I hired two movers to help me move out of an upstairs apartment with a tricky staircase and move 2 hours away. The quote ended out being way low because of time wasted, an increased hourly rate I was not informed about from when I got a quote and because I had to buy my friend lunch after I called them in to do the job one of the movers couldn't do. One of the movers was good. He was personable and worked fast. The other mover that seemed to be the one "in charge" was so slow, unprofessional, reckless with my belongings and unapologetic when he let a full suitcase roll out the back of the moving truck. Multiple times I had to ask him to continue to work. He looked like he was exhausted after 30 minutes. I was on a weight restriction related to a medical procedure and I still moved more boxes than him. I ended out calling friend on the back end to come help so it wouldn't cost me even more. They left the starting point 30 minutes before we did and they arrived 30 minutes after. My girlfriend got bored waiting so she went to the convivence store where she saw them coming out after presumably taking a break. Every worker needs a break but it shouldn't be on the customers dime or at least take those breaks where the customer can access the truck. Zero communication on where they were during that hour either. When I tried to call billing to ask questions about the rate change and to request at least that 30 minutes back I only got a voicemail and they never called me back. I wouldn't use this company again. read more

Worst moving company I've ever had. Rip off booking fees separate from the moving fees ? I'm being charged because I called to get a move + the move ! Lot of space in back of storage unit was wasted, but boxes stacked up very high against door. Not sure why end tables weren't used to stack boxes on or kitchen cabinet. Very unethical charges. Lots of problems scheduling and then was told I would not be charged for movers showing up early - nice touch. Mover claimed he never knew I was trying to get a move on the day they were trying to reach him. Make sure these guys don't change their schedule on you 2 weeks before your move. They committed to a date to move us and when we called to confirm they told us they don't work on Mondays any more. A reputable company would have honored all existing commitments before arbitrarily changing their availability. There are a number of better alternatives in Eugene. read more

When they send you the invoice for their "service" you will find that they have added fraudulent charges.. If you call and leave a voicemail or email to resolve billing and charges they will not call you back or reply. These people are criminals..!! read more

I found MovingFellows through Amazon Home Services and booked them to help unload my rental truck at my new home near Eugene. In addition to the fantastic job they did unloading, the price quoted had no additional hidden costs. I am super pleased with how quickly and carefully they worked. These guys were very nice, professional and hard working. I plan to use them again when my next load comes in later this month! UPDATE: I used them again today to unload both a POD and a Penske truck. I requested four men. Another excellent job done! These are hard working guys who only stop to catch their breath; they did it all in 3 hours. Lead by Reuben (as before), they efficiently unloaded everything and he also creatively figured out a way to fix a broken wheel on the Entertainment Center so they could load a 300 lb tube TV into it and move it in place! I had a one bedroom apartment and I hired a moving company off of craigslist to help me with moving all my belongings. The day of my move, the workers did not show up! I was so grateful that I found Movingfellows. They showed up within two hours, the owner helped me renting a U-Haul truck and ultimately saved my day! Both guys handled my furniture with care and asked questions prior to moving my things to ensure nothing needed any extra attention. Gerald was amazing. Fantastic job! He carried the mattress up the stairs alone. Even though his helper called in he still showed up and together we got everything done. I can't say enough about this company. They came to the rescue in short notice after another company canceled on us the day of our move. I had some trouble with the online order form and called to make sure I had scheduled 2 workers. Somehow it still showed 3 online and the company sent 3 workers instead of 2. I called to correct this but was told the the workers were already on their way. When I mentioned I had phoned immediately to correct this,I was told that they would pay the extra worker and honor the price I had agreed on. It is incredible to see a company that treats their customers and employees so well. As for the movers themselves, Cristian and his crew worked extremely hard. Overall had a fairly decent experience with Fellows. My biggest issue is that all but one of my end tables now have pretty big scratches. Two need to be re- painted. I offered blankets and was told by Gerald that he had furniture blankets. I did not watch them load the truck but did see that when they unpacked not one end table was protected. I'm waffling between 3 stars for the damage and 4 for the amount of boxes they had to carry, stairs and long hallway. I was impressed on how tightly and efficient the truck was packed but it was also upsetting that I have to spend money to refinish my tables. We were surprised that the time line for their arrival to start the move was 1 and 2 hours. The arrived at the stokes of 2 hours. We were the second move of the day. We could tell they were exhausted from the start. This also led to being an hour over the time we had predicted and hoped the move would take based on their chart system. We did not have much furniture but we did have lots of boxes so maybe that's why it took longer. read more

