    Skinny Bowl

Absolutely amazing restaurant! Staff were extremely sweet and amazing. The blonde girl (super sorry I didnt catch her name) was extremely sweet and assuring, and Epi was amazing with his service as well. The food was so surprisingly delicious, blew my expectations away completely!! Definitely coming back.

We stopped by for a late lunch and really enjoyed it! The place is super clean and modern inside, and the staff were all really friendly. I was impressed by how much variety they have. It's definitely more than most poke spot I've been to. For the winter time, they even offer warm poke bowls and ramen (which I'll be coming back for!). They also have daily deals. Bonus points for being gluten-free friendly, just give them a heads-up before ordering. We ordered from the signature bowls menu. I got the Pololi, and my husband had the Volcano Bowl. They were both packed with fresh protein and tons of flavor. Portions were generous too! Great experience overall and I'm looking forward to our next visit!

Saw this nearby and decided to check it out for the first time since I love poke. I like that they also sell boba drinks. However, they are overpriced and charge more for certain toppings. They also limit the number of toppings you can get. Sashimi doesn't taste that fresh but I like the ube mochi ice cream. There are better poke places in Austin

Loved the poke here! The store is small with seating both inside and outside. I got the skinny bowl which came with 2 proteins for $12.99. I think for the size of the bowl it was a little pricey but they filled it up to the brim with toppings. The fish tasted fresh and they had a ton of toppings to choose from. More than most poke places I've gone to. The wasabi sauce is actually spicy and the mango mayo brought some fruity freshness to the bowl. I also noticed they offered different deals throughout the week. It was $1 mochi Monday when I visited. I didn't get one but I will be coming back here again to try out their other deals.

Very kind personable people working here and amazing customer service. If you need an intro to poke they're very informative too !! So so yummy. Try the kumu if you're not afraid of a lil flavor and spice and everything nice !! Also got a zero sugar Fanta (love zero sugar options diet is blegh) thank yall so much !! Can't wait to come back !

We ate here yesterday for dinner, and very much enjoyed it. We were able to get seated immediately and without a reservation, which was nice. As for the food, it was all delicious! The ono bowl was on point, and I very much enjoyed it. My fiancé also liked her Alani bowl as well. Overall, it was a good dinner experience at Poke Austin. We will be back!

Love this place!! My 2nd time here and love trying different variations of their poke bowls. Ono last time was great with white rice and spring mix as a base as suggested by the server. This time I did just white rice and it was too much. The tempura house special is good, but definitely won't go with tempura next time since it takes up so much bowl space and I don't get enough raw. The service is great and they are doing rewards points now, just enter your phone number. If you're on this side of town, try this place for a quick bite.

The "Supreme Size" after a few bites

Probably one of the worst Poke Bowls I have ever had! The rice was hard and chewy, the proteins didn't taste fresh, the avocado ($2.00 extra) was hard and should not have been served for another 2-3 days. Like some have already noted, the portions are hilariously small compared to the price. A Poke bowl this size is half the price in many other places that I've been. I will not be returning, unless you enjoy disappointment then I certainly would not recommend you going either.

Since we live way North we only stop by this location once in a loong while if we've travelled South for some reason. Yesterday (7/5/26) my daughter was on her way back from San Antonio so that was the perfect reason for a stop. Ordering online was nice and simple but dang the food has fallen off since our last visit awhile ago! We ordered a Large Loco Moco with Eggs Easy Over ($17.99), a 4-Choice Mix Plate with Kalua Pork, BBQ Chicken, Chicken Katsu and Garlic Shrimp ($23.99) and a side order of Macaroni Salad ($3.99). When I tell you we were both so disappointed when she got home and we got ready to eat. First off, the Loco Moco wasn't completely terrible but the gravy was soo salty and as you can see its completely covered in gravy. Unfortunately, the shoyu they add when making it was soo overpowering so the main taste we got was the salty soy sauce. Other than that though the rice, mac salad and hamburger patties were good. As for mixed plate, the Chicken Katsu was literally inedible. The actual chicken meat was super thin so when they deep fried it that made it crazy hard. When I tell you that I was so glad I opted for the mix plate because I first considered getting the Katsu plate. If I would've ordered the Katsu I would've just eaten rice and mac salad. The Kalua Pork was my favorite protein. The BBQ Chicken did have a few hard pieces but it was good and so was the Garlic Shrimp. Lastly, the Macaroni Salad was pretty good and tasted like home but was the small container worth $3.99?? It barely looked like 2 scoops like it was last time. Also, while taking bites of salad, I did happen to bite into a couple inedible pieces of onion skin. This doesn't mean that we'll never return to this location. Maybe it was just an off day but I can say that it was definitely disappointing because the plates are not the cheapest.

