Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Walked in here at 845pm and felt awful since it was so close to closing. The whole staff was so kind and helping us with our order. Super easy to talk to Jazmin and Marion and they gave me what their recommendations were. First was a custom bowl from Jazmin, simply salmon with Hawaiian salt and chili, ponzu, seaweed on top of rice with cucumbers, crunchy onions and wontons and imitation crab. I had it on a bed of rice and salad which was nice! It was very yummy! I wish I didn't get the Hawaiian salt and chili or just trusted her with mixing it with Ponzu sauce. Id still get it again regardless! I ended up liking the Yuzu Ponzu Salmon more because of the sauce balance was great. The food quality was great! The fish definitely still fresh, which is surprising for the end of the day. The variety will fit anyone's appetite, even the picky ones. Ambiance I didn't get to visit fully as they were stacking up chairs. However, high ceilings and plenty of tables for many people to sit. It's a perfect place to come on a summer day or if you're just trying to find something light. Very similar vibe as Cava and way healthier than Ono Hawaiian which is in the same plaza. I also had the P.O.G refresher which even though I got half sweet it was very sweet - but its juice so what are you gonna expect? For 2 bowls and small refresher it came out to $50ish. It's pricey, but worth every dollar. I see myself going here once every week or every other week. In summary, youd meet the nice staff and eat great food.

Regular bowl with ahi tuna and salmon

This was my first time here, and I ordered a regular bowl ($15.95) with brown rice as a base and ahi tuna and salmon as proteins. I chose two sauce flavors: medium on umami shoyu and light on sriracha aioli. I then asked for cucumbers, green onions, pickled ginger, soft tofu, spicy furikake, shredded nori, garlic crisps, and chili crisps as toppings. The umami shoyu sauce brings a savory sweetness to the bowl. It was a little on the sweeter side but still tasty. I liked the quality of the ahi tuna and salmon, but I wish they were cubed a little larger. The chili crisps do raise the spiciness by a good degree, so that can very well overpower the bowl. The garlic spam musubi ($3.95) was adequate. However, the garlic crisps don't enhance the taste in my opinion. It would've been much better if an egg accompanied the spam musubi. I've also had better seaweed quality and overall structure elsewhere. Overall, this poke restaurant is decent, but I'd be more open to trying others first before returning.

Tonight around 8:30 PM, close to closing time, my daughter and I visited this restaurant for the first time after stopping by Somi Somi nearby. When we arrived, all of the indoor chairs had already been put away, so customers were not allowed to dine inside. I understand it was close to closing time, so that wasn't a big issue. However, the service was extremely slow. There were four employees working plus what appeared to be the owner or manager at the register, but the line moved very slowly. I ordered a Three Protein Poke Bowl. The base price was around $17, and additional charges were added for avocado and masago. I understand charging extra for avocado, although many poke places in the area include masago without an extra fee. After tax, the total came to about $23. Since indoor seating was unavailable, my daughter and I ate outside. While eating, I noticed the fish texture seemed different from what I normally experience at other poke restaurants. It felt somewhat slimy, but at the time I didn't think much of it. A few hours later, after getting home, I experienced significant stomach discomfort and had to make multiple trips to the bathroom. Of course, I cannot say with certainty what caused it, but the timing has made me concerned about the food quality and freshness. I hope management pays close attention to food handling and ingredient freshness, especially during warmer weather when raw fish requires extra care. This was unfortunately not a good first experience for us.

Stopped by Pokeworks and honestly loved it! The ingredients were super fresh, portions were generous, and everything tasted amazing. I got a poke bowl loaded with salmon & lobster surimi with brown rice & salad. It came with crab salad, seaweed, edamame, corn, crispy onions w/ black garlic aioli such a good combo. The textures and flavors all worked perfectly together. Mango lychee lemonade drink was refreshing. It was sooo delicious. It paired really well with the bowl. The place was clean, service was friendly. Definitely one of the better poke spots I've tried lately. Will for sure be coming back!

Parking is easy as it's in a large plaza. Picked up an order using ClassPass. The atmosphere was friendly and everyone was super helpful and eager to help. Loved the Huli Huli chicken bowl and the mac salad that it comes with. Definitely will be back!

I am SO glad that Brea now has a pokeworks! Super close to home now, I swear I could eat poke every day lol. This is a pretty good chain, with lots of different mix ins to choose from. Parking at this location is very congested so beware. I only did a pick up this time, ordered through the app and it was done by the time my hubby went in and picked it up. We'll be back for sure! :)

Service sucks. Waitresses rushing to make the food with basically no line. I have multiple years experience working similar jobs and know it's not easy. But people need time to inspect the food/ decide. Regardless of any other factors, rushing/rudeness is not acceptable of more than 1 star. Food and pricing were about right and place was clean. Zach the new guy was kind though.

Spicy salmon and spicy tuna half and half bowl!

