The last time I was at the Noodle Road Japanese restaurant was a long time ago, for my friend's…read morebirthday. I came back when I was running some errands in that area. When I was there, it was not very busy, so I got a table right away. The inside of the restaurant had a classy look to while still maintaining the Japanese aesthetic to it. The menu has so many more choices than I have seen any Japanese restaurant carry. From sushi and donburi bowls to Korean chicken and Fried Nori Tacos I actually had trouble deciding what I wanted because of how much there was to choose from. I ordered the Janjangmyun with the Crazy Boy Sushi Roll. The janjangmyun was fantastic overall. The noodles were great on their own, the caramelized onions were succulent, and the black bean sauce helps make everything in the dish taste exuberant. The sushi roll was fresh, crunchy, meaty and full of flavour. The service was nice, and I liked the waitress that served me. I really look forward to coming back to Noodle Road because I want to try their K-Pop Chicken the next time I come there. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Soy garlic = unfortunately, this made me sick afterwards. Chicken was old and chewy. We knew it wasn't fresh because we've had endless amounts of Korean fried chicken at many places in Canada and in Korea. Batter was so thick, as if it was re-battered and refried. The chicken pieces were so tiny that they got lost in the batter. It was also too sweet. If you're not a fan of sweet fried chicken, don't order this. We didn't think soy garlic would be too sweet so we were quite disappointed and didn't want to send food back when many around the world barely have anything to eat. Fried rice = taste was fantastic but the portion was tiny for a plate that cost about $19! I was surprised to have onion and sauce served with it; never had it before but I didn't mind it. It didn't elevate the dish or did anything to it so it could've been left out. Service = good. The hostess was friendly. Ambience = it is small but clean. Nothing much to say about decor but what is most important is that the tables and dishes are clean.

One thing I really liked was that the portions were noticeably smaller than what you typically get at Japanese restaurants in the States--which I actually preferred. It felt much closer to the portion sizes you would get in Japan. The ramen especially surprised me. The broth and overall flavor reminded me of ramen I've had in Fukuoka, with that rich, comforting Japanese taste. The fish was also fresh and good quality, comparable to what I've had at other solid Japanese restaurants. A very pleasant surprise in Squamish. If you're craving Japanese food while traveling through the area, this is definitely a nice place to stop!

The menu is different now, but with the same high quality ingredients! It was quite busy when we arrived but we only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The sushi was brought out quickly and we ordered a feast for 3! My dad enjoyed the mini seafood/chirashi don (bowl) while my mom had the savory ramen -- omg the noodles!!! I don't eat a ton of noodles normally, but I probably had half of the bowl they served here - so chewy and absorbed the soup flavor! I had a fatty tuna belly hand roll, the spot prawn nigiri, and uni nigiri aside from sharing the ramen and the rolls we ordered for the table. Everything was AMAZING! We chatted with the owner and she was so sweet. We loved our whole experience here and can't wait to return! Parking in this area is plentiful on the street especially because most of the shops close before dinnertime!
