I have been going to this location since it was Poké Bar, now known as Wow Poke. Even though the name changed, they still offer the same options of size, base, proteins, mix-ins, sauce, sides, and toppings. The portion size is decent, and the price is usually around what poke costs nowadays. The quality of the fish is okay, but can't compare it to Hawaiian Fresh Seafood in San Diego (the literal best I've tasted so far outside of Hawaii). The good thing about this place is you get to pick as many mix ins or sides while other poke shops around the area only allow 2 sides/mix ins/toppings. Service has gone downhill. The staff was extremely unfriendly during our visit. Instead of simply ordering with an employee, you're now required to fill out a form, and if you ask for anything beyond what's on it, they refuse to accommodate. We also paid for extra toppings, including avocado, but never received them in our bowls. We asked for extra kimchi as well and were given none. When we politely brought these issues to the staff's attention, they were dismissive and rude instead of trying to make it right. My husband and I used to enjoy the food here, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, after today's visit, we won't be returning. $49 for 2 mediocre poke bowls and crap service. Would not recommend based on the poor customer service and quality. read more

My poke bowl was great, all the ingredients were delicious and the portions were generous. I'd go back again only because the poke is good. My family is from Hawai'i so I know poke. Ambience is okay, pretty basic but clean. The service was a different story. Since the counter girl said it would be about 15 minutes until my poke bowl was done, I went and looked at the other stores in the shopping center. When I came back I saw my poke bowl waiting for me with my name on it and so I pointed to it and told the girl that I'm here to pay & pick it up. But she told me to wait and then she called over another customer instead of me and helped them with no explanation as to why she took them first! Because I'm a different color than they both are? She didn't like my politeness? She can't stand older people? The other customer is her friend? The other customer had ordered three bowls and their last bowl wasn't even ready yet! I had to wait. Then the guy wanted to split the payment between cards, which took even more time, and when they were finally done getting all the utensils and extra sauces they wanted, it was nearly 10 minutes. THEN the counter girl ignored me and walked over to the poke bar and started helping somebody else! WTF?! Communication is everything. First come, first served is fair. The servers were talking to each other and not very helpful. The ordering sheet was a little overwhelming so I was hoping they would offer some assistance but no. I asked a few questions and ordered. They seemed a little slow but the food was good. We ordered 3 bowls and was happy with the taste. The place was newly updated with bright colors and signage. This poke place is funny, I like this place don't get me wrong it's a great spot! Even at the Small Bowl (under $15 as of this review) options they'll hit you up with a near to full bowl of all the condiments, sides, and toppings. Upon entering you grab a order slip and check off the size, proteins, toppings, and garnishes for your bowl. But every time I come here they seem to get something wrong (except for the proteins, like pineapple when I didn't mark that or sauce that was missing in the bag when I noted in as clear as I can "ON THE SIDE"), really gives the "Ah they forgot this, but I'll still enjoy it!" vibe. BUT IT'S ON THAT NOTE THAT IF YOU'RE ALLERGIC TO ANYTHING, CHECK YOUR BOWL OR EMPHASIZE IT TO THEM. Oh, the order slip also asks to leave your number down so they can text you when your bowl is ready, but I never received that text. They do at least tell you that "They will work on it shortly", so that's possibly the reason. The seating is alright, a bit narrow I'd say but never gets busy where that may be an issue. There are outdoor tables so that's an option. Again, the portions are generous, if you ask for a certain topping such as crab meat or seaweed salad they WILL give you crab meat or seaweed. Conflicted writing this review as Poke Bar Cerritos has long been my favorite local pick for poke. What I really enjoyed was their customizable selection of seafood, veggies, and sauces, allowing you to have a flavor bomb of a rice bowl. I usually get a large bowl with salmon and tuna with fire ponzu and all of the sides (crab, corn, jalapeno, cucumber, fried garlic, fried onions) I could fit in the bowl. Two issues cause me to downgrade my review to 3 stars: First, I feel that the fish freshness has been inconsistent. Second, they've kind of changed the order process where you choose what you want by paper. They're pretty consistent with getting everything you ask for on your order, but I liked being able to order it by pointing and choosing what I wanted. It's a small difference, but it made my experience better. I still feel that Poke Bar a decent option for poke bowls in the area and I still like the customizability of flavors in their rice bowls; however, I just expect more from their freshness if it's a place that I'd enthusiastically recommend. read more

