When he came back, he didn't say a word he just stared at me like I was supposed to somehow know what he wanted. It felt awkward and honestly pretty rude, like we were inconveniencing him. On top of that, they charged extra for basic items like edamame and even ginger, which felt pretty nickel-and-dime. Overall, poor service and not a great experience. The restaurant itself is very clean and modern. I felt comfortable and relaxed as I ordered and ate. The restrooms were very clean and nice. The staff were super friendly, professional, fast, and willing to help. I ordered the Regular Poke Bowl which includes 3 proteins and 7 toppings of my choice. I found it unique that they offered marinated meats such as Garlic Salmon and Malibu Tuna; something that most poke joints don't do. The ingredients were fresh and tasted great. The marinated meat options added a nice touch to the whole dish, so I recommend trying the marinated options. The fish itself was not chewy, but rather tender and melted in my mouth which is what I expected. The rice was cooked perfectly and didn't taste old. The toppings were refreshing as well. They do pack a lot into the container, so if you are just wanting a quick bite then maybe go with a Small Poke Bowl. Overall, great experience and great food. They offer a great variety of proteins as well as toppings. Although they pack a lot into the bowl, I was left filling full, but not sluggish nor feeling sick. My experience here at Poke Jaws is pretty limited. But, what little I've seen, I don't hate. Came here to grab my son a Poke Bowl after getting a car wash nearby. The interior is clean, their bar is well stocked and maintained, with a great look and decor. They have a nice selection of proteins, including shrimp and scallops along with the expected tuna and salmon. Toppings include avocado, seaweed salad, additional scoops of protein, macaroni salad, masago, and even unconventional selections like chestnuts, banana peppers, and kidney beans. About mu only gripe with what you can pile onto your bowl, would be the added charge if you decide to use your protein/topping choices to get multiple scoops of the same thing. For instance, extra masago, crab salad, or avocado could run you an extra $1 for each scoop. This can make even small bowls rack up the cost for people who prefer limited palette choices. This made my son's Regular Bowl (three proteins and 7 toppings) break the bank when all he wanted was salmon and crab salad. Regardless, he liked his dinner. And we both liked the Spam and Salamon Musubi. I will definitely try to come back here in the future to try the poke on my own. read more

The employees were a bit gruff, but gave me a few samples of the different salmon options before making a decision. This place has the most fresh fish and fresh ingredients. No weird smells when you walk into the shop (ahem Poke 1/2 San Marcos). Mixed greens never wilted. Service is insanely fast. Im talking faster than you placing an order at the front of an in & out line fast. The cost is shockingly reasonable that I don't know if I'm being punk'd. I love this place and dream about it so, so, so often. The people are wonderful and know how to give you good portions. This place was just so good. I drove out of my way during work just to check it out, and it was 100% worth it. As soon as I walked in, the employees were very polite and friendly. You can tell they genuinely care about the food and the vibe. I got a big plate and absolutely devoured it. All the fish and toppings were super fresh, the sauces were crazy good (and perfectly spicy how I like it), and the whole thing just hit the spot. I kept thinking, "Why don't I live closer?!" Excellent pole. The best poke we ever had. The fish is very fresh and the sauces are well balanced. There is a mastery in making poke that is a cut above. I can't put my finger on what is different, but this place did know how to make it a cut above. The portions are generous. My husband and I each had a large poke after a day of Legoland with kids. The restaurant was really nice, clean, and spacious- there's indoor and outdoor seating with lots of tables and seats. The have a large fish selection and DID NOT skimp on the portions; like they use the BIG spoons and aren't shy. They also have a lot of toppings and sauces. You need to come hungry because, again, the portions are big; so you definitely will get your money's worth. My bowl tasted flavorful and refreshing. The two workers behind the bar were efficient and really nice as well. One of them even checked in on me as I was leaving, which I really appreciated! It was a wonderful dining experience! The other day I came here for spam masubi which was very yummy. Then I told my boyfriend about it and saw their menu and all the fresh options. A week later, today, we showed up and realized they were closing in 5 minutes.