I called moving fellows Monday, May 11th to find out what happened regarding our move. Although my husband and I received a confirmation email form the company, they said it wasn't listed on their move calendar. It seemed to be a clerical error. They apologized for not reaching out to us when we left messages, for not showing up, and compensated us for the snafu. I really commended Movingfellows for investigating what had happened, and dealing with our issues very swiftly. The friendly, hardworking guys showed up on time, moved an entire studio apartment, including furniture, clothes, and boxes, and did it all in an hour. Had to unload a 28' Trailer, with 3x huge 8 feet closet taken apart and stored on the top portion of the trailer... and during the worst weekend of 2017... the Solar Eclipse weekend. Daniel, Nathan and Anthony came on time and ready to work. They took directions and understood what we needed and where everything needed to go. They were careful with the furniture and the walls, even when moving furniture to the 2nd floor. I liked that the price was upfront and easy to follow and I really loved the service from these guys. They movers were kind and very easy to get along with. However, there was extensive damage to furniture as well as both homes. Damage to many furniture pieces, scratches in floors and holes in walls. I wouldn't recommend them if you value your home and belongings. read more

Moving Fellows came to my rescue when another moving company was a no show. I spoke to "Papa Larry" whom was amazing and within a few minutes they confirmed a 3 person crew for me to move my 25 person office. Moving Fellows' crew showed up on time and were incredibly fast and efficient. They moved 25 large 27inch monitors. Nothing was broken or damaged in the move. Along with desks and other large office furniture. I will only ever hire Moving Fellows! They're the best!! I moved to Eugene without having any local friends/family that I could coerce or pay to help me unload the POD with all my belongings into my new home. I called Moving Fellows and was able to get an immediate appointment for two guys to work for three hours for about half of the quotes I got from the recommended help on the POD website. There was an issue with the POD delivery date and it was simple and quick to change my appointment day. Best of all, Jeff and Ethan showed up right on time and immediately impressed me. They were polite, listened to my initial instructions and worked steadily the entire time they were here. They were careful with my belongings and just did a wonderful job. They finished with 15 minutes to spare on the minimum time of three hours. They were cheerful and extremely nice to work with and I will highly recommend this company and especially these two workers to anyone needing help loading or unloading. It's unfortunate to have to give this review since we HAVE used Movingfellows services previously and thought they did a great job. However, we are moving once again and have called 4 times with no response. We have left 2 voicemails and have sent 2 internet requests, and in the last voicemail we simply asked for a call back even if your services couldn't be provided. Honestly, I've had terrible customer service in the past but getting no response from a company is beyond frustrating. So frustrating that I created an account on Yahoo just to post this. So if you're looking for movers I'd recommend going elsewhere. There are plenty of movers in town who can quote the same price and will actually respond to your requests. read more

The two young men were friendly and hard workers. They listened to what we needed and went out of their way to meet our expectations. This was the first time I've hired movers for a move and I'm so glad I chose these guys. Luke was extremely professional, methodical and careful with my belongings. He knew exactly what order to move everything in, how to navigate the tricky corners and cumbersome objects, and was very thorough about what was fragile and where things needed to go. He was with another mover who was also attentive and all around excellent but his name escapes me (I want to say Sean?). They also made really quick work of dismantling some furniture and putting it back together. We made it through without even breaking a single dish. The quote was spot on for how long it would take and they set a fast pace and stuck to it. This was easily the least painful move I've had and it's totally thanks to these guys. I drove a UHaul 9' Cargo van 450 miles to Eugene with fragile items packed in boxes, plus a precious somewhat fragile weaving loom, and an oak table. The two "moving fellows" met me at my storage locker. They were 1/2 hour late but called about 10 minutes before scheduled arrival to tell me their prior job ran over, due to moving a piano down a staircase from the second floor. My job was easy, but the guys were clean cut, friendly, and listened to my instructions. They are cooperative and want to do a good job. Really I cannot find fault with their work ethic, attitude, enthusiasm. I have seen more physically capable movers, and movers who are better trained, but these guys satisfied what I was looking for, which was somebody to offload fragile items without breaking them. It also is important to me that they had a good attitude and wanted to do a good job. I am about to schedule them a second time. read more