I visited this business again, and the same girl was there. I asked if we could order, and another coworker said we could. I thanked the other girl, but I noticed the girl from before got upset because she told me that. My friend ordered a medium, just like me, and we asked for extra vegetables. They put a small amount, and the girl said, "We can't put extra." This happened the same thing when we came before. If we spend more than $50, I want extra vegetables. I don't know why the girl is always angry when we go. She doesn't offer avocado or other things. I wouldn't come back to this place because I feel she has something against us. I am extremely disappointed with my order today. I specifically paid for a Large bowl (4 scoops of protein) plus an extra scoop, as well as extra rice. Looking at what I actually received in these photos, the portions do not reflect what I paid for at all. It seems they switched to an order form system so they can prep the food away from the counter, which unfortunately means you can't watch them assemble the bowl to ensure the portions are correct. When I realized the mistake and tried to call to speak with a manager, I couldn't get a serious response. The staff, specifically the guy and the girl with red hair, didn't seem to care or take the issue seriously. I essentially paid a premium price for a bowl that looks like a small or medium at best. Between the skimpy protein and the lackadaisical attitude of the staff, I won't be coming back. Save your money and go somewhere where they actually give you what you pay for. read more

This has been my go-to spot for poke lately. The ingredients are fresh and the bowls are filling! Be forewarned, the parking lot is tightly packed though we've never had trouble finding parking. It's just a bit narrow and tricky for oversized SUVs trying to maneuver around each other. The restaurant itself has a bit of indoor and outdoor seating, but we usually get our food to go. As is normal with poke spots, you can fill out all your options on a slip of paper and hand it to the staff to make it for you (recommended) or just walk up and tell them what you want. The place gets busy sounds lunch, though, so it makes it quicker for everybody to fill out the slips and then wait for them to call your name when it's all made. I really like this place because of all the extras. They have the normal stuff like seaweed salad, crab salad, edamame, etc. but what take makes it fun is the dry toppings like nuts and crushed Cheetos! They also have a lot of different sauces that you can mix and match to find your favorite flavors. The food is always fresh and tastes delicious. This is my go-to!! Every time we want some poke, this is the place my hubby and I go to! Service is fast and always with a smile! Shout out to Amber, Dee, and Lynn. So, I loved this place. I went there almost every weekend. But I placed an online order around 740 pm and I got there at 801. MIND YOU online it says they close at 9pm. Anyway their doors were closed, and I saw the girl cleaning, my order was literally on the counter and I tried signaling out to her like hey that's my order. She has AirPods in and makes eye contact with me and ignores me , she actually starts laughing and tells whoever is on the phone "now she's tapping on the glass" and I wasn't being rude or annoying it was me waiting to basically get her reaction and let her know like hey can I please just get this meal I already paid for. Nope. She keeps laughing rude as hell and turns the lights off and goes to hide in the back. She wasn't done cleaning. Just wanted to ignore me anyway. I don't typically write reviews but I felt compelled to write this one. The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because we actually enjoyed the food. However, the customer service experience we had was cold and lacking. My boyfriend and I arrived 30 minutes before closing. While checking out, my boyfriend asked for a cup of ice and he was told by the cashier, "no because the ice machine is broken." Normally that wouldn't be an issue, but next to the register was a water dispenser filled with ice?? We both looked at the dispenser but let it go. Then I asked her if we could sit inside to eat our food but she said, "No we're about to close." (Keep in mind there's still 20 minutes left before closing and there's no other customers). Finally I asked if we could sit at the tables outside and another worker said, "Sorry, I just finished wiping the tables down and they need to be clean by the time I leave." I understand that people want to leave work on time, but that doesn't excuse the blatant lying and lack of hospitality. Disappointed in the service. My go-to poke spot!! Wish there was online ordering available but I at least appreciate the paper order forms especially when I have to order for multiple people. Overall, this is a great chipotle-like poke place where you can choose rice, salad, or tortilla chips as your base. I do not recommend tortilla chips (it's the crock pot nachos kind not the one you'll see in restaurants for poke nachos). I usually like to get salad and put my own rice at home. The salmon and tuna have always tasted fresh to me and haven't had a problem here. I love the veggie and sauce options too as it provides the perfect combo for my taste buds! It's often packed here during peak lunch and dinner hours. It feels like they're always a bit short on staff here for some reason?
