After having several bad experiences with the Letter Carrier, it was time to drop them and try someone else. Parking is available in front. Not too much space, but generally they're not too busy. So what makes this place special? 1) Giant new warehouse - they just opened a new facility in 2013. 2) A tracking system that ACTUALLY WORKS! Craziness. 3) They accept all (non-hazardous) items - they don't just arbitrarily set up some "forbidden items list" and reject items without having the courtesy to contact you. This my second review after doing business with them for about 2 years now. Starting to recognize a couple of friendly faces there. P2P staff is still professional and efficient. Emails re delivered parcels comes promptly the same day. Email communications with them are also answered within a day or two. The wait to get your package is insane. There were over 30 people in th line-up the second time I came. They are extremely slow. Everyone in line was unhappy (but friendly). These guys will lose their business to places with better hours, service etc. Don't use this place if you are in (a bit of a) rush to get your packages. I paid the senders extra for overnight delivery, but it took P2P multiple days to process the packages. I got an email it was ready, drove to Pt Robers and then the unfriendly lady told me their systems were down. She just stood there, didn't care that I just drove an hour to get there, was in line for 45min at the border... She didn't even TRY to find my packages! No efford whatsoever. So I go home, keeping an eye on their website, but three days later, still nothing. I end up calling them, they took all my info, told me they would track down my packages and call me back. Of course, no phone call. I call again. Put on hold for 13 minutes (!) and FINALLY they found my packages. I suggest using In and Out parcel which is right beside Point to Point for several reasons. First, during the Covid19 breakout, In and Out was giving free storage of parcels until end of April while Point to Point refused. They still charged parcels being left with them after the 14 days. When I emailed to the owner, Beth, about helping Canadians out during this challenging time, she showed no compassion or empathy whatsoever. It is either pay for the daily charge to be left at their premise or pay an exorbitant amount to have it mailed to your home in Canada. I was appalled by Point to Point's willingness to help out especially when I expressed to Beth that many people lost jobs and extra money was hard to come by and if she could just keep the parcel without charging until April 30th. She was unwilling and she suggested we still cross the border and pick up. In and Out is open 24/7 and that is where we will be sending all our parcels from now on. read more

Service here has really gotten worse. Looks like they have become a victim of their own success. You used to get fantastic service, and a smile, and now you wait in a long line and deal with the most robotic uninteresting personalities. Notifications are inconsistent, you get them 90% of the time... the rest of the time, well you better track it, or pay storage. It was a horrendous 1.5 hour wait, made better by the flirty woman behind me... but don't bother here, I signed up with In & Out parcel a block away... Its 24hrs!!! and no line up... This is the weirdest operation. They have the BEST location in Point Roberts because they are the closest to the border so you can park on the Canadian side and walk over to skip idling in line (as long as you can carry what you've ordered) and be back at your car in under a half hour, but they seem to just hate customers and hate the business they're in. Their website is full of "you must" and "we will not" and upon arrival you are greeted with another sign that says "DO NOT" and they can't even be bothered to clearly tell you which door to go in. The customer service inside is surly, you are curtly told how much it will be in American and commanded to "sign" for your parcels. If you pay with Canadian money, the clerk will tell you how much (more) it was with your change, so you're caught off guard. Smiles are extinct at this place, although I have to admit I think in three visits I did once hear the word "please." You come out feeling like they just did you a favour to give you your parcel. I appreciate that some customers are jerks in this business; I've watched people fling all their packaging in one heap on the floor - I mean, would it kill ya to take it home and dispose of it properly?? and I always wonder if everyone discloses at the border (they almost never charge duty anymore by the way). But I'm not a jerk and it's important to me to not be treated as if I am one. For me it's well worth going the extra few steps to the Letter Carrier for a friendlier experience. Even a bad day at the Letter Carrier leaves you feeling better than a visit to this place. TSB is also very friendly and efficient but the distance is too far if your parcels have any weight to them (ask me how I know!). This company should just subcontract their space to the competition and avoid customer contact at all costs. read more