For meats we tried a solid mix including finger steak, beef tongue, pork belly (both regular and thin), and even beef intestine. We also went through all the banchan, and my parents ordered the veggie pancake and spicy tofu soup. Overall everything was really good. We didn't get a single bad cut and everything was flavorful and cooked well. What really made this place stand out though was the service. MJ took care of us and was incredible from start to finish. Since it was our first time, she walked us through the menu and even helped cook the meats so we could actually relax and enjoy our time together. She stayed on top of the grill, swapping it out right when needed, and was always checking in to see if we needed anything or wanted more banchan. What stood out the most was how thoughtful she was with my parents. She made sure they had food on their plates without overdoing it, which was such a small detail but meant a lot. The food was great, but MJ really made the experience. Definitely coming back.

The torta quesabirria was decadent... topped with cheese and served with a cup of consume on the side. We got 3 different tacos, and the meat in each was verrry similar. I was genuinely excited to check this spot out and left severely underwhelmed. The good? Well, our server was attentive and nice. 10/10. The drinks were pretty on point for a tiki bar. The ambiance is primo, and it's genuinely a great place for a date to have drinks. The bad? The food was very lackluster. We ordered the following: Snow Crab Musubi: I honestly don't understand how you mess this up. The menu claims it comes with kewpie mayo (my favorite) and chives, but the quenelle of crab that was put on top of the rice was bone dry, falling apart, didn't appear to have any chives, and was served with a haggard lemon wedge. There was zero fat to coat the tongue, and it legitimately tasted like unseasoned crab with sushi rice that didn't even have a hint of acidity to it. As someone who takes pride in his work as a chef, at the $14 price point, this sort of rubbed me the wrong way. As a matter of fact, it felt borderline pretentious. This is coming from a guy whose mentor was the R&D chef of the best restaurant in the entire world. And no, I'm not being hyperbolic. I simply take pride in my work. This restaurant group actually has an R&D kitchen, and the best thing they can muster up is this half-baked dish? Do a light cold smoke on the crab, make a nice Knorr-based soy mayo for some umami, and top that f*cker with something to brighten it up. Preferably something that has synergy with... I don't know, Hawaiian BBQ. I felt like I was eating a lackluster Asian version of a Crab Louie Salad. It was absolutely bonkers. Slingin Shrimp: This honestly wasn't that bad, but the presentation and portion size could use a little love. The shrimp submarine makes it a bit awkward to eat. Butterfly the shrimp. It will sit nicely on top of the rice and give it more appeal. As mentioned before, the sushi rice had zero acidity to it and simply not well seasoned. Li'l Octo Karaage: It tasted great, but the guys in the kitchen need to know how to cook squid. It was far too chewy, which is unpleasant. This is a quality issue that could easily be remedied. I will also say the fryer oil appeared a little old because the fry itself had a fairly dark appearance. The drinks and ambiance were the only highlights. It has really cool decor and a cozy vibe to it. If you're looking to get a couple of nice drinks after dining out or you're pregaming? This is a solid spot. If you're looking to impress a date or a friend from out of town? That's going to be a nope from me, dawg. Admittedly, that crab musubi just irked me. So boring. No love. Just unfiltered nonsense that only the uninitiated would be impressed by. I actually applied to work at their R&D spot a few years back, and from the looks of it, they could use a guy like me. Again, I was very excited to finally dine at this spot. Their ramen establishments tend to be fairly on point. Their dashis are great. No idea what's going on at their tiki spot.
