Best experience I've ever had with a pod delivery! Kelley the driver made it look easy maneuvering dow my long driveway. He placed the Pod right where I most wanted it, but was afraid wouldn't be possible. He was fast and cheerful and efficient, with a real Can Do spirit. I called for a quote, and the sales guy required my credit card# before giving it to me. I was very specific that I was researching and not ready to order. Today, I get a text and email that it was the last day to cancel my "order" before incurring a $150 penalty charged to my credit card. The only contact I had with PODS was this initial call. I never signed an order, accessed their online portal, saw a contract, or confirmed that I was even interested in finalizing the deal. Although PODS cancelled the "order", I feel like the entire transaction (if you could call it that) was scammy. read more

I rented a pod for 3 months. After the 1st month, I tried to cancel the insurance that I had on the pod and could not. So at the end of rental, I check the contents and see mold and water damage of some of my Lego books. I checked the POD, and it was missing bolts and connectors that if present, would have prevented the leaks. I file a claim and get nothing, saying I didn't have enough damage, due to depreciation. Moral of the story. Don't get a POD! They are a rip off. read more

Previously used PODs and it was amazing but our recent move has put in in quite a pickle since the drop off driver dropped off our POD in a business parking lot. We placed our trust and hope on it being picked up successfully but after 2 weeks of being in our new home state (moved from Oregon to California) we are still trying to get our entire belongings to us. We have had to reschedule 3x in 2weeks and have asked for special morning pick up but to no avail. Thankfully the business owners that use the lot have been kind enough to help put cones to prevent customer from blocking the POD. From when we left Hawaii to Oregon they had very poor communication throughout their departments from scheduling to delivery to warehouse/yard. Worst part is where I live now in Oregon they do not service. Drive about 200 miles round trip to empty 1 of 2 PODS. Drove to Eugene, Oregon warehouse/yard to find out their warehouse roll up door is broken. Just went to Uhaul to rent their 26' box truck for $550. POD failed to call me to cancel and reschedule. They waited till I drove 100 miles go to Uhaul to hear the bad news. Then drive 100 miles back without my belongings in my POD. Still waiting after 2 months for a reimbursement for my Uhaul rentals and my monthly rental on a POD that should've been emptied. They still calling me for pass due payments. Yet 2 months pass with no resolution. Very disgusted with their response time and customer service. read more

This is the second time I have used PODS and I will have to say I'm not happy. The POD was dropped off at my house yesterday and the driver did a great job, she knew what she was doing. In talking to her I asked how fast it could be picked up. The drive remarks were and I quote. (Were just sitting around not doing much, eager to go to go drop a POD off or pick one up) So with that I called today and was told that the POD could not be picked up for 14 days and that it would take another 7 days sitting in Eugene Oregon before it even gets sent to my new place in Mesa AZ. Are you kidding me? Yes, I understand that the driver has nothing to do with when the pod can be picked up. But you would think they might know a little something on how busy they are. Since they say they are just sitting around. Then I was told the price is now a extra 200.00 from the quote I have in a email from PODS. That was not a good thing to hear, I have read reviews where this seems to be a common practice with PODS. HMMM In speaking with the rep from PODS I found them to not be helpful at all wanted to talk over me every time I was telling them that is not what is on the quote I got from PODS. Must be the way they get you to just shut up and take it. Then I asked to speak to a manager. I was told they do not have a manager to speak to. Really why is that. Unreal to say the least I was hoping the first time was just a bad day for it. Now this. Never again. I guess i will see my stuff in a month or so to go 1239 miles just crazy. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! Extremely expensive, HOURS AND HOURS/DAYS on hold to get a representative. All foreign people who don't speak or understand English. They completely messed up in where I wanted my PODS delivered. Had to get The Better Business Bureau involved and that's when they FINALLY got back to me. Still wouldn't deliver my PODS in a timely fashion and had to hire movers to unload them at a storage facility then to my home and unload at a cost of THOUSANDS of extra dollars. DO NOT RECOMMEND THE EUGENE, OR STORAGE FACILITY! Zero stars should be an option. Held my PODS hostage basically for highway robbery at its finest. I WILL NEVER USE PODS AGAIN!!! read more