I go here because it's walking distance from the border, saves me some border hassle and waits. Even though the staff are a little slower than those at TSB and Letter Carrier, the lineups are rare and short, prices are reasonable but they can be inconsistent in emailing you so check your tracking #'s. They have worked great for us. I picked up our 3rd package yesterday. I parked on the Canada side, walked there, and was back to my car 15 minutes after I left it. The border is much faster on foot, and the store is only 400 meters past the border. My package was small, so walking was no problem. There was also no wait for me at the store. The staff was very friendly. We will keep using them. I just wanted to add a note. We had a package arrive last week and got notification about it. We waited to go down because we were expecting another one to be delivered this week. It showed delivery on Wednesday, but on Friday, we still hadn't gotten anything from them, so we called. They were easy to work with. Not only did they find my package within a couple of minutes, but they didn't charge me for it. I went to pick them up, and they didn't charge me for either one. I tried to pay, and they refused. And while I was in the office, a lady came out of the back and introduced herself, saying that she was the one on the phone earlier in the day. Then I heard a voice from the back say, "Hi, I'm ... and I'm the one that screwed it up." We all had a good laugh. Anyway, they are a top notch company. I'm a former Letter Carrier customer who's moved to P2P because there are hardly ever any lineups. I read the review that said the staff are unfriendly but the girl who was there when I walked in was extremely friendly; maybe they encountered someone else! Great location, and very well organized. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars not 5 is that I really, really wish they would also open on Sundays! Definitely not closed, as my boyfriend and I were there yesterday to pick up a package he shipped to Point Roberts to save on shipping costs. This place is even closer to the border than the Letter Carrier, but the prices are slightly higher for small packages (by 25 cents) if you want email notification. They also don't hold on to your packages for quite as long -- only 14 days, instead of the month you get at the Letter Carrier. This can be a bit of a pain if you have to come on weekends to pick things up, as they're only open Saturdays from 10-2pm. At least the border wait is never terrible. read more

Good location since you can walk over there. However, the drawback (and even more of an issue if you`re walking) is that they don`t allow you to discard your packing materials there. And the fact that they are closed on Sundays. There are hardly any lineups. I switched to Point to Point service after those jokers from the Letter Carrier screwed all my X-mas deliveries. So far been very pleased with Point to Point. They have a huge line up before X-mas time, but at least they don't send the packages back :) Otherwise there is a minimum wait to get your package. Email notification works like a charm, staff is polite and friendly. I've never had any misplaced or lost packages with them (knock on wood). Overall is very happy and would strongly recommend them As a piece of advice - maybe double or triple your staff for the busy time before holidays, so people don't have to stay in line for hours. read more

First off, I don't know the lady's name, but she has short brown hair, super friendly, always says hello and remembers my name(of course I am there about 3 times a month). Even called the one time I left something on the counter. You can park on the Canadian side and walk across to avoid the line up, which is usually only bad on weekends or later in the afternoon. So for convenience and mostly friendly staff, I prefer this one to the one a block farther down the road. I will continue using this place until they give me a reason not to, but don't see that happening. If I had a complaint, its that they make you pay a dollar US to recycle your boxes. I'd like to add that their parcel notification system is genuinely very good. They typically send a delivery notice out the day your item arrives, not the following business day like TLC. I will never use this company again. According to the USPS tracking, my package was delivered at 10:00 in the morning on a Friday. By 4:00pm I still had not received my "package delivered" email. So I went down to Point Roberts anyways because I needed my item for the weekend. I was told that they could not give me my package because it was still being "processed". Even though it's right behind the counter? Really? Even though I argued my case, they would not budge. They were not apologetic or helpful at all. So I had to wait in the parking lot. Half an hour later I went back in and asked again, and was told "No it's still not processed." Again, I pleaded to just go back and get it for me. But they refused. Again, not apologetic at all. All in all, I waited for an hour and a half until they finally "processed" my package and allowed me to pick it up. Finally left at 5:45pm. I will never use these guys again. For a company that is 100% based on their customer service, this was absolutely appalling. Terrible customer service, terrible experience. Rude staff. I recently used the Shell gas station for my latest purchase. My package was delivered at 9:40am and I received my confirmation email by 12:26pm. That is a reasonable amount of time. And it was 50 cents cheaper than Point To Point. The staff there are always super nice. Plus while you're there you can fill up with some quality gas at a reasonable price (not as cheap as the no-name stations, but I trust the gas quality more), and they have some great food and coffee as well. Even TSB, whose rates are slightly higher than Point To Point, would be a better choice. The staff are always kind, and the service is quick. That's worth paying an extra 50 cents for. Was my go to parcel service in the past, however, the service level has gone off the cliff. Latest incident, was told that they could not locate my package, after providing them the FedEx tracking with proof of receipt; they claimed the FedEx tracking number was not valid. After presenting them with the print out, they claimed the package was returned to sender on date of delivery because there was no middle initial in the name. Odd that they did nit know this for the first three times I was looking for the delivery. This was the first time I was told that a middle initial was needed, worst yet, P2P has no tracking number to proof the package was ever sent back. Shame... read more

