separate bowl and mix them together to get a nice flavor. This place just put the fish in the bowl with the rice and other toppings and drowned it in sauce. That caused my bowl to be less flavorful and it felt like I was tasting everything separately instead of the incredible taste you get when having a poke bowl that was properly made. To top it all off my girlfriend got sick and threw up later that day from the poke bowl because they decided to buy cheap fish and think people won't notice. read more
