absolutely love this place. the owner is so nice and willing to negotiate prices if its too steep for you. when i got to talking to him he said he hates thinking about money and just wants people to have nice stuff. got a beautiful wood mirror at a steal and i love to go as often as i can to see whats new. the big furniture pieces they get in are very pretty but what i really like are all the weird little trinkets. forever regretting the candle snuffer i saw months ago that was shaped like an old man's head that i didnt get. you never know what youre going to find here and i love that! read more

Date of visit: May 4, 2026 Experience: Been wanting to check this place out for awhile and we finally got a chance to stop by. We took a quick walk around and didn't see anything we really wanted to get. There was a corner with some books that I wanted to check out but the bottom shelves were blocked by a huge bean bag chair that I didn't want to move for fear of knocking something over. 1/14/26 On our way to the storage to grab my bread knife & spotted this shop. It peaked my interest so had Hubby stop so I may peruse. It's pretty neatly organized & found mostly vintage items. Noticed this Sunbeam stand mixer (photo) for $25 & probably would've been convinced to buy if the cord was available. The kindly & TALL shopkeeper of a man helped & tried to find it & even looked in the back to see if a bread knife was not yet inventoried. Just my luck (or lack there of), none. Lots of nifty items that stood the test if time to give new life if purchased. It was joyful to see some items that I may have seen or encountered in the past, probably from my mom's or grandma's era. Also, good to see a glass pie (for baking) container for $2, the tin for a $1, good value. Would've stayed longer but Hubby was getting antsy. Bread knife, no dice. Yesterday was my third visit but my first time purchasing anything. Sometimes it's like that! I knew it was a great spot but hadn't found anything that needed to come home with me so I kept returning and will keep coming back. This store has unique household items, one of a kind art & a few clothing racks with little gems for you to find. I had a chat with the store owner and his positivity and helpfulness were incredible! I had a very positive experience here a few months ago. I lost my home in the Eaton Fire and all my belongings, and was on a search to furnish a new place I moved too recently. They gave me great deals on 3 pieces I bought there and they delivered them. An artist there that they work with also repaired and renewed a coffee table I bought . I was accused of stealing from them yesterday. I went into the store with my grandma and saw a spirit halloween looking wig on a mannequin that was twisted so I fixed it. I proceed to shop for some time and end up buying items for me and my grandma. The cashier asked about the wig at checkout. It was not on the head. I told her I remember it being there because I had adjusted it when I walked in. She then recommended we go to the store next door. We go to the next store over and a man walks in and tells me that I've stolen the wig and to give it back. He proceeds to show camera footage of me adjusting the wig and then the video pauses. He tells me there isn't any footage after that. I showed him my purse, patted myself down and also went through my grandmas car with him to show I didn't take it. As a black woman, it made me feel weird and scared. I dont know how store cameras work but why was there not footage of me walking away or any other cameras in or outside the store. He apologized after but Im not going into that establishment again. Making a purchase and then getting that treatment was off. The cashier seemed nice but she might have told him after I left that she thought I took it. There were other shoppers in the store while we were there. read more

If the owner is there he will give you deals. But if the recently old lady 80's+ ... watch out ! She is a volunteer worker who is rude and is raising the prices all the time. There are items that have been there for at least for months and truly not collectible at all and she keeps raising the prices and will not negotiate. Such a great find! My mom and I love finding unique vintage stores. Happened to stumble past this store and went in for a peek. First 5 mins found great items to furnish my mom's new apartment. Got a couple items all for under $400 dollars. Even the cat claimed the chair. George was beyond great! Was able to get it delivered for a small cost. Friendly, polite service! I rang the bell for service at least 4 times. When I turned around, I saw that the owner was inside the store, shelving books. I'm not sure if he did this intentionally or not. So I've been on this epic quest for a thrift store that has actual good stuff (you know, not just old VHS tapes and broken lamps), and finally, I hit the jackpot! Cottage treasures didn't have a Yelp page yet, but it's like a secret treasure trove just waiting to be discovered. Think "thrift store heaven" with furniture, art pieces, and more knick-knacks than your grandma's attic--except these are actually worth bringing home. We stumbled across a gorgeous vintage solid wood hutch (the kind you tell your friends you "rescued" like it's a stray puppy), and the owner gave us a deal that made us feel like we were stealing it (in a legal, no-police-called way). Unfortunately I tried to give them my money and they didn't want it. Had a couch I liked and they offered a delivery which charged 70$, because I live a mile away I wanted to try and figure out if I could somehow avoid paying an extra 70, I didn't buy it that day. I got sick and returned a few days later, hauling guy outta town. Come back that Monday and saw the lights on and wanted to pay and put the couch on hold, woman waved me away aggressively. So I returned Tuesday, and was ready to pay delivery, now delivery wasn't available. Ok. Went in my car and figured out I could rent a truck within half hour (after the woman told me snidely to use task rabbit) went back inside just to be sure someone would help me load it on. There were 2 adults working. Woman tries to tell me I need to come back because another specific person has to help get it in the truck. Then asked me when I thought I'd get the truck because they closed at 5:30, it was 5. I said that their sign said 7. I tell you this woman really was pretty uptight (stick up her ass) and not at all trying to work with me. I literally am trying to give you some sales. The volunteer YaYa is great very kind and helpful I could see him embarrassed wanting to help but he's just a volunteer. Was also thinking of buying more furniture, some people really just make it hard for themselves. It was a very challenging situation to not read this woman to absolute filth, I told them I'd think about coming back but hell no. Dreadful. Then I came on here only to see they have a rep there for this kinda behavior. I tell you people go through stuff and act wild but with this reputation, buyer beware. Go to Restore better. read more

I came in here to see what I could find. I came across some generic Rus, the golf clubs, I thought. Hey, this is something. Perhaps I can buy here and go play golf. On the specific day I was wearing jewelry and I had my leather wallet, although I am still on a budget, so when I went to the register and asked the lady how much for these, even though I had heard her say three dollars to the previous gentleman. She then said five each plus tax. The odd part was she didn't tell him that text just me. Anyways. I didn't take them. I came back in today for them and she tried charging me $10 each. I said I came into these ago and you try charging me five and she gave me a smirk. The sad thing is I came in to talk to the same lady originally and she had mentioned she was homeless. I don't understand the audacity. She has to still be rude and tried to call me. I asked my Neighbor if he had gone in there, and they also didn't have much nice things to say about that store. I was in search of an antique dresser for my son's room and found not one but two beautiful dressers at this charming shop this afternoon. The owner and his friend greeted me with warmth and hospitality. Both dressers were very reasonably priced and they offered delivery. I also purchased a beautifully framed and numbered piece of artwork. If you're looking to find treasures and get full service, this is your place. I've shopped here a few times but I cannot recommend because of the women that work there and the loud, disturbing conversations I've been subjected to. Today I had to leave the store because it became such an unsafe space - the women were discussing how men from my country of origin are "rapey," among other completely racist comments. read more

Definitely my new favorite thrift store! I actually had to go to the DMV and while waiting in line I discovered Cottage Treasures right across the street.
