I have been going to this location since it was Poké Bar, now known as Wow Poke. Even though the name changed, they still offer the same options of size, base, proteins, mix-ins, sauce, sides, and toppings. The portion size is decent, and the price is usually around what poke costs nowadays. The quality of the fish is okay, but can't compare it to Hawaiian Fresh Seafood in San Diego (the literal best I've tasted so far outside of Hawaii). The good thing about this place is you get to pick as many mix ins or sides while other poke shops around the area only allow 2 sides/mix ins/toppings. Me and my family used to love coming to this Poke location due to the friendly service and portion to price. But after a recent visits definitely thinking of taking my business elsewhere. Depending who you get serving you there is definitely a discrepancy with the bowls and how they fill and portion the serving. You are either satisfied or definitely disappointed with quantity especially if it's one of the female workers serving you. On my recent visit we requested extra toppings which we notified the staff member we are willing to pay extra for she rudely emphasized with each item that it will be extra . After receiving our bowls we were disappointed with our food as there was barely any change even with paying for more. Another guest came in to the staff familiarity and was treated very differently from us they were not requested to fill the form and were given extra scoops of food from the customers request. Instead of simply ordering with an employee, you're now required to fill out a form, and if you ask for anything beyond what's on it, they refuse to accommodate. We also paid for extra toppings, including avocado, but never received them in our bowls. We asked for extra kimchi as well and were given none. When we politely brought these issues to the staff's attention, they were dismissive and rude instead of trying to make it right. My poke bowl was great, all the ingredients were delicious and the portions were generous. I'd go back again only because the poke is good. My family is from Hawai'i so I know poke. My favorite poke place! It has generous portions always and many of the other poke places don't offer as many toppings, which for me is important. I love how i can mix and match my own sauce!!! Service is always alright, never great never bad either, I personally like how more revently orders are done only on the sheets of paper we fill out. I've been going here for years. And now I will say this place has become either a hit or miss. Either you'll get a good staff that will give you good serving or a staff that's rude and will not only do your order last but will also be stingy about it. My boyfriend and I went the other day with our service dog. We understand on the door it was posted no pets allowed unless it's service animal. Right there and then we were told that the other staff is allergic and if only one can fill out the form. And so we did. Gave them the forms. After we gave them our order to the other girl, there were 4 more customers that came in. That one girl in front that was allergic supposedly was working on other orders but opted to work on our orders instead. They did all the other 4 customers orders first, my boyfriend had to tell them why they were doing theirs first. And they said it was online orders--clearly not because we saw them fill out the forms too. Not only she did our orders last, but she was so stingy with it. Conflicted writing this review as Poke Bar Cerritos has long been my favorite local pick for poke. What I really enjoyed was their customizable selection of seafood, veggies, and sauces, allowing you to have a flavor bomb of a rice bowl. I usually get a large bowl with salmon and tuna with fire ponzu and all of the sides (crab, corn, jalapeno, cucumber, fried garlic, fried onions) I could fit in the bowl. Two issues cause me to downgrade my review to 3 stars: First, I feel that the fish freshness has been inconsistent. Second, they've kind of changed the order process where you choose what you want by paper. They're pretty consistent with getting everything you ask for on your order, but I liked being able to order it by pointing and choosing what I wanted. It's a small difference, but it made my experience better. But every time I come here they seem to get something wrong (except for the proteins, like pineapple when I didn't mark that or sauce that was missing in the bag when I noted in as clear as I can "ON THE SIDE"), really gives the "Ah they forgot this, but I'll still enjoy it!" vibe. BUT IT'S ON THAT NOTE THAT IF YOU'RE ALLERGIC TO ANYTHING, CHECK YOUR BOWL OR EMPHASIZE IT TO THEM. Oh, the order slip also asks to leave your number down so they can text you when your bowl is ready, but I never received that text. They do at least tell you that "They will work on it shortly", so that's possibly the reason. The seating is alright, a bit narrow I'd say but never gets busy where that may be an issue. There are outdoor tables so that's an option. Again, the portions are generous, if you ask for a certain topping such as crab meat or seaweed salad they WILL give you crab meat or seaweed. I thanked the other girl, but I noticed the girl from before got upset because she told me that. My friend ordered a medium, just like me, and we asked for extra vegetables. As is normal with poke spots, you can fill out all your options on a slip of paper and hand it to the staff to make it for you (recommended) or just walk up and tell them what you want. The place gets busy sounds lunch, though, so it makes it quicker for everybody to fill out the slips and then wait for them to call your name when it's all made. I really like this place because of all the extras. They have the normal stuff like seaweed salad, crab salad, edamame, etc. but what take makes it fun is the dry toppings like nuts and crushed Cheetos!
