I have been to this Savers many times in the past to drop off donations. The drop-off process is…read morevery easy as there is a drive-thru line. The are people staffed at the drive-thru line to help you unload. I find the process relatively efficient and helpful. Sometimes there was a short wait. After you donate, you get a paper receipt and a 20% coupon for up to $100 on purchases inside the store. I have never gone inside the store until yesterday. My daughter and her friend wanted to go thrifting. So we did. I ended up finding a pair of sandals/wedges for $10, looked completely unworn and a beautiful LV bag! Their selection of designer handbags is very limited. There was only one designer handbag which was the one I bought. The experience was surprisingly fun and gratifying; like finding treasure at a bargain price! I ended up using the 20% off coupon on my purchases and saved more. I also liked the recycling aspect where instead of buying something new, buying something pre-owned which in return helps the environment. I got to shop and felt good about my purchase. LOL. There is free parking on site right outside the store which made it pretty convenient.

Donation in Arcadia, Los Angeles, California…read more.. It was time to donate my hiking boots. I looked at them for the last time and remembered the hike when Gloria, Sathy, and I got caught in a flash flood from the melted snow from Mount Baldy. Yeah... It was freezing cold water that poured down the slopes. Gloria started floating downstream and Sathy jumped in to save her while I clung to some tree roots for dear life and watched a little boy get swept away in the current, too... Ah... fun times... Gotta make room for new memories and clean, updated shoes! Niki S. recommended this location of Savers because they have a drive-through donation system. Just roll your window down and they'll help you. However, when I got there, the customer in front of me had so many bags that I got out of my car and started unloading my stuff onto the pavement. The worker offered me a receipt - yes, please - and he took my items! Thank you for your good service to our community and our environment!

If you are a fan of the Huntington Collection in Pasadena, you'll be sure to love the Bargain Box. Just like the Huntington Collection, I can't call it a thrift shop since it's not like any thrift shops I've been to! Looks more like an expensive antique shop when you step inside. I was blown away by the quality of the available merchandise, especially the housewares and decor. It's very evident that all of the pieces on sale were meticulously cleaned and staged by the hardworking staff. All of the furniture and housewares are excellent condition, not to mention very well priced. Make a point to visit before Halloween! The store is all decked out with Halloween decor! The Bargain Box is managed by the Assistance League of Arcadia, and one of their worthy endeavors is Operation School Bell, which provides much needed clothing as well as school supplies such as backpacks and books to children in need in neighboring local schools. There's a small parking lot but there should be plenty of street parking available if needed. Also, be aware that the store has limited hours since it's managed by volunteers. It's only open two days a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 10am to 1pm.

Clothing, jewelry, books...they carry a little bit of everything here. I enjoy browsing the racks and shelves even when I leave empty handed. Good to know: They are only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I suggest subscribing to their email list so you know the weekly happenings before you visit. The lot is on the smaller side and it fills up pretty quickly. There is plenty of street parking on Live Oak, but that also fills up on Wednesdays. If you arrive a little before opening there is usually a short line outside to get in, but there is never a mad rush to get in or anything, so don't let the line scare you away!

I actually didn't know he even realized it. He stopped by this store just down the hill from where we live and they were so helpful. They were able to accommodate and found just what he was looking for. Now the problem is, I swear, wherever I go she is watching me. My dogs think so too as they peek around the corner to see if she's still there. He stopped by to thank them today and they asked him to pick out something for me. He walked in the house so proud with a new gift. It just happened to be Valentine's Day, so it worked out great for him. :) Thank you so much!! He enjoyed shopping at your store (he's the shopper in the family) as much as I loved the gift.

I am slowly replacing items we lost in the Eaton fire, and not only did I find some nice jewelry pieces, they had a lovely vintage Hawaiian dress that brought back a flood of nostalgic memories. On top of that, J and R were so kind and gave me some items to help us on our rebuilding journey. They showed remarkable kindness and warmth to a random customer, and they really were a highlight of my week! They took time out of their day to listen and make recommendations, and their store is a real oasis of treasures and positivity. It's well with everyone's time to stop by, check their stock and support a local business!

Prices are around $7 to $10 for items, such as the Size 6 Talbots women's work pants I picked up (my luck). The tableware and kitchen acoutrements are worth perusing if you like those things. Rather too many old books and not enough of the utility items that people want to buy second hand. In terms of service, the young woman is very pleasant. Otherwise I had a palpable sense of a frontier small town with a closed knit white community where non-white are treated as suspicious. History lives large in these parts, it's only a century ago that the Europeans came here from the eastern US. As well, this is attached to a women's club which is an organization reflecting the "settler" ethos. Anyway I wouldn't bother again, and would look through shops in Pasadena for more choice. Also I had a whole car load of things to donate but I decided to take it back to LA where the charitable causes seem more pressing (than a women's club in a white enclave city which participated until recently in U.S. apartheid) and the population is more diverse.

Date of visit: December 5, 2025…read more Selections: 1 Thick Book Experience: Was looking at my long list of places I want to go to and this was just 5 minutes away from where I was at (Home Goods down the street). So I booked it over here to check it out. Books were conveniently located right by the door, so I browsed my way through them before tackling the rest of the store. They had their Christmas items displayed by the door and near the cashier as well and then the rest of the store had mostly furniture and household items with a boutique in the back and other clothes items. Not really my kind of thrift store since it felt like they had really nicer, higher quality items that you wouldn't find at a Goodwill, which isn't a bad thing. I was just surprised that they didn't take cash since I usually encounter cash only places here and there, but not strictly card only. Glad I got to check this off of my list of places to go.

There is usually a small selection of St. John knits in the back, but ultimately this store lacks in style and customer service. The blond lady, in particular (didn't catch her name) was quite rude and employees in general do not greet you or really offer any semblance of customer service. There are a multitude of second hand stores in the area with greater selection and much better customer service