I've been a customer here for years. The rates here are very competitive, they are cheaper than TSB Shipping. I was a customer at TSB for a few years before making the switch. I never understood why most people preferred TSB and The Letter Carrier over P2P. They are further away from the border, cost more, and there are much LONGER lineups during the holiday season. I'm always in and out within 5 minutes at P2P. As for packaging disposal, what's the big deal? You can't dispose it when you get home or office? You still need to declare the full value of your goods, regardless. Customer service is top notch with a smile. I head down every 2 weeks, and I've only had one parcel damaged due to their mishandling (they were glass jars, so it was highly fragile), If you're looking for a package receiver in Point Robert, I recommend them over the rest. read more

Conveniently close to Ladner/Tsawwassen. Line ups can be long if you don't time your visit. I try and come here mid week right after work between 2-5pm and I usually have no problems. I have used P2P for about 5 years and have been very satisfied with their service. Their rates are comparable to other shipping and receiving companies. Initially when looking to choose a company in Point Roberts there were few that I was aware of to choose from. The Letter Carrier and P2P are visible right after crossing the boarder. I tried to contact The Letter Carrier several times for information and was never able to get through. P2P answered my phone call and answered all of my questions. That alone helped me make my decision. If a company is not available to answer my questions with regards to service or packages they will not be helpful when I really need it. The only thing that I can think of that would make service even better would be to open on Sunday. read more

No More. I had been a happy customer of P2P for a couple of years, I came over from TLC when some of the staff from over there made the switch. I was elated with the friendly and helpful service at that time. Fortunately or perhaps unfortunately, that great initial service made it easy to recommend P2P to my friends, I have personally sent at least 10 new customers there and I was once their biggest advocate. With the companies growth and success however, has come a major slide in the attitude towards their customers. They sum this attitude up with a picture of a grenade labeled "complaint department" mounted on the wall behind the counter. I have to say, I screwed up and arrived for my parcel an hour after I saw it was delivered by UPS but before receiving an email notification from P2P. The parcel was important and I needed it as soon as possible, it was overnighted. I asked if someone could take a quick look at the UPS pile just to see if it was easily found. This is when I started to received all kinds of Bad attitude, being told that they get asked this a lot and can't "drop everything" just to find my package. At this point the other "customer service" person piped up telling me "if you don't like it you can ship the packages to your house from now on." At one point after I was milling about for 2 hours or so one kind employee took pity on me and offered to look for my package at which point a woman with a clipboard told him he wasn't allowed. That's when I noticed 3 other employees were standing around chatting, obviously they were hiding behind policy, gladly in my opinion, rather than being physically unable to spare the manpower to find my parcel. I was not surprised at all after 3 hours of waiting in the lobby (my parcel was one of the last processed) to have my package look like it had been drop kicked against a wall when it finally arrived at the counter. This is literally a minute's drive once over the border. Service is straightforward, I get the email from them within a few hours of Amazons delivery email, no problems ever at the counter. Don't understand the negative reviews - I used Letter Carrier until they closed and P2P has the same service and is no less friendly. Never seen more than four people waiting but I only go there about every two / three months. The wait at the border is sometimes a problem.