Love this place! The salmon and tuna are always super fresh, and the sauces are honestly my favorite part. they add so much flavor. The portions are good and everything tastes high quality. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's a little pricey, but I still keep coming back because it's that good. Their rewards program is a nice bonus too and makes it feel worth it. Definitely one of my go-to poke spots!

Forgot to take the picture BEFORE I started eating. Regular 2 protein bowl!
Leanna S.

Had pokeworks on delivery rotation forever but first time visiting the brea store - the owner is wonderful and so friendly! I typically order the regular 2 protein bowl with lobster surimi and ahi tuna. I mix the umami sauce and Hawaiian spicy and salt one. Idk if they JUST opened? But they have some drink specials and if you download the app/ rewards you get a buncha deals too. The poke is good but honestly writing this bc the owner was so nice and friendly and all the employees are so welcoming. Even for a quick grab n go place it was such a nice encounter.

I ordered a burrito from this location. My server Ian was very friendly and cool. This place is amazing for first timers trying Hawaiian food. 10/10 Would recommend

Please be careful using The Poke Co rewards app. I had a very concerning experience today involving…read moreanother customer's personal information. I first discovered The Poke Co about 2-3 months ago. During my first visit, I scanned their barcode and signed up for their rewards program using my phone number. Pretty normal nowadays--restaurants have rewards programs to encourage customers to come back and earn points. Today was only my second time coming back. Before going to the restaurant, I decided to check the app because it was Saturday and I thought there might be a long line. I entered my phone number, received the verification code on MY phone, and successfully logged in. But once I got into the account, I saw someone else's first and last name. At first, I thought maybe it was just some kind of placeholder name like "Jane Doe." But then I looked closer. The account also showed that person's email address, an address in Alabama, and a favorite store in San Francisco. How is another customer's personal information showing up after I verified the account using my own phone number? That seriously concerns me. If rewards accounts are connected to phone numbers, how did my number become associated with someone else's name, email, address, and account information? I don't see why another customer would intentionally enter my phone number when they would need their own number to access their rewards. My natural instinct was to log out and delete the account just to be safe, which I did. And then it got even stranger. Immediately afterward, I received another text message on my phone saying that I had successfully unsubscribed from Cold Stone Creamery. Cold Stone Creamery??? I was using The Poke Co rewards account. At this point, I have no idea what is going on or whether these rewards programs are connected through the same third-party platform. I also don't know whether deleting the account affected the other person's rewards points or account. I'm not claiming to know whether this was a data breach, a technical error, an account-linking problem, or something else. But being able to log in using MY phone number and verification code and then see another person's name, email, address, and other account information is a serious privacy concern. If this happened to me, could someone else potentially log in and see my information too? The Poke Co, please investigate your rewards system and the company operating it. Customers should not be able to see another customer's personal information after logging in with their own phone number. And to other customers: please check your rewards account carefully. If you see information that doesn't belong to you, take screenshots and report it. This is not something that should be happening.

It was super satisfying and fairly spicy, something most poké spots don't ever get to. I normally don't get mayo in my bowls, but this wasn't too bad and had a nice kick to it. The service was okay. The server behind the counter was very helpful and generous with the portions. He also stepped through every option, giving useful suggestions as to what to add next. He was also very adept at making small talk that sounded like he was interested. The only caveat was he disappeared after taking and making my order. This was possibly due to being the only worker in the shop. But it was also very jarring to have not a single soul looking after the dining room or front counter. This was even more noticeable because the spot was barren as far as customers go. There were no pick-up or take-out orders ready to go. There were no dine-in customers other than me. It was super eerie, like I was eating in a ghost town or waking up in the Walking Dead world. It did allow me enough quiet to read my book after, which was nice. But it's very unsettling to be eating alone alone for 75% of the meal without even employees in eyesight. All in all, the food was good but I wish it was a bit more popular so I don't feel like the first guest to a party the whole time.

They have some stuff not all the usual poke spots have like tamago as a protein or sliced jalapeno and pickled onions. Decent sauce selection too, leaning more on the sweet side. They are also the only spot I've seen with red hot cheetoes, which is one of my favorite poke bowl toppings. I like their salmon and veg and haven't had any weird off tasting bites of food in the times I've been here. Pretty consistent. I like that the servers tend to be pretty consistent with the amount of fish in a scoop - that tends to be an issue at most poke places I've been to but here it's pretty constant / reliable. My large (5 scoop) order comes out to about $22 with tax. I think that's about average these days for a large poke bowl and it's always a sizeable lunch for me. I've always had good experiences with the staff and had some nice chats with the owner, no negative service experiences (I see some other people have had less positive interactions in reviews and it's definitely possible). This spot got my friend group's approval and I think it's gonna be the go-to for poke for a while!

Even my boyfriend agreed that he was mean to me. Whole time I was telling him my ingredients politely, he was almost scolding me asking me what I wanted. He was a young guy with floppy hair. Wish I asked him what his problem was. Fish was good but they also didn't have any eel sauce either. Portions were extremely small and not worth the price. I got cucumber and only received 4 slices. I won't be back due to the service and portion size. Do better.
