I have been to this Savers many times in the past to drop off donations. The drop-off process is very easy as there is a drive-thru line. The are people staffed at the drive-thru line to help you unload. I find the process relatively efficient and helpful. Sometimes there was a short wait. After you donate, you get a paper receipt and a 20% coupon for up to $100 on purchases inside the store. I have never gone inside the store until yesterday. My daughter and her friend wanted to go thrifting. So we did. I ended up finding a pair of sandals/wedges for $10, looked completely unworn and a beautiful LV bag! Their selection of designer handbags is very limited. There was only one designer handbag which was the one I bought. The experience was surprisingly fun and gratifying; like finding treasure at a bargain price! I ended up using the 20% off coupon on my purchases and saved more. I also liked the recycling aspect where instead of buying something new, buying something pre-owned which in return helps the environment. I got to shop and felt good about my purchase. LOL. There is free parking on site right outside the store which made it pretty convenient. read more

Donation in Arcadia, Los Angeles, California... It was time to donate my hiking boots. I looked at them for the last time and remembered the hike when Gloria, Sathy, and I got caught in a flash flood from the melted snow from Mount Baldy. Yeah... It was freezing cold water that poured down the slopes. Gloria started floating downstream and Sathy jumped in to save her while I clung to some tree roots for dear life and watched a little boy get swept away in the current, too... Ah... fun times... Gotta make room for new memories and clean, updated shoes! Niki S. recommended this location of Savers because they have a drive-through donation system. Just roll your window down and they'll help you. However, when I got there, the customer in front of me had so many bags that I got out of my car and started unloading my stuff onto the pavement. This review may be colored by the fact that I had to undertake a monumental drive to get to this location, under the blazing SoCal-summer-day-at-noon sun, but the reality is that this store is mid at best. I understand it's a second hand store but I have seen Goodwills or even Salvation Army stores with better layouts and options. I had heard from a fellow Yelper that she had found an incredible purse here in great condition and at such a good price, and I decided to go and check the store for myself and left unimpressed. If you're local, I guess it is worth checking out their options (especially the buy 4 books, 5th one is free one), but honestly, other than some good solid volume of The Prince Of Tennis (vol 3) that was in pristine condition, everything else was average at best. read more

Visited this location for the first time yesterday with a friend while our daughters were inside shopping. We walked towards the door and passed two huge bins full of paperback books. Nothing special about the bins - just piles of books. I pick up one book and look at the cover and I immediately get a shout from a worker who is, I guess, processing donations about 25 feet away. Not working on this bin of books. I can't touch these books, he says. Okay, I said. You can't even look at them or be near them, he says, giving me a glare you save for someone who's breaking into your house. A second guy joins him and offers up his glare as well. These guys are very protective of the 500 books in this bin, and especially of the one book I picked up, it seems. They, in fact, look like they'd like to kick our asses for standing near the paperback books. Just to add: We didn't put anything out of order, mess up any arrangement, damage the books, or do anything other than pick one up and look at its cover, which, last time I checked (and 5000 times before that), is standard behavior at a thrift store. Not wanting to get in a fistfight with two guys in the middle of a Sunday, I let them know that I was not planning to further molest this obvious miracle of organization and walked on. So let this be a lesson to you: At Savers, huge, messy piles of books in a box on the sidewalk are NOT for you. Don't look at them. Don't even stand near them. read more

Ok, yes I definitely like a bargain deal and yes since I live near this place, I had to check why it's always busy. I've donated to savers multiple times in the past when goodwill was not an option. I've noticed they had so many nice things sold but the pricing is ridiculous sometimes! When entering it looks like a large Ross, just the color scheme is different. They have so many things such as shoes, clothing, furniture, toys, electronics, books, etc. of course most (actually almost all) are used or looked used. I've heard from others they have donated never used or new items to Savers, but those tend to be priced almost the same as if it was never purchased (or like 10% off). In addition, I've noticed that when the deals are good, they tend to be sold right away. I've seen very nice furniture there but when you think it's available, there's a SOLD sticker on it! After looking around, I just don't think it's worth paying less than what the quality is. Shoes are scuffled and a bit dirty, toys are broken or sticky, furniture is damaged or old, and electronics are outdated. But when you do find that diamond in the mess, you are the lucky person I think about and envy or wish I got to it before you! read more

