How have I never been here? This place rocks! From the outside, the size of the store looks deceiving, but once you're inside, you're literally in costume heaven! I even caught myself saying "Wow" out loud as soon as I entered the store. I thought by coming in at 2PM on a weekday in the middle of June that it was going to be dead. Nope! There were at least 4 people there looking for a costume in the middle of summer. Even though the owner seemed to be busy with all the costumers in the store, she was still able to provide me with 100% service! I came in looking for a rockstar-esque costume. It was very last minute, and I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to be. I decided on Slash, because it is a very easy costume. They had everything I need to make the costume happen. There was a variety of Slash wigs, top hats, and sunnies to make a good enough costume. Within 15 minutes, I was out the door and ready to rockstar it up! I can't wait for my next costume affair, so that I can have an excuse to come shopping here again!

I've known about Pok-a-dots for years but never really stopped in. But when we made a last minute decision to head off to the Breeders cup, I was in desperate need of a gorgeous hat. I walked in and was greeted by a really nice lady named Carry. The store was packed to the rim with tons of great costumes for rent or purchase. She showed me a handful of hats and Fascinators and i was lucky to find something that was just perfect. The price for the fascinator was very affordable. Parking was easy to find down the back alley and I walked in through the back door. This place is a wonderful treasure. Don't keep driving, you never know what you find. Thanks again Carry! Such a pleasure to meet you...

Thanks girls for the great costumes!

Honestly, this is the ONLY place you need for ALL your costume wishes; Period. The sweethearts there know ALL the tricks and techniques to get the best costume you'll ever have. My better half and I wanted to dress as Mexican Bandits, but had no idea how to start. The girls guided us through the whole fun process of picking out everything we needed, down to the tiniest detail. And if you're looking for the least expensive costume possible,They have those too, and cheaper than @ those temporary Halloween shops that pop up every year. It's always an adventure when you walk into this place. You'll love it.

Love this Costume store! They have everything and if hey don't they will get it for you. You can rent or buy costumes and wigs. The store is packed full of costumes. Family owned business.

It's not always easy to summon your alter-ego, especially if your regular ego has gained a few pounds, and Cat Woman is no longer an option. Polk-a-dots to the rescue. They've helped me do everything from Richard Pryor to mission-era señorita (or let's face it, señora). If you want to win the costume contest, this is where you put on your A game.

Rented my Hook costume last year and had a lot of compliments. It's the best place to rent or buy costumes in the area.

We have our own laundry facility on the premises. We maintain all of our costume rentals as far as cleaning, sewing etc. We offer new and vintage for sale as well. Please come by and check us out.

I actually didn't know he even realized it. He stopped by this store just down the hill from where we live and they were so helpful. They were able to accommodate and found just what he was looking for. Now the problem is, I swear, wherever I go she is watching me. My dogs think so too as they peek around the corner to see if she's still there. He stopped by to thank them today and they asked him to pick out something for me. He walked in the house so proud with a new gift. It just happened to be Valentine's Day, so it worked out great for him. :) Thank you so much!! On top of that, J and R were so kind and gave me some items to help us on our rebuilding journey. They showed remarkable kindness and warmth to a random customer, and they really were a highlight of my week! They took time out of their day to listen and make recommendations, and their store is a real oasis of treasures and positivity. It's well with everyone's time to stop by, check their stock and support a local business!

The are people staffed at the drive-thru line to help you unload. I find the process relatively efficient and helpful. Sometimes there was a short wait. After you donate, you get a paper receipt and a 20% coupon for up to $100 on purchases inside the store. I have never gone inside the store until yesterday. My daughter and her friend wanted to go thrifting. So we did. I ended up finding a pair of sandals/wedges for $10, looked completely unworn and a beautiful LV bag! Their selection of designer handbags is very limited. There was only one designer handbag which was the one I bought. The experience was surprisingly fun and gratifying; like finding treasure at a bargain price! I ended up using the 20% off coupon on my purchases and saved more. I also liked the recycling aspect where instead of buying something new, buying something pre-owned which in return helps the environment. I got to shop and felt good about my purchase. LOL. There is free parking on site right outside the store which made it pretty convenient.

I looked at them for the last time and remembered the hike when Gloria, Sathy, and I got caught in a flash flood from the melted snow from Mount Baldy. Yeah... Gloria started floating downstream and Sathy jumped in to save her while I clung to some tree roots for dear life and watched a little boy get swept away in the current, too... Ah... fun times... Gotta make room for new memories and clean, updated shoes! Niki S. recommended this location of Savers because they have a drive-through donation system. Just roll your window down and they'll help you. However, when I got there, the customer in front of me had so many bags that I got out of my car and started unloading my stuff onto the pavement. The worker offered me a receipt - yes, please - and he took my items! Thank you for your good service to our community and our environment!

Date of visit: December 5, 2025…read more Selections: 1 Thick Book Experience: Was looking at my long list of places I want to go to and this was just 5 minutes away from where I was at (Home Goods down the street). So I booked it over here to check it out. Books were conveniently located right by the door, so I browsed my way through them before tackling the rest of the store. They had their Christmas items displayed by the door and near the cashier as well and then the rest of the store had mostly furniture and household items with a boutique in the back and other clothes items. Not really my kind of thrift store since it felt like they had really nicer, higher quality items that you wouldn't find at a Goodwill, which isn't a bad thing. I was just surprised that they didn't take cash since I usually encounter cash only places here and there, but not strictly card only. Glad I got to check this off of my list of places to go.

There is usually a small selection of St. John knits in the back, but ultimately this store lacks in style and customer service. The blond lady, in particular (didn't catch her name) was quite rude and employees in general do not greet you or really offer any semblance of customer service. There are a multitude of second hand stores in the area with greater selection and much better customer service

Prices are around $7 to $10 for items, such as the Size 6 Talbots women's work pants I picked up (my luck). The tableware and kitchen acoutrements are worth perusing if you like those things. Rather too many old books and not enough of the utility items that people want to buy second hand. In terms of service, the young woman is very pleasant. Otherwise I had a palpable sense of a frontier small town with a closed knit white community where non-white are treated as suspicious. History lives large in these parts, it's only a century ago that the Europeans came here from the eastern US. As well, this is attached to a women's club which is an organization reflecting the "settler" ethos. Anyway I wouldn't bother again, and would look through shops in Pasadena for more choice. Also I had a whole car load of things to donate but I decided to take it back to LA where the charitable causes seem more pressing (than a women's club in a white enclave city which participated until recently in U.S. apartheid) and the population is more diverse.

Just like the Bargain Box and Huntington Collection, I can't call the Treasure Fair a thrift shop since it's not like a typical thrift shop, but more like second-hand boutique. You can tell that the volunteers take the time to highlight the quality of the available merchandise, especially the housewares and decor. It's very evident that all of the treasures for sale were meticulously cleaned and staged by the hardworking staff. There's also a pretty good selection of clothing for all ages. The Treasure Fair is a nonprofit managed by the Assistance League of Pasadena, and one of their worthy endeavors is Operation School Bell, which provides much needed clothing as well as school supplies such as backpacks and books to children in need in neighboring local schools. There's a very small parking lot but there should be plenty of street parking available if needed. Also, be aware that the store has limited hours since it's managed by volunteers. It's only open four days a week, Wednesdays thru Saturdays, from 11am to 2pm. Plan to check out The Treasure Fair to give much needed treasures a new. home.
