My fault that I was charged US $150.00 for 3 packages. My mum was very sick for some time and then was I was very sick for sometime. I don't have anyone to pick up for me. Only started using the services in the summer of 2024 so there is no history of not picking up on time. There was no kindness or empathy, just "pay-up". I know I would not do this nor would any of my employers over the years. Yes, my fault but my spirit is hurt because there is a different way to do business. read more

Don't let looks deter you from having your stuff shipped here, I have come a number of times, and sure, it is a little farther from the border compared to the other one which is real close, but the service here is great. I've come a fair amount of times, and the staff are always cheerful, and value your business. They actually say 'thank you' for making their jobs easier when you have the shipping bill with you for them to see, and if you also have the tracking number it makes their lives easier to. The website is really good, where you can register your name, if you have stuff delivered here, and when it arrives they will email you, a very thoughtful service, and it's free, for a price they will also call you, if you want that. The prices are a bit better here, as they are more segmented in regards to weight. They open early, 8am on weekdays, but also 9am on Saturday, so if you can beat the rush.... do it. But when I am buying things from the US, I'm shipping them here! read more

Thank goodness there are mail services available in Point Roberts. This is my alternate postal service when I need items shipped to USA. Sadly, it does save you so much more money than shopping in Canada. TSB Shipping and The Letter Carrier are my top 2 choices. The Letter Carrier is cheaper though and you don't have to register. Thank goodness they are here. Professional ,fast and lovely to deal with. During covid I couldn't cross the border for any reason and so TSB actually went next store to USPS and collected all my mail and 13 parcels. They did the customs forms and sent it all in one big parcel for an amazing fee. They are patient and the place feels genuinely like Point Roberts. I went to pick up a package here, and it all went well, but when I got home I realized that the shipper had stuffed the power adapter for the item in the packing material, and it had gone in the recycling. I figured it was as good as gone, but called them more out of despair than anything else. From many businesses, I would have expected a sullen "dunno, we don't have it, bye" - but the lady I talked to was incredibly helpful and immediately started looking for it in their giant recycling bin, and when it didn't turn up right away, assured me that someone goes through the bins every weekend, and if he found it, they would let me know. And lo and behold, she called me promptly on Monday to let me know the power adapter had been found! I arranged to have it shipped to me in Canada this time. To me, that is exemplary customer service. They didn't really HAVE to deal with my goof, but they did, and were wonderfully thorough and polite about it. After 5 years of living in Vancouver, I cannot believe I only ventured out to Point Roberts today! I always shipped packages to Blaine in the past, wherein they usually charged 5 bucks per package (USD only too)... After enduring torturously LONG line ups going back and forth, I decided to try TSB shipping -thanks to fellow yelpers' awesome recommendations. ;) Monday lunchtime lineup going to Point Roberts was barely 3 minutes long (something I never experienced at the Peace Arch border)... I arrived at TSB, there was ample parking in front. No lines since service was fast, friendly, and courteous. They also accept credit cards and Canadian currency! Went to get gas as well. More expensive than Bellingham but significantly less than Vancouver gas prices!! I also went to the International Marketplace, almost everything was more expensive than superstore prices. There is an abundance of wines... Scored a big 1.5L of red & yummy duck liver mousse with cognac I am consuming now while writing this review. Hehe Upon reaching the border, I had my invoice ready and declared 200 usd for my received sunglasses from framesdirect.com (in Canada, my sunglasses cost 270cdn + tax)... I LOVE these guys! One of the best parts about living in Vancouver (in addition to the fab food and weather and water), is the easy access to the US and all the fabulous deals there! When I lived elsewhere, I either paid ridiculous rates to get packages shipped into Canada (e.g. $70 for a bag, $35 for a pair of shoe parts, etc...) or was frustrated when some stores simply refused to ship outside of the US. I'm not opposed to paying GST/PST when I have an item shipped from the US, but it pissed me off when companies like UPS would charge me tax, then ridiculous fees like COD fees, brokerage fees and who knows what other fees that added up to sometimes half the price of the item! TSB Shipping to the rescue! These guys are great - I've been using them for over a year and never had a lost package. Basically you can order what you want from Saks, etc... and simply use this company as your shipping address. They notify you by e-mail when the package arrives, and off you go to pick it up. Receiving service starts at $3/package. (I've never paid more than $3 per package - it's priced by size/weight... it obviously costs more if you're having them hold tires and TV's for you.) I went here to ship packages to my new address in the US. The woman behind the counter who helped me out was friendly and professional and I was in & out with time to spare. But when I received the packages on the other end of my move, it turned out that both the street number of my new address *and* the phone number I provided for the package were miskeyed -- it's a lucky thing that a resourceful FedEx driver figured out where the packages were supposed to be going, or I'd be knee-deep in a world of hassle right now. Great rates. Quick border run. I love this place!! When I need to outsource my shopping because nowhere local seems to carry giant pink flamingos, unicorn masks or jumbo bananagrams (actual last Amazon order), TSB saves me a little coin. This depot is located in Point Roberts, that funny little point of the U S of A that seems sort of accidental. Like when they were drawing out the border, they just kind of ball parked the map and realized after the fact that they cut off a little point of America that actually doesn't physically touch ANY other point in America. So they turned it into a vacation spot. Because that's what you do when you f'up colonial mapagery. Point Bob in itself is lovely but that's for another review. If you have no idea where I'm talking about... you obviously don't own a car. So ignore this review. Because it will take you way too long to get there by transit. Actually... i'm not sure if you can get there by transit. So no US shipments for you. But if you do have wheels, the border access to Point Roberts and ultimately, TSB shipping is just outside Tsawwassen. Why is TSB genius? You register online and then you can ship US items to TSB under your own name, thus saving ridiculous brokerage fees, shipping costs to Canada and allowing you to get your greedy little paws on lower US prices. They will send you a notification once your package has arrived and you go pick it up. Can't get there same day? Why this place ranks high on my charts is the holding fee is insanely reasonable. Take a small (16-25 lbs) parcel: The pick up fee is $4.50. The holding fee PER WEEK is $4.50. That means if you're a week late to the game, is a whopping total of $9. Hell you saved that by picking up gas across the border on your pick up run. Plus, no need to fuss with exchange beforehand. You can not only pay with CAD cash (at a reasonable exchange rate) but they will give you your change in CAD. *hug* Make an afternoon of it, hit the grocery store for wine, the gas station for cheapo gas and then hit the cute little cafe and have a cup of joe overlooking the water before heading back over. I often will buy stuff from the US. However shipping to Canada is either expensive or you get dinged by UPS for their brokerage fees and duties. I hate UPS. Shipping it to Point Roberts let me enjoy the free or low shipping costs and then I drive 30mins to pick it up. The location isn't much to look at, it looks like someone's house converted into a store. But it works. The staff was friendly and I got in and out of the US in no time. read more