Unfortunately savers like goodwill is becoming extremely expensive. Multiple pieces of furniture that are heavily used sell higher than brand new ikea furniture. Found multiple used toys that are cheaper brand new at target and wal mart. The cost of goods are literally free and the only overhead will be labor and the facility and utility. This savers used to have excellent deals. Now we are better off buying new at a department store...or online. read more

Saver's donation drop-off is just outside to the far right of the thrift store and it was fast to drop items off with the employees there. I was looking for some good condition items, particularly shirts, and sadly I didn't find anything. A lot of fabric pilling seen on shirts, super used. Not worth the higher pricing obviously and same can be said for their good condition clothing items which are overpriced. I've seen Goodwill with lower prices and better quality, so that's why I usually stick to Goodwill as one of my go-to thrifting stops. read more

They have store well organized. The prices are a little high, but you can shop color of the week and get 50% off.

There are no fitting rooms so people are in front of mirrors trying clothes on and there are clothes piled around the mirrors. I was wearing kind of bulky clothes and wanted to try on and buy a few summer dresses (which is what I was shopping for). When I asked if they had fitting rooms, they said no. When I asked if they had a return policy and they said no, but they had an exchange policy. So I found myself looking for a mirror to try and attempt to make choices based on my measurements, a lady came and told me bluntly that the store was closed and to head to the front right now. It was 8:01pm. I work retail so I understand. I also could never imagine myself or my coworkers or managers approaching customers so bluntly like that. Also, I saw a plain/average dress for $25 and $50 for a flannel. That's crazy expensive for secondhand business that runs on donations! Idk what happened to savers. I used to do 100% of my shopping at their stores and donated here every time. It was great! Now every time I come I'm just more and more disappointed. Been donating to this location for years and was satisfied until recently. It's been a bit hard for me to find places to donate that can go directly to a good and trustworthy organization (please send me any messages if you have any recommendations!) I'm not sure if because the economy, Tiktok or any other factor, but the prices have gone up drastically. This isn't on savers but thrifting is so much different than how it was 10 years ago. This is sad to see since now quality pieces are being bought at the discount price and sold online for 10x the amount. Racks are filled up with fast fashion. If my review allows just one person to be more cautious when they go then I'll be happy but I went back to check if they have improved the safety at all and they haven't. There were no new cameras in the lot despite staff knowing very well that smash and grabs are a common occurrence. The fact a car with bullet holes was trailing me in the parking lot when my car got busted shows how dangerous this area is. If you still want to shop here PARK DIRECTLY across the glass windows or directly across the donation center. Personally, if I came back here I'd just get someone to drop me off and not deal with the potential of getting robbed and parking in the small lot. Unlike Goodwill and The Salvation Army, Savers is a mega for-profit thrift store chain and this is the only location in the 626 (San Gabriel Valley) area. Think of Savers as Walmart but for thrift stores. [Parking - 4-star]: Free private parking lot, but the lot was somewhat packed on Saturday afternoon. [Size - 5-star]: This store is HUGE and is probably bigger than some of Ross & T.J.Maxx stores in the area. [Selection - 4-star]: Impressive toy car / doll / action figure / selection for kids. Board game section had a good selection and the electronic section even had few TVs. Other sections include furniture, glassware, books, jewelry, watches, used game console (saw two used GameCube consoles), etc. [Organization - 3-star]: While most of sections are fairly organized, I couldn't understand what each colored price tag means and there were only two signs stating yellow tags = additional 50% off. [Price - 3-star]: Yes it is a thrift store, but that does not mean everything is "cheap." For instance, some of used books were $5+ (another mom & pop thrift store sold each book for $1.49 for soft cover and $2.49 for hard cover) and used GameCube consoles were priced at $89 and $99. Sure there was a "buy 4 books get a 5th free", but that was not exactly an enticing deal. [Quality - 3-star]: Most of used appliances appeared to be in better shape than Goodwill's, but finding unique high quality items here is like finding a needle in a haystack. I like Savers better than Goodwill, but size is only more relevant when it comes to clothing. Location: Located on the SE corner of E. Live Oak and Santa Anita Ave.. Believe it or not, this place use to be a Ralphs back in the days. Order Of Operation: 1) Drive up to the curve 2) Get out of the car 3) Staffer will greet you and push a cart to you to unload your donation items. 4) After it's unloaded, staffer will thank you for supporting and ask you if you like a coupon to be used at the store. 5) Go to the store to check out their stuff or ride off to the sunset. Service: Service is great. Friendly staffers that like their job. That's all I have to say about that. Donation For Thought: No doubt I'll come back to donate. It's easy and convenient to donate. Everything is overpriced I was looking for some used toys buy a small toy truck is $5+ which i find expensive for a small toy that is used and dirty also missing pieces, walked around the store the clothing is very over used and about the same or more then marshalls or Burlington. The name "Savers" is laughable because their prices on just about everything is RIDICULOUSLY high!! It's highway robbery. Free items donated aren't sorted by acceptable vs not sellable. I saw faded, stretched, and stained t-shirts for $10.99. Racks of outdated womenswear were priced anywhere from $15.99 and up. Brand new at Target or Ross is less expensive. The shelves are stocked with so much stuff and the racks are stuffed so tight that you can't even sort through. Thrifting is not as enjoyable anymore as they're all price gouging. UGH!! read more

