Staff is super friendly and helpful...on the day I was there, it was fairly crowded (which is generally a good sign, in my opinion) and I had to wait an extra few minutes because the staff was working on orders - not a problem for me. But, they acknowledged me and apologized for the delay, which I told them was no worries at all. Kind and appreciated gesture. Nice decor and comfortable space where I would definitely sit and eat - but so happened to take my order to go. It was well packed and organized. Definitely would go back and highly recommend! Get a sense of the Kama'aina' legacy. We got the spicy garlic and the Ahi tuna both did not upset. The sticky rice made great and greens are fresh. No fishy taste. Fish felt like it came straight out of the ocean. Reminds me of my good old days when I used to live by the Punchbowl, or would like to drive by the outskirts of Oahu to the country and just cruse the island and set camp to see the sunset. PokePort Oceanside offers customizable poke bowls, allowing customers to choose their base (sushi rice, brown rice, or mixed greens), a protein (such as albacore, salmon, ahi or tofu), dressing (like wasabi or spicy aioli), mix-ins (like sweet onions, mango or tempura flakes), and sides (including avocado, kimchi or seaweed salad). Each bowl is priced at around $18, with options to add extra protein or additional mix-ins and sides for an additional cost. This chain also has locations in Wildomar, Murrieta and Temecula as well. I hear that they are a family-owned and this is good news. I was greeted by the friendly staff as I entered. I observed a few customers come in and order food TO-GO. The interior is very simple and direct, with not a lot of decor or anything that stands out to enhance ambiance. Although it appears spacious, there's also very limited seating available. So, it's a great place for lunch, solo dining and maybe a date, but not great for large groups of people. I watched a few orders be prepared and the process is quick and cordial. I ordered a simple tiger milk boba drink, but requested coffee be added and they were willing to accommodate my request and I appreciated that. I had already eaten, but I decided to get a customized poke bowl and I loved it! I look forward to returning to try their Korean Bbq Beef Plate. Overall, I feel that PokePort Oceanside is a great hidden gem in a corner of Oceanside that often gets overlooked, even though it's right next to the 76 highway.

I went with the spicy tuna and spicy salmon, and both were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and packed with just the right amount of spice. What really stood out was the variety of unique and exotic toppings available, which were equally impressive and added a great combination of flavors and textures to the bowl. The service was good, and with it being my first time there helped walk me through everything. It was a little slow as they did just open which they had plenty of seating, which was nice. The only thing I disliked was the encouragement of reviews for free products. A little distasteful. In my opinion . However, I definitely will be back.

Shoots Beer & Tacos understood the assignment…read more I ordered the fish and shrimp taco combo because choosing just one felt emotionally impossible. Both were fantastic, but the shrimp taco absolutely stole the show. I'd happily start a fan club for that taco. Then there was the Mango Tajín beer...tangy, sweet, spicy, refreshing, and basically summer in a glass. Whoever thought of putting those flavors together deserves a high five. The ordering is easy cafeteria-style, but don't panic--you don't have to awkwardly balance a tray while searching for a table. Just order, grab a seat, and they'll bring everything to you. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, it's dog-friendly (major points), and parking was surprisingly painless. Great tacos, fun drinks, easy parking, and dogs are welcome? That's what I call a quadruple threat. I'll definitely be back...mostly because I'm pretty sure that shrimp taco and I have unfinished business.

I did the same marinade (unagi and spicy mayo) for the fish as the top dressing too. Really loved all the toppings you could add, especially the seaweed salad, edamame, and ginger. My husband ordered similarly with just all spicy ahi tuna and no edamame. We both enjoyed our meals, especially with our Hawaiian Sun treats.

Poké was calling my name and Poki Poki was highly rated for delivery as well as being reasonably priced. I went with a "regular" sized "bowl" and WHAT?! I got a massive takeout box filled to the brim! Believe me, I'm not complaining but I was pleasantly surprised. I had a few add ons to my bowl, but overall it was about $23 which was just fine for the quality and the quantity of food. In my bowl I got spicy tuna, cucumber, spicy crab, avocado, salmon, spicy mayo, over white rice. Everything was absolutely delicious and the spicy tuna and spicy mayo was the perfect little kick! All the components tasted super fresh and it was the perfect "bowl" overall. Filling and tasty while still being refreshing. I also got one of their Vietnamese iced coffees and WHEEWWW tread lightly. It was absolutely phenomenal but I was bouncing off the walls. Granted, I needed that for the long day I had ahead, but sometimes that can be too much. 10/10 do recommend though. A little bummed I'm not a local resident because Poki Poki would see me weekly!

During those times, the menu was very simple. At that time, the father, mother, and son operated all aspects of the operation. Quality control was huge. And it continues to be the same way today. Today, the menus is fabulously expanded to include a variety of Japanese and Asia-Fusion items. The decor and seating arrangements are aesthetic and comfortable. I do reminisce on the early stages of this joint back during COVID. There was only one dish on the menu: poke bowl. A lot has changed since then, but the quality has remained unchanged.