I have never used a mail drop service before but I needed a Christmas present from Amazon, Not available form Amazon Canada until Feb, but instock @ Amazon USA. So I registered at TSB shipping online, ordered the item, tracked it , drove down to Point Roberts (32 km south of Vancouver) Funny thing is that I go to Point Roberts Regularly for gasoline ($0.30 litre cheaper) and when I used to go across for Gas I would get the double over by both Customs offices , When I say I'm going to get mail.... right on through. 2 days Later I picked up my wife's Christmas present, declared it at the border and was waived right through... best Christmas shopping experience ever. Reasonable prices. Their electronic registration system provides for fast immediate notification when packages have arrived. Point Roberts was always good for short line ups across the border but the lines seem to be getting longer. Still was faster than going through Peace Arch or the truck crossing. I was always wary to do the whole "Fake American" thing and ship products to a depot, but then I bit the bullet and started doing it. I've been using TSB shipping for a few years and they are awesome What I like: - It's easy: Just register and use your name with their address. The package always gets delivered (no more "we missed you" notices even though you were home). I've never had a shipper refuse to send there even though they're often deathly afraid of sending to Canada. - It's cheap: I've never been charged more than $3 or $4 bucks for them to accept my packages and hold them for me (I think they hold for up to 2 weeks for that fee). They accept both US and Canadian cash. - They're organized: As long as you've registered, you get an email as soon as they accept delivery. Once you go there, they get your name and can pull your item quickly for you. I have no fears whatsoever that a package would ever go missing or anything silly like that. - They have good service: They're always friendly. I haven't had a bad experience. What I don't like: - Limited hours: Closed Sundays and only open until 4 on Saturdays. Try to pick up your packages during the week, because you'll line up otherwise. - They're further from the border: There are closer places, but it is Point Roberts after all. It's like an extra 2 minute drive. It does mean that you can't really walk over to get your items though. Special note about customs: Don't be afraid of them. Going through customs always made me nervous about doing the American shipping thing until I actually did it. When going into Point Roberts they wave you right in as soon as you say you're picking up a package (A LOT of people do this). On the Canadian side, they just ask you what you got, it's value and then tell you to come in and pay the HST on it. They may or may not ask for an actual receipt. I've never actually been asked to physically show them what I bought (but your mileage may vary on this). Many times if it is under a reasonable amount (say a couple hundred), they just wave you through. Definitely much better than paying UPS "broker's fees" or other junk like that. Again, a lot of people go to Point Roberts to pick up items, so they are very used to it at customs and it's just routine - don't let the fear of customs and duty scare you off of doing this! read more