I found this place by accident and was initially quite impressed. The place is kept neat and clean and almost gives a 'department' store feel (well, unlike any thrift store I'd been to). I had liked the fact that they have/had a program where certain donated items would earn $ back to that donations non-profits (like churches and such). They also offered 'coupons' with every donation that you make. I have found a number of unique items there. The only issue really, is that whomever is assigned to price their items, particularly the clothing, prices to high. These clothes are donated and used yet many can be bought 'new' at retail stores. Otherwise I do like the place, despite the 'horrible' parking issue (just full quite often, which shows how popular it is though). read more

Hands down the worst employees I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. My husband was threatened by an employee there last week. In his face and telling him to hit him so he can kick his ass. He was pulling a pallet to the back room and yelling at customers to move out of the way, they often scream as they pull the merchandise to the back room. I am the one who made a comment about his yelling that he didn't like, and he stopped cold in his tracks and marched over and straight to my husband's face. Long story short, we weren't asked any questions and we were escorted out of the store by the whole staff! Humiliating and despicable! I called their main office and left a message, complain as we were still in the parking lot. Welp, it's been exactly a week and no call back! Safe to say I won't be shopping and their location again! 1/5 Stars - Bad Experience at Savers I'm really disappointed with my recent visit to Savers thrift store today. I've been to thrift stores before and always had a good time finding cool, second-hand stuff at the savers in Arcadia . But this time was different due to an encounter with the employee when it came down to paying. When I was at the self checkout, an employee accused me of switching the price tags on the clothes I wanted to buy. He just changed the tags to make me pay more. I tried to explain that I wasn't sure why he wouldn't accept the price as is, but he wouldn't listen. He continued to budge and refused to let me pay for my items... personally I find this troublesome because you know as being a thrift girly you spend at LEAST good 2 hours scouting for good AFFORDABLE items. And of course, I wouldn't have let all my good VALUABLE TIME wasted; so I ended up paying "full price". What also really bothered me was that I think the employee judged me in a way... He didn't check anyone else's stuff, just mine. It felt as if like he was targeting me and just biding at my items??. That's not fair and it's not right in so many levels. Thrift stores like Savers are supposed to be cheap and help the community. They're meant for people who can't afford new stuff or who want to find unique, second-hand items. But Savers is pricing things too high. It's like they're trying to make a profit off people who can't afford it. I ended up paying way more for the items I wanted, which was way more than I wanted to spend. I left the store feeling frustrated and upset. I'm not going back to Savers. I hope they change how they treat customers and price their items. If you're looking for a thrift store that's fair and affordable, I would not recommend Savers. Security guard thinks we are STEALING for checking the items closely. !!! The security guy kept following us the whole time we were there. He was right behind us in every row we went. Mind you we've been attending this place for almost three years. We stopped going because of the overpriced items, decided to give it a try again. Apparently the security guy thinks we're stealing because we have a cart full of items that me and my bf inspect to check for any rips or if the price is worth it. Long donation lines. Slow, rude, inefficient, teenage workers. I wouldn't recommend donating them any high value items or fast drop off based off my personal experience. (7/28. 4:30) Savers donation center used to be efficient. Now they replaced their normal workers with rabid teenagers, especially that short rude white boy, yelling and not pulling his weight. Does Savers have enough money to hire dead weights? Seems so. To management, if your strategy is to hire teens to save "money" on labor, don't have them manage the line or the crew, have them only move items. Untrained youth at least have backs if their mouth is untrained. Have a real adult manage them. Have a real adult manage customers. I've never seen so many workers, so disorganized from the white boy yelling at customers and the crew. If you're going to hire animals, train them. read more
