Great quality food for what you pay here! I got their poke bowl with salmon & ahi tuna, some spicy chipotle sauce on the side and a few extra things nothing too fancy but damn.. such a good poke bowl and first time coming here. Next time I'd like to try their masubi as an app. For sure if I'm thinking about getting a poke bowl again somewhere, this will rate top of the charts for me! Great value and the ultimate customizable dining experience. Everything is fresh and the meal speaks to any type of diner from Japanese aficionado to someone looking for a basic salad. Vegetarian options like beet tuna and kale noodles make it even better. Poke and spicy tuna both very good and especially liked the sweet corn, seaweed salad, and edamame. Colorful bowl and mixed easily. Tons of sauce selections to again (theme here) customize your bowl. Only downside is the speed. Takes a while looking through all the options and tossing them together. Would recommend working with a delivery app to speed up and pick up without hassle. But in all $10.50 for a regular bowl is great value. Haven't been to too many poke spots in Austin but all around experience here seems tough to beat. read more

Yeah this place hits the spot. Hi, I'm Mark the reviewer and this is my review for Pokeworks. I got the two protein poke for $12 which got reduced to $7 after using the app. Definitely my favorite poke place in Austin now. I might be a sucker for the crunchy toppings but this place has plenty of the crunchy options. The lotus leaf was something I've never seen before but it added to crunchiness. My two proteins were salmon and spicy tuna. My sauces was sweet chili gochujang and siracha aioli. Not going to lie, I got so many toppings and sauces that everything sort of blended together but that's not pokeworks fault. I can't speak too much about the incisional tastes since I got so many toppings but it blended very well together and no particular topping ruined the vibe of the dish. For toppings, I always recommend surimi salad and seaweed salad since they add so much diverse tastes to the meal. The fish itself was as fresh as poke can get in Texas in my opinion. Poke overall is just very good because of how refreshing and healthy it tastes compared to other meals you can get. One of my friends is vegan and she found this place enjoyable as well. read more

I just spent several years in hawaii where the most expensive poke I ever paid for was about $10 and got probably triple the amount that this place gives. I chose to do the pokeworks sauce on my bowl and honestly I'm not even sure if they put sauce on it. Decent food if it's what you're craving and the only poke place nearby but most likely won't be ordering from here again. read more

The poke selection is really nice and they have tons of different options- they currently offer and show different bowls if you are keto. Always pretty clean and the employees and quick and nice. The tea drinks are good as well, and the prices are decent especially for something as pricey as poke. read more

I do doordash and regularly get orders from here. everything is always smooth but this evening I got a big order from a customer, so I have my boyfriend pick it up and when we were literally on the way, all the soups started spilling everywhere. We got soup all over the passenger seat and the side of the car so we decided to go back and see if we can get more soup since how they bagged it was a disaster. My boyfriend goes back in and a female manager is so furious at him because of the spilt soup, saying it's our fault and because it was a big order she was yelling at him in front of everyone, he had soup all over his sweats. They forgot to put in a barrier for the soup so I don't see how she would yell at him. Customer or not, delivery drivers that's also representing the restaurant shouldn't be treated like that. read more

Love the food, but if you're unlucky here, you might end up being served chemicals from the melted plastic bowl since the rice is so damn hot. I first experienced that with a friend one day and was about to for a second time today. Apparently it's so hard for one of the staff members to put rice in a steel bowl first to let the rice cool down before putting it in the plastic bowl - very unhelpful. Both times, their solution to a melted plastic bowl is to double up and place another plastic bowl underneath the melted one... that doesn't solve my problem of chemicals leaching into my food. In the end, wish they are more prepared with cooled off rice so it won't melt the plastic bowl and leach chemicals. Teaching the staff that assumes you don't understand Spanish and talks shit right in front of you to be a more helpful staff member is a plus. read more

I ordered food from this restaurant after I paid for the food order and they charged me they called me canceling saying they couldn't deliver the food I asked them to cancel my order they didn't want to cancel they are taking the money from me without delivering food. When the called me saying they would not deliver and the person on the phone extremely ignorant and slammed down the phone on me. Why the let me ordered the food? Why the charge me? Why when I ordered the food the should tell me they cannot delivery to my address? What they did was take my money, they did want to cancel. They say if I want I can call my bank. I usually order from the i35 ghost kitchen location and not riverside, but I had to write this because they got my order completely wrong. Didn't add the right protein, mixins, or sauces. The Serrano sauce is the whole reason I go here and they gave me spicy Mayo. The quality here isn't as good as the i35 location which was closed today. Do yourself a favor and order there. read more

I am a regular customer at PokeWorks and enjoy the food, however on 3/20/2022 at 8 pm, I had a terrible experience. To start out, the trays used for my two orders were picked from a stack of trays from which the employee sifted through to find the ones with the least chunks of food. Even though the food never actually touches the tray, I don't think it is beyond reason to simply wipe down the trays of food that fall onto it. Then as she picked up the metal bowls used for holding the proteins, water came pouring out as if the cleaning of those bowls consisted of running water into the bowls, stacking them, and then subsequently flipping them over for the next unfortunate customers. Of course, this doesn't detract from the quality of the food, but it wasn't even the peak of terrible service. After getting the protein and mix-ins into the metal bowls, the two trays were passed down to the next employee. I specifically asked for the sriracha aioli and classic salt, but between the loud music and the earbuds in some of the employees' ears, it wouldn't be hard to believe that she didn't hear me properly. She pours in the aioli correctly and then follows it with a generous amount of some unknown sauce in both bowls. I knew that this was not the classic salt because I have ordered the classic salt on many occasions. I repeated louder that I wanted the classic salt, which she heard the second time, and poured in the classic salt. However, the issue remained that she had put in an unknown sauce. I asked her what she had put into the bowl and she outright lies to me, telling me that the two clearly different colored sauces were the same. It's one thing to admit fault and offer some way to remedy the problem, but to lie to a customer in a food context without knowing whether or not that customer has any dietary restrictions or potential allergies is not only extremely negligent but borderline dangerous and a huge lawsuit waiting to happen. It was at this moment that Pokeworks lost any future purchases from me. I plan to ensure that potential customers are fully aware of the poor and careless customer service so that they are not subject to any potentially life-threatening situations arising from the terrible employees. Judging from the Yelp reviews, I am not the only customer Pokeworks has lost due to the service. read more

I had it for the first time. I picked it up, came home and opened it - disappointment. I got a large bowl with extra salmon (total came close to $19 for a bowl of... poke? I went a head and ordered it just to try.) but the bowl looked like someone else's regular bowl and no sign of putting extra salmon in it. The fish was super fresh, quality ingredients, highly customizable (even for poke), reasonably priced, and pretty large portions. It was so awesome! I'm excited to have a new go-to poke place. I got salmon and spicy tuna (which was delightfully in chunks, rather than the usual shredded spicy tuna) on rice with....honestly basically every topping. And the bowl was perfect. Been looking for a solid Poké in Austin. Finally found my go-to choice. Def. worth it if you're looking for healthy food that tastes great and won't break the bank. Also helps that the service and place are top notch with easy parking for a quick pick up. Am particular when choosing the "build your own meal". Top marks for ingredients that are fresh & tasty, with good variety and generously served.