Haven't used their postal pickup service, as it is ridiculously pricy compared to other receiving services. I have shipped from them before, and they mark up their postage quite a bit as well. I have also dropped off UPS packages, as they are a UPS retailer. They have a computer for customers, which I had used (after asking the staff) a few times every 1-2 weeks to print off a UPS shipping label. I was accused by the owner of "stealing" their paper to print, and that I should be more considerate, as he was trying to run a business as well. One piece of paper. Probably a total of 6 pages over a few months... Really? They gain a significant financial benefit by being a UPS retailer--a service which I had used, and they had gained from--but I will not be returning due to the treatment by the owner. read more

Good communication via email, they get back to you pretty quickly and the staff are generally pretty friendly, but at the end of the day There are other places at the point that deliver the same service that can be faster and even save you money. read more

I have only used them for shipping, not receiving. However, their shipping services are excellent. They will give you quotes for UPS, Fedex and USPS so that you can choose the best service for your needs. At times, they will even help you package materials. The only bad reviews are from people who didn't verify their shipping address, that's your job not theirs. Another bad review is their line up and price, it's because they're good and efficient, line ups and a slightly higher cost are acceptable. Another reviewer indicated there are better places than TSB, but didn't list one of them, this indicates they are a, lying, or b, the competition posting. Get all your packages shipped there! I've used them for over 30 shipments over the last couple of years and their service is fine if everything goes well. But if there is ever a problem, their attitude towards customer service is very antagonistic. The shipper screwed up and used my daughters first name instead of mine (she wanted her name engraved on a present for her mother). Expected ship date for the item is late September. Surprise - the vendor gets the engraving done right away and actually ships early September, but ships it with my daughters first name, my last name, and the correct account number. I get an email this week from TSB asking me if the package is mine, and by the way there is now storage charges on it because it's been sitting there for a while. I ask why they didn't notify me earlier. I am brusquely told that email notifications are "sent as a courtesy" in spite of what it says on their home page "We'll notify you by email when your package arrives so you can pickup your parcels.". On checking their website, yes indeed there is BURIED in their FAQ a clause that emails are only a courtesy. So yes, technically TSB is correct and can levy storage charges. From a customer perspective, it seems like a bait & switch tactic with a friendly and welcoming front page and hidden gotcha's in the back pages. I'm also scolded for sharing my account. The fact that I ordered this item and paid for it doesn't seem to matter. I politely ask for the situation to be reviewed by a manager, and their customer service rep sends me an email address that does not work. Oops - she made a mistake and sent me an incorrect email. Finally get the right email address and ask the manager to review the situation. I get a snarky and belligerent response from Teresa restating their position. If the response had been a polite and firm restatement of their policy, I would have just let the situation go. However Teresa's response then went on to attack me with words in bold font to make her point, and talking about the "absolute chaos" that would occur with irresponsible people like myself. So net is, their attitude towards customer service sucks. There are other companies in Point Roberts that offer this same service - and as I check them out I find their prices are actually better. That is where my future business will be going and I will be encouraging my friends and colleagues to do the same.. read more

I picked up my first package at TSB today and couldn't be more pleased. It's further past the border than The Letter Carrier, but it was really only about a minute down the road. On my way there I passed The Letter Carrier and the lineup was all the way out the door and across the front of the building! At TSB there was almost no wait and the staff were very friendly and efficient. I showed my ID, paid three bucks and some change, and mere moments later I was headed out the door with my new goodies. Price gone up twice in the pass 2 years. Great deal when it was at $3 per small package, now it's questionable at $4 per package. If you live close to Point Roberts, then TSB is the way to go. For me, it would be cheaper and a better deal to send my items to Blaine, WA. ($10 per year plus $2 per parcel) Gas is a lot cheaper in Blaine than Point Roberts, and I don't make a special trip to Point Roberts to pick up a parcel. With that being said, TSB has always served me well for the pass 8+ years. Would still recommend them. read more