The initial drop off and pick up went great, but that's where it ended. We moved less than 700 miles and they lost our Pod. I got the run around, repeatedly told they would have someone reach out to me and help, they NEVER called back! I was on hold daily for 30 minutes or more trying to solve this issue. Finally requested the insurance money they require you to purchase and they magically found my Pod. 9 days from the date it left my hometown till they found it. I started calling after 4 days. Fought with them for a week to find it and get my stuff. I have yet to receive any callback about the issues. Poor customer service, poor communication, and poor follow up. read more

My impression is that if you have a straightforward move then your experience may be better. However, I was very clear, both in my conversations with customer service, and inonline placement instructions, that our drive was gravel and a bit steep. I was at work when the driver arrived and they had an awful time placing the container and ended up placing the container at the top of our drive. While the driver called to say there was room to get in and out of the drive, this was false. When I called customer service to request that they move the container out of the driveway, they first said there would be no charge. Then, when I called the next day they said the local storage facility manager (you cannot have direct contact with local facilities) said there would be an evaluation/ replacement fee...essentially another $300. While I appreciate the driver dis the best they could, it is bad business to block the drive of my 84 year old dad. He can't get out, and if there is an emergency, fire and paramedics can't get in!!! Bad big business and won't be using them again - or recommending to anyone else!! read more

My husband and i used PODS when we moved from Las Vegas to Albany. My mother in law and father in law also used PODS when they moved from Las Vegas to Albany. AND my brother in law and his family also moved to Albany from Las Vegas and used PODS. Now everything was good when we got our PODS, loaded them and they were shipped - 3 PODS. Our belongings were stored for a year before delivery. My brother in laws delivery went good and so did ours, but for my in laws the delivery person pulled in and backed up and pulled in and backed up trying to manuver the POD for delivery and thrashed their brand new sod in the front yard of their 1 month old house. A huge hole was dug out from the tires and the sod in that spot has since died. (This happend in Feb 2021) My father in law and my husband tried to contact PODS over and over to talk about their damaged yard but not one person has returned calls or emails. The delivery people from Eugene are not knowledgeable about driving trucks or properly delivering a 16 foot container. And the management clearly does not care about their customers. read more

DO NOT USE THEM! DO NOT USE THEM! Not one single part of this has been easy or even decent. Since booking the pod to now trying to retrieve our belongings, it has been problem after problem and no one to fix it. After the initial mess of scheduling the pod to come load our things into, i was charged incorrectly multiple times, spent countless hours on the phone with their awful customer service, and now we are ready to pick up the pod and despite scheduling in advance, there is no one to be found to bring it to us. Not only did we already have the pick up scheduled, we rented a u-haul (which obviously adds an extra expense to the absurd amount we have already paid pods) and upon arrival to the facility no one was found. After spending all of this time and money, we have now been told by customer service that the pick up (which i have an email confirmation for) was never scheduled. Not only this, but they claim it isn't even at the location it was supposedly stored at the last 3 months. We are FURIOUS. This is the same thing they did when we scheduled our pod to be delivered because nothing they say can be trusted and they do not value their customers in the slightest. There is no way to reach someone from your specific store or even someone higher up at the company as you are only able to be connected to one of their hundreds of operators who know nothing. Given the great customer service from Paul B. when ordering a 16' pod for six months, I can't express my disappointment and dissatisfaction when it comes to the company's implied "promise" of a three hour delivery window. When ordering the pod, Paul was very personable and helpful. He said the pod would be delivered within a three-hour service window. Even the email and the voice mail I received said the pod would be delivered within the service window. My window was between 8:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. The pod arrived at 1 p.m. I took time off work to be home to show the driver exactly where to locate the pod. I waited until noon, 45-minutes outside the delivery window, before calling customer service. Dimitri, the rep I spoke with, was cold, uncaring and not sympathetic with my issue. He said the three-hour service window is an "estimated timeframe and not a guarantee." I said I understood, but why give a window of time when the delivery doesn't happen within the window. Dimitri said he would have someone call me to give the delivery time. Twenty minutes later I got a call from Rich, the local manager, who said he was short-staffed and would leave soon to personally deliver. He was a nice guy but gave no apology. While PODS is a great company, it is terrible in communicating with customers. All it would have taken was a simple phone call to let me know the delivery would happen outside the delivery window. I wouldn't have wasted 5 hours waiting and it wouldn't have cost me hundreds of dollars in lost income. read more
