This review may be colored by the fact that I had to undertake a monumental drive to get to this location, under the blazing SoCal-summer-day-at-noon sun, but the reality is that this store is mid at best. I understand it's a second hand store but I have seen Goodwills or even Salvation Army stores with better layouts and options. I had heard from a fellow Yelper that she had found an incredible purse here in great condition and at such a good price, and I decided to go and check the store for myself and left unimpressed. If you're local, I guess it is worth checking out their options (especially the buy 4 books, 5th one is free one), but honestly, other than some good solid volume of The Prince Of Tennis (vol 3) that was in pristine condition, everything else was average at best.

Prices here are not consistent and a bit too high often.

Getting to high for prices and not consistent. I saw a dollar tree cup that's $1.25 at Savers for $3. Seriously?!!!

Been donating to this location for years and was satisfied until recently. It's been a bit hard for me to find places to donate that can go directly to a good and trustworthy organization (please send me any messages if you have any recommendations!) I'm not sure if because the economy, Tiktok or any other factor, but the prices have gone up drastically. This isn't on savers but thrifting is so much different than how it was 10 years ago. This is sad to see since now quality pieces are being bought at the discount price and sold online for 10x the amount. Racks are filled up with fast fashion. I find freshly used cups/trash from store goers amongst the shelves of items being sold, such as Starbucks) Hopefully, it was by chance it was a bad day when I went but it has happened multiple times.

They have store well organized. The prices are a little high, but you can shop color of the week and get 50% off.

If you are a fan of the Huntington Collection in Pasadena, you'll be sure to love the Bargain Box. Just like the Huntington Collection, I can't call it a thrift shop since it's not like any thrift shops I've been to! Looks more like an expensive antique shop when you step inside. I was blown away by the quality of the available merchandise, especially the housewares and decor. It's very evident that all of the pieces on sale were meticulously cleaned and staged by the hardworking staff. All of the furniture and housewares are excellent condition, not to mention very well priced. Make a point to visit before Halloween! The store is all decked out with Halloween decor! The Bargain Box is managed by the Assistance League of Arcadia, and one of their worthy endeavors is Operation School Bell, which provides much needed clothing as well as school supplies such as backpacks and books to children in need in neighboring local schools. There's a small parking lot but there should be plenty of street parking available if needed. Also, be aware that the store has limited hours since it's managed by volunteers. It's only open two days a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 10am to 1pm.

Clothing, jewelry, books...they carry a little bit of everything here. I enjoy browsing the racks and shelves even when I leave empty handed. Good to know: They are only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I suggest subscribing to their email list so you know the weekly happenings before you visit. The lot is on the smaller side and it fills up pretty quickly. There is plenty of street parking on Live Oak, but that also fills up on Wednesdays. If you arrive a little before opening there is usually a short line outside to get in, but there is never a mad rush to get in or anything, so don't let the line scare you away!

I am slowly replacing items we lost in the Eaton fire, and not only did I find some nice jewelry pieces, they had a lovely vintage Hawaiian dress that brought back a flood of nostalgic memories. They showed remarkable kindness and warmth to a random customer, and they really were a highlight of my week! So I booked it over here to check it out. Books were conveniently located right by the door, so I browsed my way through them before tackling the rest of the store. They had their Christmas items displayed by the door and near the cashier as well and then the rest of the store had mostly furniture and household items with a boutique in the back and other clothes items. Not really my kind of thrift store since it felt like they had really nicer, higher quality items that you wouldn't find at a Goodwill, which isn't a bad thing. I was just surprised that they didn't take cash since I usually encounter cash only places here and there, but not strictly card only. Glad I got to check this off of my list of places to go.

There is usually a small selection of St. John knits in the back, but ultimately this store lacks in style and customer service.
